  • The tube and worm is a classic striped bass fishing technique that's been around for decades. In this episode, you'll get a never-before-seen look at how striped bass bite tubes underwater, and from above via drone!

Nice video. My two cents: I caught stripers all summer and fall in LIS/CT on wormless tubes. It seemed to work just as well as with worms!

Interesting! Thank you for sharing. In my area I seem to do much better with real sea worms on the hook.

OK, so... I don't understand how letting the line out 5 seconds at a time has anything to do with hanging up on structure. Can you please explain? Thanks!

That way the tube sinks slowly. If i let the tube out for 60 seconds straight, it would fall to the bottom and get hung up. By pausing every so often you prevent that.

@@MyFishingCapeCod But it eventually DOES hit bottom, whether you let it out fast or slow. Right?

I had an uncle who loved trolling the tube. I hated going with him because all I wanted to throw was topwater, and he wouldn't change for anything. We caught alot fish though.

LOL, I know the type! I used to not be a fan of trolling tubes either, but it does catch fish, no doubt about that.

Hello, Did you make that lure and if so did you use a piece of wire inside the tube to keep that bend.
