FINALLY someone points out "did apple invent the design with stem". like seriously.... there were a dozen truely wireless headphones before airpods and no one came up with the idea of RETAINING the wired headphone's design?
Of course....Apple didn't invent it... Did Apple invent the GUI for Lisa? No, that was from Xerox. Did they invent the mouse? No. Do they create superb products? Yes. But you can't claim it all on them
The reality is that the stem design of earbuds is simply the design most wired earbuds had before TWBs came about, and one that has been widely used since their inception its a generic design feature. All of these idiots crying "copy" could google search "wired earbuds" and see that almost all of them, have some resemblance of a "stem" protruding away from the buds themselves where the wire would be. The original AirPods, for example, are just Apple's then pack in wired earbuds for iPhone, but without wires They just kept the design. Samsung also has had pack-in earbuds both before and after acquiring AKG, that the Buds3 and the Buds3 Pros closely follows the respective design language. The only thing Samsung "copied" is the basic function, which is a no brainer as touch controls gotta go somewhere, on top of adding more functions that the next Airpods might not have. These are in no way "copies" of a technically inferior product.
I am still on the original very old Galaxy buds (1st generation) I waited so long for the buds 3 pro, and I am tempted to preorder them. I hate their look, but the performance is just outstanding.
If the LEDs weren't so cool, I'd agree with you on the looks. I like the translucent part of the case. The buds plus are my favorite of all time, but the buds 3 pros are so dope.
While im not a huge fan of the similar look of airpods nor am I to the stems. I did pre-order these partially due to the discount. I currently use the bud 2 pros but still had my orginal bud pro 1st gen. I traded in those for an extra $100 off plus a $50 instant credit. So for $99 I said why not try it. If dont like them I still have my bud 2 pros. I am looking forward to next Wednesday for both the watch ultra and bud 3 pros both pre-ordered. I didnt realize how good Samsungs deals are when new devices are released.
Tnx man, I hope you will like them. The Buds 3 pro is for sure a new product vs Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, which is more like a small incremental change to the Z 5 series..
One of the most distinctive and useful feature on bids 3 pro is voice commans without waking bixby where you can increase, decrease volume and few more options, i think you have missed in that review.
So the air pods used to get craps because they looked like the old ear phones with the cable and now Samsung gets crap because they look like all of the other buds in the market 😂.
Nice review - you've got the face-to-camera sections of the video mirrored for some reason, so it was a bit confusing at first... I wasn't sure about the stems, because I like the minimalism of the in-ear Buds 2 Pro, but seeing reviews like this persuaded me. I pre-ordered them with a trade-in and discount, which makes them fairly good value.
Great review as always Velian. Can't wait to get these! I've never liked the fit and feel of the Buds 2 Pro. They are always falling out of my ear no matter which size tips I use, and i always thought the rubbery look and feel felt a bit cheap for pro earbuds. These new ones look sick! Wish the blade lights were RGB 😅
I'm really stuck in a conundrum here, I love the Galaxy buds pro 2, and with the trade-in I was able to pick these up for $70. My only issue is that my left ear I cannot get it to stay in no matter which tip size I use. I really want to stay with the buds pro 3 because of the additional features better sound etc, but it might be a deal-breaker for me.
Thank you for the rockstar video. Best review on this product I've seen yet. Are you familiar with the you find my earbuds feature has changed at all? I'm even more curious because they feature ultra-wideband, I'm wondering if you can use precision location finding with it like you can with the smart tag. Could you do a video on that please or does anybody have any feedback on that?
Btw, it's not that volume control requires 2 fingers. It's more that the top blade is media control, and the bottom blade is swipe control. Great review though
In case they haven’t mentioned but I use thumb and index and only slide thumb up and down for volume so the index finger serves as a little leverage. They don’t fall out. Your welcome. 😊
Hello! Could you tell me if you notice an important difference between the sound quality between the buds 2 pro and these new buds 3 pro? I have the buds 2 pro and they do not convince me in this regard. Thank you!!
The sound, although similar, is a bit more advanced with the manual EQ, so it is for sure more tunable. Also, the bass and highs are somehow more distinct on the buds 3 pro.
