I have the Jaguar XJL. I brought it privately from an older gentleman who's wife passed away. She owned it. It had 18 thousand miles on it and he wanted 45K. I put 41K on the table, (cash)! Sold... white, rear passenger entertainment package, A real pleasure to drive. Unlike any EV in America, this provides me with a range of 570 miles which serves me more than well due to the 6,000 plus miles i travel every year. I took a look at the Jaguar XJ electric. Not interested. The range is just like all the other EVs out there including Tesla, (short and shitty). I don't care how much gas is. Im keeping my Jag and leaving well enough alone. One difference, i live in the United States of America. My steering wheel is on the left...lol!! The Jaguar XF 20d offers a range of 731 miles superseding any EV anywhere on earth....
@@ShaksAutos Hi,don't worry about you use gloves☝,this is a Jag!First time I saw someone Jag Xj test driver or owner use gloves, but I watched lot of video about Jags. That's great.I see inside everything is black but this looks like some Fantomas movie with this style black gloves😁.You know that?My plan I will buy from 2013 one XJ,XJR,575r or XF-RS 5.0 kompressor.I want use gloves too because my hand sweat in sommer.
I am incredibly privileged to own a Jaguar XJ R-Sport in metallic grey, and it's the best car I have ever owned. I have had a Jaguar S-Type, Mercedes CLS, Jaguar XFS, and a Land Rover Freelander, and also still own a Jaguar XE, and the XJ is the most luxurious, elegant and powerful of all, with the greatest road presence. I had it for 3 years without a single fault. I am so saddened that Jaguar has such a limited range now, after culling the: XE, XF, F-PACE and after 50 years, the XJ. However, what a beautiful car, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. A true drivers car.
What in the parallel universe...just realised the number plate. My personal number plate on my Mercedes is exactly the same only its 63 not 60...im currently looking st a bunch of XJ videos as i want to get this car next along with what i already have. Hows the running cost and service / maintaince like?
JLR reliability is a bit of a hit and miss. I've only experienced the 2.0 ingenium engines. I have an evoque, so far I have no issues at 32k miles. Only the steering rack bolt problem which was fixed under recall. I know a friend who's evoque needed a timing chain replacement at 99k miles. Which costs £3 - 5k to replace. DPF and EGR problems occurred around 50k or even less. But fixed under warranty.
This jag has covered over 90k miles and as for reliability, they do have certain issues same as land rovers and parts could be expensive. Thanks the support 🙏
I have the Jaguar XJL. I had it now 2 years and sofar, i had no problems at all. I keep up with oil changes and take good care of it. I love it and is a pleasure to drive. It offers me a range of 570 miles of range which comes in handy whe traveling. When im not over the roadm i fuel up once a month. This is a great ride....
As JRL engines go the more cylinders the better is an easy scale. Try to avoid Inogenium engines they crack at the sum I think it is after a short period of time.
@@ShaksAutos As a German I really dont get why someone would buy a powerful car when you have speedlimits. If you do some racing yes, but what is the percentage of people doing that regularly, I guess its below 1%.
Look out ladies he's got a jaaaag
'I stepped over your dog'
Aaaaaah, how silly of you, sir!
'In my Jaaaaaaaaag'
'Understandable. Have a nice day!'
😅
Damn, that's beyond luxurious.
I really like this Jag, even though people my age (21) prefer sporty hatchbacks.
The XJ is amazing to drive

That's going to be my next car love them
Good choice 👍🏼
Thank you. Very enjoyable. 👍👍😊😊❤️❤️
Where did you get those gloves? I want some to drive my Jag with 😊
Amazon - GSG gloves
For the money right now... That's a badazz executive automobile if the timing chain guides don't fail.. hear the V8 hold up better. True or false?
Both have their own issues but in the UK we mainly have v6 diesel and some v8 superchargers
With the gloves I thought it was going to be a Certi drive not a granny drive 😂😂

Just like any other 3.0 diesel. Fuel consumption is not that bad if driven sensibly
how many miles has this done? are these as unreliable as people say? also love the video, keep it up

I always wanted to own a Jaguar, only because I wanted to look posh and say 'I have a Jaaaaaaaaag' 😅
bravo🐆
nice video, too bad it's not at night. it would look much better ;)
I know! Next time if i get a chance :D
What is that gloves for?
To wear
@@ShaksAutos you do not have to be snappish.
I ask for serious.
Is it for better handling? Or just habit?
If this Jag has a newer generation Infotainment-System, will it be able to retrofit a 2012 Jag to this system?
Yes
This is weird I can't watch more than a minute of you moving around and breathing heavily and not talking..
Do you normally talk when you drive by yourself ?
why don't you talk ? give the video a thumbs down for this reason
Thanks for your thumbs down
