She had a big smirk on her face because she thought she finally had the votes to get Twila voted out, only for her big smirk to turn into a big open-mouthed look of shock as her friend Julie gets voted out instead. That was the moment she knew she was the next to go.

Ozzy's pissy attitude culminating with him flipping the bird at the remaining castaways and being completely done with Parvati on finding out she was the one blindsided him when he attended his first tribal council as a jury member was pure gold entertainment.
Why isn't Jason believing that the stick was an immunity idol considered one of the dumbest moments in Survivor history!🤔
Because it's overlooked by Erik's much dumber moment this season. Jason's moment was dumb, but not really game changing like other dumb survivor moments.

Because people tend to talk about dumb moves rather than dumb moments. Jason was really, really dumb but it didn't make a difference to anyone's game for even one round.

fr, my mom told me she loved ozzy when he played, but now that I'm watching him play, I don't find him charming in the least
I think the underdog factor in Cook Islands makes him very endearing and he is just a good looking, charming dude, and challenge beast. But yeah, in every other season, the arrogance is just overwhelming.
he was pretty chill his first time around, and it’s impossible not to appreciate his physical prowess. i remember being so disappointed by him in micronesia.

Well I love Ozzy in general but this season showed that Ozzy can be arrogant enough where he doesn’t see the issue
I just love how Ozzy’s fake idol aka” It’s a F***Ing Stick” got used in Ghost Island that got used effectively
Ozzy is one of those players I remember liking the first time around...but rewatching these seasons recently I find him incredibly pretentious.

I'm watching South Pacific for the first time and I roll my eyes every time he appears. He is arrogant, hard to watch, a little pretentious... Also I'm getting tired of him saying the exact same confessional every time lol

In a interview Jeff revealed that he waited longer to give ozzy a chance to play the idol cause he knew he had a chance of being voted out at this tribal
i can’t tell if making the fake idol was dumb or smart because i feel like it’s so dumb to think that someone would believe that was a real immunity idol. but i guess jason was dumber.

As someone who watched Micronesia BEFORE Cook Islands, I’m amazed at fans of survivor who try to paint Ozzy as an arrogant jerk when he was enjoyable overall. Sure he could have a big head sometimes but for Ozzy to be characterized as “arrogant” and “controlling” for trying to play the game is too much.
I know this is an Ozzy video but since you brought up Johnny Fairplay, he is the most disappointing survivor returnee player ever. That damn butterfly effect, I was so excited to see him play again and he AND Yauman going out so early? I can never get behind this season being one of the best because of it. So much potential, so much wasted.
The potential wasn't wasted. Parvati, Cirie, and Amanda came through and demolished the season and all the guys lol

Its similar to what happened with the Heroes on HvV, The biggest strategic threats i.e Tom and Cirie got taken out first, and unlike the Favs, the Heroes didn't recover

I think the Smart v Dumb ratings are way too generous here. Ozzy was awful strategically, making himself a massive target immediately and then totally failing to understand that he was such a big target, leading to him being the victim of maybe the most obvious blindside in the history of Survivor.
Which smart or dumb ratings should be changed? I usually just go with the flow of the story when assigning these.
@@OnceUponAnIsland Fairplay asked to be voted off - surely Ozzy voting for him is neither smart or dumb, it was essentially a quit. He also got 2 Smarts for voting off Joel (maybe I'm misunderstanding the editing here and this is only one?) despite having to be dragged into thinking sensibly by Cirie. He also did quite a lot more dumb threat level raising than was mentioned, and clearly annoyed people with his arrogance - the Amanda/Cirie discussion of that should be both villain and dumb imo, rather than just villain.
Still love the video, and there's always some subjectivity in ratings like this, I was just pretty surprised to see Ozzy rated smart by a clear margin for what is, in my view, the worst high threat strategic game we've ever seen. Had he even been vaguely careful he could've demolished this whole season, being a huge challenge beast who also has an idol is such a strong position.
Good points. Anytime anyone survives a tribal council it is counted as smart since that is the point of Survivor. However, if Ozzy had lost Amanda at the first tribal, for example, then I would have put smart/dumb. I can see the rest as a matter of interpretation. It is pretty hard to reach the merge and play a dumb game considering he led the Malakal tribe, begrudgingly, and survived 7 tribals and was 1 vote shy from surviving a tribal. Had he not been so overconfident, he was an idol play or just winning immunity instead of dropping for food, from making it much further.
He is more underrated by the hardcore fans than overrated by casuals. The hate boner for challenge beasts is so annoying.
I just don't like his arrogance and pretentiousness. He's a challenge beast for sure, though, and I give him all the kudos for that.
I don't belive he's hated because he's a challenge beast. He's hated because he becomes a bit too arrogant and controlling in every subsequent appearance. Plus he is really really one note, constantly talks about how much he provides for his tribe(I mean he does, a lot), and how he is invaluable because of it, finding and trying to romance a hot girl, Trying to control his tribes entire action, etc.(He would've been like this in Cook Islands as well had he not been pushed in the minority for most of the game)

It's not just this season. Ozzy has ALWAYS been an arrogant prick. This just happens to be the one time the narrative paints him in a negative light while both Cook Islands and South Pacific edited him to be this underdog hero that he never actually was.
He was an underdog though in Cook Islands post-swap AND post-mutiny and was an underdog in South Pacific once Upolu took control of the game post-merge. Hero or not, arrogant or not, regardless, the odds were definitely stacked against him.
You must be a very jealous person because I don't see any arrogance in him at all. I see a calm cool and collective player that can wax anybody's assets.
