Jayden Garcia I don't think It's bad for their health, it's that they don't really like carrots as much as people think they do, but then again, I don't know jack shit about rabbits xd.
This was very kind of him. I have a rabbit myself, and I know its not good to feed them carrots. Also, instead of grabbing them quickly, he should have slowly approached them and showed that he meant no harm to reduce stress. But, he does not have experience with rabbits, so you guys should stop hating on him! He meant no harm and he was trying to help. He doesn't know whats good/bad for them. He already saved their lives geez.
It's not bad to give them carrots, it's just not ideal as a diet because they contain sugar so they should be given more as treats. Considering they were starving, I wouldn't say it's bad but maybe other foods would've been better.
It takes time to earn their trust. The man figured there wasn't much time for that they were there for who knows how long? and didn't eat anything for a while.
When I was in high school, a girl asked me if I wanted a baby rabbit she had found around the school. It was so tiny!?! I will ook it and took it home with me. My mom helped me with it and we had to feed it with an eyedropper at first. It was very healthy and grew fast. We would play in the living room floor. At night when I was laying on the couch watching TV, it would lay on my chest, kick his legs out, and fall asleep.☺️. I knew that once it got big enough, I would need to let it be free😭. I let it go one day and off he went. But he would return to my yard everyday to eat grass and come say hi.... ☺️. Best experience ever
It was nice of you to rescue them. As they were the size of a fist, eyes open and ears up, they were old enough to make it on their own. That is why they disappeared as they moved on. Believe they are eastern cottontails.
I just saved one this morning!! Posting it on my channel today because I caught it all on GoPro. A stoat was trying to kill it and I unintentionally saved its life!
I once had 3 rabbits that were caught in an old microwave I found in a dumpster while throwing out the trash, I accidentally crushed the mom rabbit, so as a way to say sorry, I decided to take make a grave for the mom rabbit and I took care of the baby rabbits until adulthood, I gave them the chance to be free if they wanted to, they all went their separate ways and I started to cry because they never had a mother, and I never showed them the grave, I hope they're okay.

I know they are "wild" rabbits, but I would have cared for them until they were a little bigger... maybe until they were full grown. Usually if the mom doesn't return after a day, most likely means she's dead :/
it did because they are separated from this person who shoved human food in their face. Lagmorph do not eat us people food grass and leaves some times but many grass.

They are rabbits 🐇 not chickens it’s part of the mother rabbits instinct to leave them there hidden and not visit frequently to avoid predators following the mother where she keeps her nest. Nothing was saved
You should feed them green vegetation instead of carrots. They naturally don't eat root vegetables and from what i've read, feeding them entirely of carrots is bad for them, it's like the equivalent of eating only candies for us humans.
Everyone in the comments saying carrots are bad for rabbits. They might be, but how is someone who doesn't raise/own rabbits supposed to know? Offering them a carrot isn't going to do much harm. They obviously didn't care for it anyways and preferred to nibble on the grasses. Thank you OP for saving them.
You did a great job there, they were big enough to leave the nest so the mother never came back for them, actually she abandoned them. If something like that happens again, do not feed them with carrots, they don't like it, give them lettuce or spinach, something green and they'll love it. Nice work!!!
We have the same issue. Mama cottontail dug her nest against our house by the stormwell and now that the babies are out of the nest, they keep falling in. I have pulled them out probably 7 or 8 times now. Last time I did it, baby screamed and I turned around to mama watching me from the driveway. Whoops
The mother hides her babies while she goes off and forges for food. The mother did NOT abandon her babies like the person in the video thought. The mother rabbit will return later in the day to feed her babies and protect them. When she leaves she hides them so predators won't get them.
Found a pair of babies in the back yard 11 days ago, one a few days after the other. I figured if it was that easy for someone as un-nimble as me to simply scoop them up, then they would be easy pickings for a cat, dog, or hawk. Built a large-ish cage for them, and brought them inside. In the 11 days since we've had them, they seem to have doubled in size. Provided them with some structures inside the cage to hide in, and put a wide-mouth jar on its side, packing lots of chopped kale into it, which they seem to virtually empty out every night. They like apple peels and banana slices as well, and have expressed interest in peach as well as carrot sticks. Keep in mind that as much as we associate rabbits with carrots, at what is probably less than 4-6 weeks of age, they will not have encountered carrot before, and not have seen an adult eat them, giving the "all clear" sign. The kale seems to be keeping them happy, pooping, and growing. Whether either of them eventually tames enough to become a pet, and replace our now-deceased house rabbit, remains to be seen. At he very least, they will be released when they are big and spry enough to take care of themselves.
