Oh man, I might need one of these. I have a white Viscount original which I acquired new for $7 in around 1992, but it's blank (no logo). I'm kicking myself right now, because if I recall, there were two of them at the bike shop, and I only asked my mom to buy me one.
Great reproductions, I have my original 88 PFST Team which I rebuilt in 2015 but the original seat was long gone, I fitted a 91 NOS seat which I got a good deal on but now I plan to get one of these as they are very reasonable. Now if someone can redo the SR platforms that came on the 87' 88' models :)
So happy i bought 2 white seats,saved me $500-700. Redline RL20II's also used the 2123 seats in 87-88 with the Redline logo on the back. Mongoose in 87-88 and up just had the Dynamax logo ones for the Decade's and decade pro's and Kuwahara in 87 for brave pro's had the logo in the back also. Thats all i remember off the top of my head from those seats.

Oh yes, I wouldn’t hold back if there was even a hint of a quality issue with the seats. The guts are sold separately, yes. That’s the case with every new seat these days. Some guts are chrome and others are yellow zinc plated so it’s preference. Porkchop BMX offers those as well. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow very cool I always wanted a white one with the black logo but prices are outrageous, I’m ok with the clones, the logo mint that’s the most important part lol. Hopefully these don’t end up eBay for like 500$
That’s one of the concerns I had and made a point in my video. Armed with the knowledge from the video we should be able to keep the flippers in control. Same thing happened with the GT LP5 tires when they came out in 20 x 1.75 size. These evil people were putting them up for $400-$500 and being very vague about the description.
I thought I was pretty clear in the video but I’ll explain here as well. The 2123 Viscount seat was used only in 1987 for GT, Dyno and Robinson. The 1989 Dyno line up would then use the Viscount 2188 seat. They are not the same. It’s what makes this offering from Porkchop so great. And yes Porkchop is working on the 2188 as well but shhhhh that is a secret.

@@atrains I ordered a white one. I have an original 87 seat on my PFT but it'll be nice to to put this remake on and not worry about messing up the original. It's hard to believe us old guys can still buy some of these parts in 2023. I know a lot of people did not like the GT heritage tires, but I was pretty happy to have someting that looked like the original that can be ridden. Great video bro.

They look like it would look good on my 88 dyno detour as well as my 81 supergoose restomod .

My sources say they will target the 2188 next. Justin did mention that the 2169 is on his list.
