A pig.
Love the interview!!!
I know that the late great Rich Mullins got to know Dr Scott Hahn at The St Paul Center in Ohio. Maybe Phil Keaggy will find his way back Home too.
I'm 69 years old, and I have been a fan for 49 of those years. God blessed you, and you bless us with your beautiful spirit filled music. From a Christian brother, thank you. I also listen to Leland Sklar, and he can't seem to say enough about how much he loves Phils music, and how much fun it was to play bass on Love Broke Through.
Keaggy you're gett'n old man..ha ha i did too Bro (holy kiss). Thank you gents.
Kind of funny(strange) when God sings, Phil vibrates and that about sums it up.
Love Andy music it very inspirational
Love it
John is a supremely talented musician. And one heck of a nice guy.
I would have been interested if you had asked Phil how he responded when he first realized his hair was falling out.
Heard Rick live at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, MO back in '89/'90. After show, he hanging out by himself behind the stage. While I walked by, I saw him to say hello, and he extended his hand first and said "Hi, I'm Rick." Decades later hearing this interview, I can tell he's the same humble man he was then. Thanks for sharing this.
Excellent. Love it, Chris. Thank you, GM is a treasure. I have 1 more for your list please....3 words. Next....Margaret Becker! I'd love to have a similar interview with her. Please and thanks
What a treasure Phil is to all Christians and lovers of music. Man, Agape Love is a wonderful song, he still has it going on…Nice to see him and hear his story. Thank you for highlighting him.
What a fun interview! I have been a fan since the “Whiteheart” album, but didn’t even know how big of a fan I was until one day when I was alphabetizing my vinyl in the early 90’s and realized that I owned everything they recorded, which was about seven albums. I saw them live at Ichthus several times and Rick was always so fun to watch worshipping. Thanks for this one, guys! Scott
We need that today! I, my wife, and my brother-in-law have doing this for 50 years. Been playing in the Scott Day Band for 20 years+/-. And with Scott in other bands 15-20 before that. Coffee houses are or seem to be gone now. Pastors don’t invite the local bands much anymore. Just the CCM biggies now. Just amazing. Thanks Lord for allowing me to a part in the earliest years. We still play, but not as much.

I met Phil Keaggy in 1972. Jesus Revolution. This should be interesting!
The Ryman?!
For me, this so cool!
Does anybody else wish Phil would move out of the way a little bit so you could see exactly everything that’s in the rack behind him!!
Chris the sound quality of your mic compared to scott well, it’s like with you. I’ve got cotton stuff in my ears.
Fantastic
Steve, what a wonderful powerful and inspirational interview and sharing your testimony. I'm from South Africa and never had the opportunity to see you guys life. Your music blessed me form the moment I bought that album, Things we deeply feel. I do music on WhatsApp's groups, and boy I still play the music of The Archers and Steve Archer on Sunday mornings. The one group that you did not mention is Living Sound who had 4 groups and travelled the world. When you mentioned But you didn't, I paused the interview and just listened to it again, one of my Steve Archer songs. Despite what happened in your life you remained steadfast in the Lord and he carried you through it all (Andraé Crouch's song comes to mind). I will search for your latest music. For as long as you life, please continue to bless us with your golden voice. Lot of love, André Muller, Cape Town, South Africa. (Would love to contact you, I'm not on face Book or Instagram, I do have an email address should you accede to want to communicate with me)
Chris, holy cow, good to see you man! It's Dave from the Footloose days. I just drove by the place on 183 the other day and was wondering what you were up to, randomly landed on this video searching for Tom Hemby videos, like you do, and there you are! So cool.