They love wet lettuce, I raised 3 Baby Jack Rabbit's when eyes were still closed. Fed them warm Milk from a Dolls Baby Bottle, it was quite the sweet job but I didn't mind. when they got older the Boxes got bigger, they grow very quickly. I went around to the Produce Huster everyday and he gave me the Lettuce Leaves he had pulled off. I would wash them off and the Bunnies sure loved them, they never munched on Carrot's. Three months old they were Big and I knew it was time to let them go back into the Forest. Bittersweet as two hopped away and one didn't want to leave me, so I stomped the ground clapped my hands and finally she hopped along after her litter. I'll never forget those sweet little babies no bigger than 3 inches long when I found them.🐰
If you grow chickens or rabbits in the backyard, you will know they are like magnets to draw in every type of carnivores roaming the neighborhoods at night. I mean every meat-eater you can think of, including a stoat, a fox, a raccoon, a coyote, etc. I don't think those rabbits lived long after leaving you, I'm afraid.
I wish he had properly picked them up. Not only do they feel like they are going ro be killed by a predator but kicking their legs like that isnt good. He should have gently scooped them but Im happy that they are safe
You didn't actually "save" them, you just delayed their demise another day.. You should have contacted animal rescue, or made sure the mom came back. It's very likely that they ended up falling victim to an area predator.
they did fall from the nest into that hole were no exit was. one was already dead so they were there for quite some time. the mother could also have them abandoned as they didnt come out. but i have feeling nontheless those poor dudes are dead. see no way how they could survive the next cat attack
I once had these kind of bunnies in my backyard once. It was cool watching them grow, and even saved them from drowning from the rainstorm. But of course they had to go, since they were growing, and left the hole. I was pretty sad but realized "Hey, it's nature."
gamer gal2300 he didn't do anything to the nest, and the mom wasn't there, so it was okay. he saved them when they fell in the hole, so he was actually helping them
as long as you dont tamper with the nest when the mama bun can see you its all good, as for the babies they had fallen in a hole by their own accord and he simply helped them out, he didn't do anything to the nest except take photos.
Oh my goodness thank goodness you checked the hole. Poor baby that dies but three are saved thanks to you. I'm a huge bunny lover I have a house bunny. Bless you for being their hero. They are so very very cute.
i had a nest of baby bunnies right next to my house for a few days and i just loved going out there to see if they're ok and check up on them. i offered some lettuce etc but they either did not like it or were too scared to eat it bc it was handled by me. one night it was storming and to help protect them, we put a wooden board over them to shelter them. eventually they ran off but im still proud of my attempt at being responsible and taking care of something living lol
The first rabbit I had was a rescue. I rescued her from almost being eaten by two dogs. She was just a baby and was completely terrified from that. I named her Sonny and I had for 3+ years. Unfortunately, someone stole her while I was away once. I had left her in the care of my cousin and when I came back she was gone. They took her cage and her babies (she had recently had 4 baby bunnies). I guess they left her outside for I don't know what reason. I miss her so much. It's been 4 years since then. Now, I have a 1 year old lionhead bunny whom I adopted and she's the sweetest.
even I had a bunny when I was small ... they were so cute but one day when I went to my aunt house I gave my rabbit to my neighbours and when I returned they informed me that my bunnies are no more they were death I cried so much . ... they told me that they will arrange other bunny for me but I refused because now I was able to understand the pain of loosing a pet .......rip to my lovely bunnies
just so you know, when baby rabbits are born the mother would only nurse them for 2 or 3 times. after that the baby rabbits are set to live on their own. the mother rabbit only visits the babies for 1 - 4 times a week. so its pretty normal to find baby rabbits on their own. just leave them there. if a baby rabbit is hurt, call your local wild animal rescue to help them.
in my friends neighborhood, there was a family of baby bunnies. the kids would always mess around and scare the mother away so the baby bunnies were left alone. they were getting very thin and looked like they were hungry. the mother didn't return for days so we took the the baby bunnies (Tom, BunBun, Fluff, because I like naming things) to a animal shelter. they were less than a year old which was an unfortunate age to lose your mom. they were saved and we visit the bunnies every month. 😊
i read that carrots are actually bad for rabbits because they have too much sugar. Lettuce is the proper food for rabbits. loved the video though(not complaining). i think that this was awesome of you to do to help these rabbits out.
