We caught up with our good friend Pete Thorn at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow whilst on tour with the Classic Rock Show. Pete is up there among our favourite modern players, and is one of those rare guitarists who's capable of both baffling and amazing you with his playing. Pete is a self-confessed gear nerd, so it was great to catch up with him to chat all about the guitars, amps and pedals he uses whilst touring.

I used an LFO on the Boss ES-8 to time that pitch shift perfectly, when playing to a click. Nice trick with the expression pedal,though. Of course Steve would be on top of details like that. He is awesome!

Pete, how do you deal with the H9 not wanting line level like an effects loop sends? I have to put a pedal in front of it that will allow me to turn down the signal going into it, which I hate because of the volume decrease . Tried turning up the output on each patch but to get it back to something like unity often over loads the output!I love the pedal but this is driving me crazy.