@VelianSpeaksTech Thanks for your reply. I went to a Samsung store today and looked at the "dummies" on display. I was concerned and nearly canceled my Buds3 Pro preorder! 😳 I love my Buds2 Pros!!

Got mine for 75 bucks with a trade-in, instant credit, and student discount. I mainly got them for the audio. (Electronic music sounds awful on many earbuds, samsung is one of the few that doesn't)
Do they have the double tap feature near your jaw for volume adjustment like the Buds 2 Pro have? (Double tap on outside of your ear, the left side to decrease sound, right side increases sound)
I just bought the bose quiet comfort ultra earbuds because of the amazon prime day sale but i have an s23 ultra and am wondering if i should order the new galaxy buds 🤔
And Velian, please, change your transition effect between different sequences, this flash 📸 effect is really unpleasant and even dangerous for some people. 🙏🏽
11:21 Great. I can keep the, off. There's an area near my work that is a police station. So when they have police cars blaring near me, I can keep ANC on. I can still do that because I only walk past the place on the opposite side of the road. I'm not crossing the road or anything.
I just bought buds 2 pro for 100, think I'll return them after watching this. I'll just wait until I can get the 3 pros for the same price, because that sounds like a pretty big jump in sound and core features. I think they look ugly in comparison, and its sad to lose the matte purple but the call quality alone is a selling point for the B3P
Can you use these/will the galaxy buds 3pro fit without the ear tips? I loathe my Samsung galaxy buds 2 pro because of their horrible fit and just okay sound. Only the bose quietcomfort first generation in ear earbuds (2021) and the bose sound sports (the ones where the earbuds had physical buttons on them) fit me at all and provide decent sound. Bose quietcomfort 11 ultra in ear buds sound and fit are whack bad. And the underarmour project rock earbuds fit to stay in my ears but they don't fit well enough to get the good sound (used to almost make me cry wearing them for anytime over 10 minutes but now my ears tolerate them fine for a few hours, I jokingly call them my stiletto earbuds.) beats fit pro fit well the first few wears but then fall out too easily no matter the ear tip and the sound is just mediocre at best.
@@VelianSpeaksTech I pre ordered the pro model and would appreciate being able to use them with reasonable functionality with respect to them fitting and sounding good without the ear tips. Sorry for sounding needy but my ears seem to og bose only with the exception of when my mom let me try on her regular airpods when those were first released along with her controlling her iPhone 12, they fit fine but were tough to use as I use android and windows products.
For a regular user, focused on audio, I believe yes, as custom EQ and the new drivers are better. For people focused on call, definitely better... In general, it would switch buds2 pro with these.
Buds 2 pro - 100$ Buds 3 pro - 180$ I use a OnePlus device and don't wanna spend too much...i mean i can spend but want the absolute best value for money
Honestly, I was really looking forward to these Buds 3/3 Pro (the leaks announced multipoint), but like the previous Galaxy Buds since the Buds+, they will not be in my recommendations for my customers and relatives or in my list of future purchases 🤦🏽♂️ Frankly, I can't understand Samsung's stubbornness to want to do like Apple 🍏 and stupidly restrict its earbuds, no standard/real multipoint, no standard Hi-Res codec like LDAC... Wanting to have an ecosystem is not necessarily bad, but you already have to at least offer features like multipoint and a standard Hi-Res codec... that are standards today on even $50-$80 earbuds, but when to have the minimum people have to be in your "close-system" like Apple's 🍏, I say NO ! Samsung could have created the ultimate earbuds for Android users, and even for Apple users (if an app existed on iOS), but I think this title will come back to Google with its future Pixel Buds Pro 2 thanks to Google Assistant + Gemini 😮💨 Ps: on the other hand, it's really a great product for those who are in the Samsung closesystem.
I wish you spent more time on audio quality. That's all I care about, and I'm not convinced to upgrade to the ugly design of the buds 3 pro. Maybe this product just isn't for me, and I can save money skipping it. Thank you for your review.
Yes, I don't have currently call recording on my S24U so I used it to record the video of the call while using my Vivo to perform the actual calk and record it. I can change the CSC of my S24U and enable that (did also a video how to on that) but I use it with my original EUX CSC, and sadly, that one doesn't offer call recording.