Good job. They were clearly old enough to survive without mother's milk. As long as they avoided predators and cars, they will have survived. I know this from having nursed baby cottontails. They were big enough to live entirely off food they find.
Actually, it's a myth that wild rabbits like carrots. Since it's not in their normal diet, it can be very unhealthy for them. I believed it for a long time, but the best thing for them to eat are plants that you usually find around your home. Basically they eat grass. I'm not a rabbit expert, though, I read it somewhere or someone told me that you aren't supposed to feed wild rabbits carrots. I don't exactly know what they eat, though. Cool story: When I was younger a mother cottontail gave birth to 3 or 4 babies in our neighbors' backyard (Nobody was really living there, though.) so everyday I would go to the nest and check on the babies. When they reached adulthood and left the nest, 1 or 2 of them stayed in our yard and are really comfortable around me. I once got so close to one I could almost pet it. I haven't seen it recently, though. I hope nothing bad happened to it. My dog a few weeks ago found a baby cottontail in a nest and decided it would be fun to kill it and play tag with me while it was in his mouth. It was awful. I don't think there were others, and if there were they left the nest already since it was a few weeks ago and they grow up pretty quickly.
Some comments here are savage. The carrots thing is true, though, not even adults eat them usually. I feel like your intentions weren't bad though so it's appreciated that you looked after them, I just hope that didn't made them extraviate from their mother or that it didn't scare her away from the babies.
I once had a rabbit make its nest literally in the middle of my backyard, in a very shallow hole. I almost ran over them with the lawnmower were it not for one of the babies screaming when I got close. However, I had already disturbed and ruined the nest's covering, so when it downpoured later that day, I used a wooden container to cover the nest and propped open the flap to let the mother in if she wanted, since I saw her hiding under some nearby bushes. The next day, the nest was empty, the mother probably having taken all the babies somewhere else. Keep in mind these babies were probably just born, as they lacked any fur at all and looked more like little mice.
thank you for getting those bunnies out of that hole! but guys just think if that man never got the rabbits out of the hole they would of died... But thank you for saving theses lovely bunnies!!!!!
I've had 2 wild rabbits in my life as pets, sadly neither made it above adolescence. One I literally almost gave my pit a concussion to make him let go, I thought it was dead at first but he was okay so I named him lucky. I had to visit my aunt a year later and when I came back my little lucky had passed. And the second one was Clover last summer, she was almost full grown and my dad's cat had gotten ahold of her, and left her to die. She had a massive gash on her back leg but was starting to heal and she would wobble to me when I let her roam the room to exercise(with full intent on putting her back where she belongs) I had her for a month and the vet said she wouldn't last but a few days, until the cat got in and gave the poor baby a heart attack, litterally. I rescued a crow when I was younger as well, I threw rocks at the parents bc they had already attacked and killed his brother. He grew up and I released him, he still cones back for bird seed every spring.
This happened this year! I remember my family and I were at a water park in California, it was Fourth of July. I was sleeping mostly but when It was time for fireworks and we needed to leave, I decided to look into the hollow tree stump and low and behold! Little baby cats! I alerted the park while me and some others looked in the hole (we were trying to grab them) and park security came, couldn’t grab them, and asked some by passer to grab em out! I also have really low quality pictures since someone else took a picture and sent them to me through messages. Not sure what happened to the cats though. We left before we could see all of them leave, apparently three of the four were stuck to the floor of the stump. I also got pictures of them albeit, low quality since I was sent them. Never knew what happens to those cats.

They're cute and you sir are a gentle soul!
You didn't actually "save" them, you just delayed their demise another day.. You should have contacted animal rescue, or made sure the mom came back. It's very likely that they ended up falling victim to an area predator.
Either at they at least got some help in them
Very grim, John. I supposed you wouldn't say the same if you needed complex surgery from a doctor.
they did fall from the nest into that hole were no exit was. one was already dead so they were there for quite some time. the mother could also have them abandoned as they didnt come out. but i have feeling nontheless those poor dudes are dead. see no way how they could survive the next cat attack
they were 4 rabbits .he forgot to take out one more
WASIM HASHMI the last one died...
