    I strongly suggest Rode develop a product similarly to the Shure MVX2U for the NT1 to allow direct headphone monitoring from the mic itself. In this way, we can record directly with NT1 on mobile devices easily, which will beat any other device on the same level. I hope Rode takes this advice.

      @@rodemic As a pro voice-over person I 100% agree with your comment @godfreykwo7714, ZERO LATENCY is required, the above video suggests lowering buffer zone....but that opens up more issues for the program recording especially with PRO TOOLS on PC. RODE you have to hear this advise zero latency in USB mode will = MORE SALES.
      PS: I use a RODE "ORIGINAL" NT2 from 1999 I have used this mic so much and its still sounds as good when I bought it in 1999 from Kosmic Sound Perth (I have audio from then to prove it). If RODE you can have ZERO latency with this NT1 mic I will buy a second mic, it will be my second mic purchase in 24 years :)

    Hello. Is there a way to monitor the audio if I connect the mic (with USB-C) to iPad or Android phones?
    I just ordered the NT1-5TH gen. Thank you for making a great mic.

    • @rodemic

      Hey Avana, unfortunately if your phone or iPad doesn't have an additional headphone port you may need to look at getting a USB-C to USB-C and 3.5mm adapter. There's no guarantee that this will work though. A more suitable setup for this microphone would be into a laptop or even using a widely mobile-compatible mic such as the NT-USB+

    I have a doubt, I want to buy the microphone for the 32 bits function since I normally record very loud sources, but I see that it can only be used if it is through usb! is there any way that I can use the microphone and my audio interface at the same time? I use studio one and according to what you say or I use the drivers of my motu interface or I use those of rode so in that case I could not use both at the same time, am I right?

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  11 місяців тому

      Hey! If you're using the NT1 5th Generation with an audio interface, you will only get 32 bit float audio on your PC if your audio interface supports 32 bit float. Not all audio interfaces carry this feature, so it's worth checking. Our drivers will not work with devices we don't make.

    So much latency... tried it on three different computers, always the same cr*p , even adjusting the latency to 144 its like having a choir of yourself on your ears . Its impossible to monitor your voice while recording like that, so there it goes the "32 bit float never clipping" marketing bs. Just have to use it as XLR straight to my Volt 4 and forget about the unclippable mic for now...😢

    When going usb is there a way to get zero latency monitoring or is there always a delay? I still think it’s a strange decision not to include a headphone out of the mic why is that?

      @@rodemic How about creating a special adapter to XLR connector that will have a 3.5 mm output. Perhaps this will solve the issue.

    • @Tazmanian_Ninja

      It IS a strange decision, and one I didn't expect. So the Røde NT1 I received some days ago will go back to Thomann straight away.
      USB-monitoring is a pain, and a no-go, IME.

      @@rodemic this is a huuuge missed opportunity... i honestly cannot even imagine how you could design a product that misses this essential functionality! rode has other USB mics designed before. did you just simply overlook that? then at least stop promoting it as an USB microphone if you don't have a monitoring option! 0-latency monitoring is not a gimmick for voice recording. as you clearly dismissively seem to imply.

    Hello, good day! I'm about to buy this mic, but I do not have USB C on my computer only USB A, and I have reviewed that the mic cable is USC C to USC C, can it work if I use a coversor from USB C to A on one side? Does someone tried this, I saw that for some people didn't work and I'm planning to use it USB only or in the meantime, thank you for your help!

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  9 місяців тому +1

      Hey there- many USB-C to USB-A cables will work but we specifically recommend the RØDE SC18 as we've tested it. A USB-C to USB-A adaptor may work as well, but we can't guarantee that.

    Hello I bought the rode NT1 5TH generation and the A-1 sound card and the NTH100 headphones. But I'm having trouble connecting it. in fact when I connect the microphone via USB, the microphone is displayed on the different applications such as unify, rode connecte and rode central. But, when the USB cable is connected to the AI sound card and I connect it to the desktop, the A1 sound card, I have the sound but the microphone is not recognized by the application or the computer. This is actually my biggest problem. I can say that the microphone works when I connect it to the XLR since I have feedback via the headset but the microphone is not recognized by the computer application either. I want to know how to use my microphone and my sound card on my Windows computer.

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  6 днів тому

      As long as the audio from the NT1 5th Gen comes through when selecting the AI-1 as the input device (connecting the microphone via XLR), it should work fine. The computer does not recognize the microphone directly as it is being fed through the interface :) Hope this clarifies!

    Let's say hypothetically it is possible to physically connect xlr+usb is it possible to get both outputs simultaneously? I believe it is not possible due to surges and stuff like that. I still don't get how a company like Rode missed it.