I've been a longtime fan & consider PK my fav artist. Once I went to see him perform in a Christmas program @ a local church, this wasn't the first time I saw PK live, but this particular night we sat 2nd row off to stage left. PK came thru a side door & sat in the empty seat beside my daughter, waiting to take the stage. I was wanting so bad to say hello, & what a huge fan I am, & offer to shake hands. At the same time not wanting to appear all starstruck. So I didn't say a word. Of course ever since then I've regretted not doing so. He did some wonderful looping that night & my daughter who was a young teenager @ the time was so blown away by his talents. It was her 1st PK live experience❤ Btw I am a LMT & do neuromuscular massage therapy & I use all 5 of the albums he recorded with Jeff Johnson in my practice. The music is so relaxing & I feel very appropriate. Plus I also use a few of the acoustic instrumental mellower albums too. But my favorites are Crimson & Blue & Find me in these Fields! Of course I don't play these for my clients to relax to. I also have so many other favorite albums by PK & never heard one I didn't like & also have become a fan of glass harp❤ Not only inspired by his music but also listening to him speak in these interviews. What a great testimony!
So thankful for the Archers. I have platters. 😊 Saw you 4 the first, at The Stone church in the EARLY 70's. Thank you.
Anyone that wants to hear Phil on the electric, he recorded with Chris Christensen back in 1982 for his album "Gift of Gladness". Title song is here: ua-cam.com/video/4jAMc9dA08I/v-deo.htmlsi=JOXI9qegfkuihrT7 . Everytime I tell a Phil Keaggy fan about this, they are like what? Phil Rocks! Enjoy. Chris went on to become the leader of the worship music movement in France.
I agree with Andy on the lack of a variety in Christian radio. Air1 was such a great station. Then they slowly became a carbon copy of KLove. I've determined to go out to Spotify and begin creating classic Air1 playlists based on actual playlists from the day. Today, Air1 is worship, which is fine. But sometimes you need variety.
One of my favorite solos on "Come to the Family" So smooth, so soulful. ua-cam.com/video/81HeNrHftV4/v-deo.html
Rob Frazier's "Cut It Away" album is still one of my favourite albums of all time. I still listen to it regularly.
You spelled "Rob" wrong in the video title. "Rou"
Thanks for this interview. Ric was very influential on me as a teenager. Esp with the "You're My Road", "Wear Your Colors", and "Can't Stand Too Tall" albums. I had to fight against so many people in my church just to listen to this music! One mom took issue with the song "For the Love of God" because she associated it with the saying "For the love of God man, smarten up!". She said it was taking God's name in vain! LOL
God bless you David!
They were responsible for my buying 3 different colors of those Reeboks hightops 🔵🔴⚪️
The Waiting Is Over is INCREDIBLE!!!!
Idle Cure???? Wow!... Bob and Steve sounded similar
Started College in the 80s and Christian music was what I mainly listen to and I very much enjoyed Mr. Duncan's albums. I believe I can say I have more of his albums than of any other Christian artist. There is just something about his soulful voice that I found incredibly comforting. Loved the interview and it really brought back some good memories thinking back to that time period.
All for one and one for all- Shoulder to Shoulder by Allies.
I went to high school at Palmdale High with Steve Archer. He was a great guy and stood for the Lord. It’s great to see he’s still walking with Christ. Good to see you, Steve
I am 63 and still listen to Geoff’s music. Foundations is my workout music of choice along with Degarmo and Key.
Hey David.🙃
❤❤
❤❤
❤❤
Great interview. White Heart is one of my favorite bands. I still listen to their music. Rick is awesome!
I met Rick in the 80's when I worked for a Christian magazine that put on Youth events. I would often pick artists up at the airport. Of all the Christian artists I met, Rick was the nicest guy of them all. We shared a late night meal at Denny's with him and his band. He took the time to talk to me and ask me about myself. His kindness made a big impression on me. Praise the Lord he's still faithfully serving Jesus!
Thanks, Phil, for your inspiring message of God, Love and Life❤
My first Christan album I bought after I got saved at 13 was "the Archers" blue cover with the three on and "with every breath I take" and picking up the pieces were my two faves from that. I wore it out and they are so wonderful.
Thanks. My wife and I have lots of great memories of seeing Geoff and his band in the late 80s and 90s. Such encouraging music. Thanks!
Love Phil! Real person Real.Christian
