Great review. I have a 45 gallon tank which I’m about to setup again. I tend to get larger fish and crustaceans which eat a lot so I always go a little larger than recommended filter size. I was going to get a Fluval 407 but after this review, I’m going with the FX2. I also plan on getting a larger (55-75) gallon tank to replace this one but my wife is not entirely on board with that decision. I may have to have an accidental leak in the very near future, lol. It was especially helpful how you showed that the outflow is not going to overpower smaller fish and without your review, I think I would’ve assumed it would be way stronger. The rest was a very detailed and helpful review as well. Thank you so much for your time and efforts. It’s so much more trustworthy than just reading text reviews on websites that sell these items.
I'm not paying $460 CAD to half the filtration... I'm pretty sure you only half HOB filters, as they boast to have a larger filtration capacity than most canisters for their size... For example Aqua clear 110 claims it's good for up to 110 gallon tank, for $120... 3 of those is cheaper than an FX2 and has double the filtration??
Not familiar with the Aqua clear 110 so no idea if its suitable for tanks as large as it claims but prices change from country to country. Here in the UK, one Aqua clear 110 is 282.51 CAD, the Fluval FX2 is 362.60 CAD.
I was just using the Aqua clear as an example... Looking through Amazon UK, it doesn't seem they have many hang on back filters at all... Seachem. Tidel 75 for 52quid... But pound for pound the hang on back filters always seem to be a better deal... Making me think those are the filters to cut the rating in half..
Ur so underrated idk why people do watch ur channel ❤
Cheers mate :)
Brilliant coverage of the fx2, just what I needed before I purchase it this week. Covered all my worries, thanks
Glad I was helpful mate, its a great filter :)
I was confused with the difference between the 407 and fx2. So fx2 it is for me, thanks
Same mate :)

Cheers mate, glad I could help.
I would always recommend the FX2 over the 407, for the small price increase you get so much more.
Amazing review video 👌
Cheers mate :)
