Grazing boards, charcuterie boards, or various types of platters are very trendy right now, and if you want to hop on the trend but don't want to spend a bunch of money, here's how to make what looks like a fancy brunch platter but it only cost $15 from Dollar Tree.
The shopping list:
3 packs of bacon $3.75
2 packs of sausage links $2.50
Muffin mix $1.25
Biscuit mix $1.25
1 to 2 cans of fruit (I used peaches) $1.25-$2.50
Milk $1.25
Lemon shortbread cookies $1.25
Coffee Cake (or powdered donuts) $1.25
Total cost $13.75-$15 depending on choices

Just a tip on spraying muffin pans: You will get better coverage if you hold the tray vertically and spray directly into each cavity individually (best done over the sink, because that aerosolized grease has a tendency to fall, and it's easier to contain that and clean it up in a sink than on your countertop). My guess would be that the cooking spray is foaming because of a poorly-made spray nozzle that clogs easily and maybe because the product itself contains a high proportion of propellant.

I hope you get this. I had been trying to get that crack candy to work & had wasted 2 pans of it. The recipe I had said cook it at 425 & 2 sticks of butter. They came out too hard to eat. Your was turned out perfectly. Thank you for the tip bc they call it crack candy bc it's addictive. LOL I don't know how to tag you so I hope you see this. I'm 65 & you teach me stuff all the time so thank you for these videos.
I bought a little re-fillable oil spray bottle and it's been going strong for a year or two. Highly recommend, if you can invest in one. It's cheaper in the long run, and less messy to spray, in my opinion.
Spraying over the sink is so simple and smart, though!
@@Aelffwynn Oil spray bottles are terrific to have in the kitchen, and 100% oil is better for using on non-stick cookware, but it doesn't coat surfaces like cooking spray does. Unlike regular oil or spray oils that are 100% oil, cooking spray typically contains lecithin, which is what tends to build up on non-stick cookware, but it's an emulsifier, and it's what permits the oil in cooking spray to disperse thinly and evenly and cling to cookware or bakeware.

Before the pandemic, I used to do a lot of community theater, and would always "cater" (well, cook) the opening night cast parties, and I have to say that if you want your friends to think you're fancy, get yourself a mini cupcake/muffin tin, because people don't seem to believe that home cooks can make mini things like that. I've used the tins to make cupcakes and muffins and also mini quiches and other savory things. It's like being a real caterer, just from that one tin!
I’m thinking about getting one of these! I believe it would help stretch food as well.

Hi, I am actually a new subscriber to your channel as of this morning. I do not shop at the dollar tree, due to being a diabetic and I am highly sensitive to sodium, therefore I always make things from scratch. I do appreciate and enjoy watching your channel. I like how you are always able to pivot if an item is not available and make due with what is. I heard a lot of people mention that everything at the dollar tree is $1.25 now.

The morning tradition for Xmas in my homegrowing up iwas "Christmas Morning Wifesaver" which is a casserole of bread, beaten eggs, bacon, and cheese. But it's definitely a "we're eating breakfast now" kinda thing. I really like the idea of grazing! Since you didn't use the fruit cocktail, one could get margerine in it's place? Folks could microwave anything they want if they prefer hot.... yeah - this is a GREAT idea!

Congrats on 100k!! Love this idea of a breakfast board. One idea would be to make a country gravy with the bacon/sausage grease (if you have flour) since you already had milk - you could do sausage & gravy over the biscuits. Yum!

That's a great idea!! For like the day after Christmas when your leftover relatives are still there! You could use toothpicks to keep the biscuits from falling, but just let everyone know so kids don't hurt themselves.

Fry the pop can biscuits and put powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar on them. They taste really good. Either pop out a hole 🕳 in the center or shape them with a hole. My older brother taught me this as a teenager about 40yrs ago.

Not confined to Dollar Tree shopping: I still find the recipe ideas to be first-rate. If I can in from a day in the woods, this menu would restore my soul. If I needed nutriment, this would work fine.
The issue is your sweater and tank top rubbing against each other ❤ It distorts the air flow and rubs therefore making your sound an issue(I’m an audio director for a media company) I pin my microphone with a safety pin sharpied with black so you can’t see it up higher on my chest usually attached to my main sweater or shirt.Hope that helps

How do you check when you subscribed to a UA-cam channel?
@@danadyd59 It's a little convoluted since you can't do it on youtube. I had to look it up. You have to go from your google account to "My Activity" and then find "Other Activity" in the side panel, and in that section there's "UA-cam Subscriptions" where you can view the timeline of channels you've subscribed to.
Searching "my google activity" in google should be enough to get you to the "my activity" page to start.

I recently went to mine and they have improved so much. Bringing in more quality items. Shower curtains, toilet seat covers, name-brand Tide.Many sugar-free items I like. However, items in their freezer need to be improved. Your Thanksgiving extraganzer is still awesome.
