That's a great question that I'm sure a lot of people will have! The unfortunate answer is "yes." With an older phone, you will not be able to access ALL the features these buds have to offer. It's pretty lame, but for example... Ultra high-quality audio up to 24bit/96kHz is only available for S23 / S24 phones (and some Z-series phones). You can not also utilize some Galaxy AI features as well. They also require the phones above. Here is the source if you would like to read more into this: www.samsung.com/ie/audio-sound/galaxy-buds/galaxy-buds3-pro-silver-sm-r630nzaaeua/#specs List items #6 and #10 refer to what I mentioned above. I hope this helps 🙂
@alekso3147 I don't think the average person would use all of the features the Buds 3 pro has to offer, so you may not be missing out on too much. My suggestion would be either: 1) Buy the Buds 3 pro, but make sure you get a 30-day return policy in case you don't like it. This way, you can test them out and get a feel for it. 2) Buy the Buds 2 Pro if you still want newer quality headphones from Samsung. I've heard really good things about the Buds 2 Pro, but I have never personally owned them. Just my thoughts 🙂 you don't have to do either if you don't think it's for you
I used to own the Buds Pro. The sound quality with these new Buds 3 pro are way better imo. Definitely a solid upgrade so far. Still need more time to get a full feel on these though.
Samsung copied the AirPods cuz they are #1 in sales and the most popular earbuds...I wish the denial would stop. JBL has never had any earbuds that are popular or #1 and Galaxy Buds have been a flop...sales numbers don't lie. I actually own AP2 and the GBP3...the Galaxy Buds get louder and sound better. They have 3 major flaws though...they were recalled, the Bluetooth range is bad, and battery life is bad. I don't care that they copied Apple and hope they fix all the bugs and issues next year...they'll be almost perfect
@lamar310 I appreciate the insight! I agree that Apple is completely dominant in the ear bud space. I think it was bold of Samsung to try and replicate what the Air Pods 2 have done. Unfortunately, that's how most companies operate. They see what works and try to replicate it. So far, I am a bit more fond of how the Buds Pro and Buds 2 Pro looked. The Buds Pro 3 are pretty solid right now, but like you've said, I've also seen some flaws. I'm hoping they improve over time as well 🙏
I wasn't sure how long trade-ins would last. I felt it would be misleading to tell people they could do that if down the line Samsung takes that away. So I just mentioned that people can find deals around the internet. Which would hopefully lead them to see they can do trade-ins if that applies to them 🙂
@AdAuthority all good, even right now you can get really good trade in value, like between $75 to 100 for buds. Thank you for the video, I love any and all non crApple content.
@johnnykeener3727 100%. I traded in my Buds Pro for $100s and pre-ordered these buds 3 pro for $50 additional off. Only paid $100 total for them. 🫡 It's a great deal for some new gear.
Returned mine yesterday. Complete rubbish! Worst sound quality. Lacking bass and volume. My 20 dollar anker p20's sound way better than these things. Cool features. That's all.
I've been taking a few notes on my own of how I feel about these. I still want a few more weeks with them before I make any kind of review. I've got mixed feelings so far. Overall, I feel like they are pretty nice!
What is really great is that you don't have to like them, you can continue to use your P20'S or select from countless others. I, on the other hand, I love them. Only one exception, and that would be the lack of multipoint. Disconnecting from my Dell desktop and back to the phone isn't fun, I understand Samsung's ecosystem marketing process, but hey they don't make a desktop, so give a guy a break. Other than that I think Samsung hit a home run here!
I have a Samsung a52s and I would like to buy the galaxy buds 3 pro, do you think that my phone is too old? Like I will miss some features?
That's a great question that I'm sure a lot of people will have!

@AdAuthority Thank you so much. It definitely helps, but now I am unsure of what to do, I don't know if is still convenient🥲

@AdAuthority Thank you again I think I'll try the earbuds 3 pro and see how they feel😃
Listening on buds 3 pro honestly love these buds

Currently listening on my Galaxy buds 2 Pro, and three is more than two so they must be better.
Spittin the logic we aren't ready to hear

How do you not mention trade-ins?!
