Great review! I currently have the Braava Jet M6 which I purchased in 2020 for $399.00. Suddenly, I got the white ring of death and it will not work. It's basically bricked according to iRobot who offered me $25 off a new one. I loved my M6 but I'm not willing to spend $399 on a new one when the old one only lasted a couple of years. I purchased the W400s and tried it out today. I feel like I stepped back in technology compared to the M6 but I am happy with the performance of the W400s. My only concern is the amount of water it leaves on the floor but watching other reviews, I see this should not be a problem!
No, it won't be a problem. It's very, very little water, and it's essentially impossible for it to harm your floors, even if they are old and the sealant (varnish) has worn off in places. Or if they are bare wood. It dries too quickly.
Thank Goodness for this video I haven’t used mines in a while and my charger cord was mixed with several others I didn’t know which one was correct ❤thank you for showing the cord
Thank you! Love your review, it may have it's faults like other devices but you looked at both sides while noting good and bad. I watched other reviews where slightest thing happened and they trash it to the point of swearing without thinking they may not have put enough water in it or something else. Idk it's nice to hear a review where good or bad common sense plays a role. Subscribed with notifications

I learned about the M6's threshold issue after buying the Roomba i7+M6 bundle. It almost was a deal breaker, but iRobot has been working on allowing thresholds to be marked in the maps. Since, it's not as bad as I thought. If anything I found out how uneven my house is. The issue is that iRobot hasn't made an algorithm that will allow the m6 to change its approach angle and charge full power to get over the thresholds without the bumper interfering. Instead what happens, is that the approach angle is always awkward, which causes the m6's bumper to be pressed and cause the robot to stop and think it's blocked
I’m very curious about this. The threshold issue was supposedly addressed with an update, but I don’t understand what the point of marking thresholds on maps if the robot can’t cross them. Can you explain?
@@MrRoombato the threshold update in the maps is still in beta. The m6 can only cross thresholds 3mm high which is a joke considering the reason thresholds exist usually is because there is an uneveness in the flooring. The Threshold beta says "help your Bravva Jet m6 mop more areas of your home by adding thresholds to your smart map. Bravva will be able to maneuver over indicated thresholds by disabling rug ride-up." Nowhere does it say it changes the algorithm to accept the change. So as soon as it encounters any sort of resistance, the m6 will still consider it an obstacle. The m6 has to hit the Threshold directly in order to cross it, which can take forever.
@@MrRoombato Hi bro, I'm from ILIFE Robotics. We would like to cooperate with you. But I didn't find the email in your channel description. Do you have any interest?
I have the M6 and it’s a disaster. Besides the mapping problems. I get constant errors, like fill the tank, won’t spray and close the lid. Wheels are designed terrible, sand gets between them and won’t leave the base. The new going over threshold feature now makes it stuck on my shag carpet. One good thing it the sweeping feature which picks up the hair and sand the 960 leaves behind. I miss my Scooba which was great.
What's the difference between the 400 and 400s? Does it navigate better or something? Or does it just come with an extra brush and a bottle of cleaning solution?
In theory yes, but the only real difference is that you can slow the robot down in the app, which makes it mop a lot better. These are both old and outdated. I recommend spending more money and getting something like the Dreame W10.
I definitely wouldn’t put any cleaner not specifically designed for electronic mops, robotic or otherwise. They may clog up the innards. I think cleaning solution meant for other robots should be fine. But since you only need to use one capful per tank, you may run out of robot before you run out of cleaning solution. :)
Really enjoyed your review. Thank you for your very helpful video. I ordered this on Amazon earlier tonight. Your review makes me think that I chose a good robot mop. Unlike you, getting a Roomba in 2004, I’m completely new to robot vacs and mops. I also ordered the Roomba i4. It’s not the newest but it has the automatic emptying component and appears to have good features for the price on lighting deals on Amazon. I just found your channel so you may have a review on the Roomba I bought. I’d be curious to hear what you thought of the i4 or which Roomba you like. I have cats so there’s always lots hair and litter! Thanks again :)
The i4 seems to be an Amazon exclusive version of the i3, so it's like an i7 but without a camera. The downside is supposed to be inferior navigation, but in practice, I don't think it matters very much. I think you'll be okay, though if you notice it having problems finding stuff and doing its job, return it and get a Neabot N1. Thank me later. :)
Thanks for getting back:) An Amazon exclusive? I’m not sure I understand that. OK I will pay attention to the navigation and if there are any problems I will return it and we’ll see what happens. I have to look into the other one you just mentioned. I have been reading about several kinds of these and watching videos about various robot vacs for quite some time and had no clue of which one to get since there’s so many out there and so many opinions. I just decided since it was greatly reduced in price to try it as I honestly could not figure out which one. I did however get a thought that may be the i4 was possibly problematic and why it is on sale.
