  • Took the Aarma Kraton out again to a new bmx track.
I replaced the rear diff housing (diff Bulk Head) as i did break it in the last time i brought the car out.
All was going fine, doing jumps and having a bash, until it cut out.
I did notice that the wiring was extremly hot between the battery and the esc, exspeciallyu the xt90 to xt60 connector.
I struggled to pull apart the conector from the xt60 side as ther Positive terminal had melted.
Ive got a few questions to ask
Didi it overheay from bad wiring?
Was the battery too big for the car?
Was the xt60 a bad choice tio use on the car?
    Should i just use a xt90 connector

Man, on 4s it is not recommended to use an adapter, good thing it didn't catch fire

Yeah your issue is the xt60, only good for upto around 80a max especially on what is essentially a 1/8 off-road rig.
That's why I've always used 5.5mm gold connectors on anything over 80a 3s, even bigger than xt90 just to be sure.
    Great spot though man👌

Yeah going to have to change the connector. i would say that is getting all the heat then transfering it down the cables to the esc. a small error, but easily fixed. Thanks., yeah great spot, il def get you out there next time for a bash.

EC5 or XT90, shouldn't even be thinking about an EC3 or XT60 in this amperage range.

@@Matt-mh5ud yeah that’s my error I’ve made. Ive already changed them to xt90s. Thanks . 👍🏼🚗. Need to learn more about electronics. 🤪

I'd repair your divets, holes in the track. Or next time you go back there will be a sign that says no RCs allowed!

@@jeremycravens6973 yeah apart from the divet, there were plenty of areas already worn out from the bike tyre tracks as they kept on tracking in the same spot. But yeah I haven’t seen a sign yet. And hope
      Not to!. 👍🏼🚗
