wow sir you went to Miranshah in 1997, That is my village, very close to the border area, I heard a lot of stories from my baba about the soviet union war in Afghanistan, and I grew up in the war of al Qaida, I was in primary school those days when 2001 war started in Afghanistan, and also a lot of drones used to fly over our heads day and night, we used to be very scared, I still remember women in our village used to gossip that be careful to come out side of rooms because that drones takes photos (hamre waha parady ka boht khayal raka jata ha), i was a child that time but i feel the fear because everyone in the surronding were very concerned,
Actually, I went to Afghanistan in 1987. Well at that time there was peace so there was no security on the borders and people were free to walk around it. There was an airport as well for fokker planes and around it was a cemetery on both sides. But even at that time, foreigners did not used to travel alone because they could get kidnapped. The people of Miranshah were very brave and even at that time they had a good grasp of politics.
Oh my mistake, 1987, sir you are right, same my baba saying there wasn't that much violence that time, my baba is now retired but at that time he worked as a social worker for Afghan refugees with some organizations, though my own memories are all about war, being a girl it was bit more challenging for me on going to school because schools were used to be blast and burnt, but Thanks to Allah I completed my education and now doing my last year of Ph.D. (not sure but probably the only female from my village who made it to Ph.D., because most of the girls due to the circumstances left behind their studies ) @@MubashirFarooqOfficial

Sir, I have a question can you answer me that USSR really wanted to attack Pakistan in order to access the warm waters of Indian Ocean if USSR could successfully conquer the Afghanistan?
They had no intention to gain control on our hot waters. It was a false propaganda according to many sources. They came to support the socialist government in afghanistan.