I also thought so, but you need to place both fingers on the stem in the so called "pinching position" and then swipe up/down... Could be that they introduce one finger swipe via Labs, but it`s not bad as it`s more precise vs one finger swipe.
Oh man... this is heavily disappointing. I will pass on them and keep my 2 pro's I guess, damn :/ One of the big reasons I like them is because I can lay on bed with them on. With that useless stick popping out of them, it would be impossible.
Not so much, you can use blade lights to indicate pairing or to find your headphones in the dark, and that's about it, I hope they will bring more features, ie for notifications and etc
I'm not sure if the mic is better, but for sure, the mic is closer to the mouth, plus more advanced ANC and call insolation techniques contribute to better call audio.
My buds 2pro is hardly an year old and the mic quality has been reduced alot! It catches alot of background noise lately and thats bothering alot! Im disappointed even though i have been a Galaxy buds user since 1st gen buds
Same. I'm more concerned about sound quality since I use them constantly but my Pro 2 have literally unusable mircophones. Simply having them on the stems seems nice.
Sound and mics are better vs Buds2 pro. The question is, should you upgrade. If it's only for sound and you want custom EQ, then yes, if it's for better mics, denifelty, yes.
Samsung again letting people order Buds and saying they are quality checking them, so your order will not be delivered. They will update you over the next few weeks!!! Yest they're still selling them on Samsung!
Well, if there are any issues, it`s better to fix them AHEAD of the lunch... but still better FIX them before it gets to the customer... this whole delays, not pleasant.
@@VelianSpeaksTech i know it's not good question but i am using s23 ultra so it should be good sound in it .. earlier i have buds 2 pro but i lost them 🫤 so now just order the buds 3 pro and i am bass lover so is it good bass .?
You're spending way too much time comparing the very obvious differences. Just review the product. You can have a section comparing them to the other options, but make that separate. Stopping constantly to talk about how each little feature is different really hurts the point of the video, which is to review the new buds.
No, the point od the video is not only to review them but also Unbox them, set them up and compare it to the buds 2 pro. Buds 3 pro is targeted at buds pro users so there will be a lot of folks with 2 pro wanting to see if that 250 EUR are to be spend or pass...
@@VelianSpeaksTech its hard to doing that i know and you put lots of effort, but I'm just saying if you want to grow your channel you should do this , look at big creator's like mkbhd or dave2d
I disagree. 20+ minutes allows for us to be better informed about our purchases. In fact, I wish he spent more time on the audio quality because I'm not convinced to switch my buds 2 pro for these ugly cybertruck hockey sticks for a very marginal improvement in the low ends (which isn't always a good thing).
Will my galaxy watch charger charge the earbuds? I have airpods now and can't change them with a watch wireless charger because the magnet is the wrong polarity

Is the ear tips easily removable? Or it is very hard to change the ear tips
It looks to me as they are removable
I've been hearing early reports of the tips ripping and leaving plastic stuck on the earbuds.
I went to a local Samsung store, asked the employee of the store to replace the eartips with a bigger one to test the bud (I always use the biggest eartips the earphone provided). And she ripped the eartips apart while trying to remove it. Believe me, I tried myself removing the eartips, it felt like it was glued to the earpiece.
It breaks easily. The official way to remove it is to flip the tip inside out and pull the tip out

Yes, plus whites are very appleish... for obvious reasons.
@@rolins3279 white case looks cheap but the buds itself looks good I think

I wish you spent more time on audio quality. That's all I care about, and I'm not convinced to upgrade to the ugly design of the buds 3 pro. Maybe this product just isn't for me, and I can save money skipping it. Thank you for your review.
Anybody know if I can connect the buds3 pro to a Garmin Fenix Sapphire Solar 7s?
Why not, should be possible if you can connect any other BT headphones to it
Is there a reason that you used the Vivo for the call and not the Samsung device?
Yes, I don't have currently call recording on my S24U so I used it to record the video of the call while using my Vivo to perform the actual calk and record it.
I can change the CSC of my S24U and enable that (did also a video how to on that) but I use it with my original EUX CSC, and sadly, that one doesn't offer call recording.
Have you tested them with different streaming services like Tidal?
Not yet, but I will test them at least with lossless 96kHz flacs
I did turn the volume in just one finger im not sure maybe cuz the angle.
How, I can't:( definitely needs a longer learning curve for me:))
@VelianSpeaksTech can you try one finger on the back side ? it work for me
Correct me if im wrong I think you were only supposed to use your thump for the volume not 2 fingers.
I also thought so, but you need to place both fingers on the stem in the so called "pinching position" and then swipe up/down...
Could be that they introduce one finger swipe via Labs, but it`s not bad as it`s more precise vs one finger swipe.
Oh man... this is heavily disappointing. I will pass on them and keep my 2 pro's I guess, damn :/
One of the big reasons I like them is because I can lay on bed with them on. With that useless stick popping out of them, it would be impossible.
Yes, I tried btw for the very same habit, and it didn't work.
@@VelianSpeaksTech thanks for confirming my suspicions! Hopefully nobody will buy them with that in mind
Don't this have blade light control features?
Not so much, you can use blade lights to indicate pairing or to find your headphones in the dark, and that's about it, I hope they will bring more features, ie for notifications and etc
@@VelianSpeaksTech i would like them to glow in dark to have a cyberpunk look..
Where's the comparison between the call and the previous version? Seems like an attempt at advertising...
how is wind noise reduction?
Ill stick with my sony wh x1000m2.
mic is better than on buds 2 pro?
I'm not sure if the mic is better, but for sure, the mic is closer to the mouth, plus more advanced ANC and call insolation techniques contribute to better call audio.
Get the oneplus buds
My buds 2pro is hardly an year old and the mic quality has been reduced alot! It catches alot of background noise lately and thats bothering alot! Im disappointed even though i have been a Galaxy buds user since 1st gen buds
Same. I'm more concerned about sound quality since I use them constantly but my Pro 2 have literally unusable mircophones. Simply having them on the stems seems nice.
Sound and mics are better vs Buds2 pro. The question is, should you upgrade.
If it's only for sound and you want custom EQ, then yes, if it's for better mics, denifelty, yes.
Does it have dual phone connectivity
It seems not
Samsung again letting people order Buds and saying they are quality checking them, so your order will not be delivered. They will update you over the next few weeks!!!
Yest they're still selling them on Samsung!
Well, if there are any issues, it`s better to fix them AHEAD of the lunch... but still better FIX them before it gets to the customer... this whole delays, not pleasant.
People now we can eq our music... Poweramp app evil laughter in the corner.
I am using the paid poweramp version, I can feel you :) Simply one of the best players on android (in a way the foobar for android for me).
Is there no "Samsung" mentioned anywhere on the case?
Don't think so
You didn't say much on the 360 audio 😢
Will test in the follow up, tnx

So the base is better than buds 2 pro base?
It is
Can we connect buds 3 pro with 23 ultra 😅
Yes 😅
@@VelianSpeaksTech i know it's not good question but i am using s23 ultra so it should be good sound in it .. earlier i have buds 2 pro but i lost them 🫤 so now just order the buds 3 pro and i am bass lover so is it good bass .?
@@VelianSpeaksTech thank you for your great time .
I'm using bud3 pro with 23 ultra and love it don't worry it gonna be perfect.
Yes
Tellme anc . And can i feel anc without buying it from video. Because i only buying for anc
Anc is good.

Buds 3 pro is targeted at buds pro users so there will be a lot of folks with 2 pro wanting to see if that 250 EUR are to be spend or pass...
well with how CHEAP the buds 2pros are atm at like 100$ vs 250$ for the new ones I think its good to compare!
I love your review, but you should respect your audiences and make shorter content , 20 minutes for a earphone is waste of time
The recorded raw material was 45+ mins, and there are still some things to be shown, sadly, sometimes you can't do it all in 5 minutes.
Fix your attention span. Or go watch shorts. Review was great.
@@matthew-sz2cs We don't want another MKBHD. We want reviews, not ads from internet celebrities.
Will my galaxy watch charger charge the earbuds? I have airpods now and can't change them with a watch wireless charger because the magnet is the wrong polarity