Reuben I don't think he read the text
Vileyath hussain it's deadddddd
What breed are they?
+Tuan Ngoc They are wild. I am not sure what breed :)
There are bunnies like that near my tree except they live near a tree.
there wild
wild bunnies
awww
I once had these kind of bunnies in my backyard once. It was cool watching them grow, and even saved them from drowning from the rainstorm. But of course they had to go, since they were growing, and left the hole. I was pretty sad but realized "Hey, it's nature."
You are a hero the world needs more people like you
did you now rabbits dont eat carrots at all?
only grass and other greens
Kiernan Games my rabbit eats carrots as treats
they like cookies they mad about it !!!)))
+SkittleS BUNNY its unhealthy ...
Kiernan Games yea they do
why couldn't u just take the rabbits in and took care of them until they got really healthy
u ppl dont understand!!!! if u find a wild bunny nest LEAVE IT ALONE LET NASTURE TAKE ITS PLACE GEEZ
Briella Aviles it wasn't a nest of one of them was dead and there was no mother. They fell down as he said in the video
gamer gal2300 he didn't do anything to the nest, and the mom wasn't there, so it was okay. he saved them when they fell in the hole, so he was actually helping them
Wolf no he should have let nature take its place
as long as you dont tamper with the nest when the mama bun can see you its all good, as for the babies they had fallen in a hole by their own accord and he simply helped them out, he didn't do anything to the nest except take photos.
yeah leave them alone just let a snake or coyote eat them its called the food chain. god made it that way. stop barging in.
They were so cute when they were hopping around!
Oh my goodness thank goodness you checked the hole. Poor baby that dies but three are saved thanks to you. I'm a huge bunny lover I have a house bunny. Bless you for being their hero. They are so very very cute.
seriously i love people like u i wish there were more people like you :)
You are a very kind man, you saved these rabbits' lives
i had a nest of baby bunnies right next to my house for a few days and i just loved going out there to see if they're ok and check up on them. i offered some lettuce etc but they either did not like it or were too scared to eat it bc it was handled by me. one night it was storming and to help protect them, we put a wooden board over them to shelter them. eventually they ran off but im still proud of my attempt at being responsible and taking care of something living lol
The rabbits in our backyard have no fear of us. Like I can go out there and stand there and be like “don’t eat my flowers” and rabbits like “fuck off”
Good job. Great man gave hand to these most needy, poor bunnies. Thank you Sir 💎💎🤗
This man deserves a medal
Thank you :)
Now, I have a 1 year old lionhead bunny whom I adopted and she's the sweetest.
even I had a bunny when I was small ... they were so cute but one day when I went to my aunt house I gave my rabbit to my neighbours and when I returned they informed me that my bunnies are no more they were death I cried so much .
... they told me that they will arrange other bunny for me but I refused because now I was able to understand the pain of loosing a pet .......rip to my lovely bunnies
just so you know, when baby rabbits are born the mother would only
nurse them for 2 or 3 times. after that the baby rabbits are set to live
on their own. the mother rabbit only visits the babies for 1 - 4 times
a week. so its pretty normal to find baby rabbits on their own.
just leave them there. if a baby rabbit is hurt, call your local wild
animal rescue to help them.
but it was nice helping!
CUTE LITTLE BUNNIES!!!!!!
There so cute but poor I would take lots of love and take care of
THE CUTE BUNNY RABITS
them rabbit's eyebrows are on fleek.
You should have kept em safe. Those bunnies are the perfect cat snack.
in my friends neighborhood, there was a family of baby bunnies. the kids would always mess around and scare the mother away so the baby bunnies were left alone. they were getting very thin and looked like they were hungry. the mother didn't return for days so we took the the baby bunnies (Tom, BunBun, Fluff, because I like naming things) to a animal shelter. they were less than a year old which was an unfortunate age to lose your mom. they were saved and we visit the bunnies every month. 😊
i read that carrots are actually bad for rabbits because they have too much sugar.
They were big enough to live entirely off food they find.
thanks for having a kind heart to these critters =)
I love kind people, you are amazing. RIP for the bunny that died :(
CARROTS MAKE THEM SICK!
(Btw I love you you tried to save them and lately I see rabbit haters/killers)
That is so sad! I feel so bad for those helpless bunnies thank god you saved then!!
those are cottontails. they don't typically eat carrots. they eat grass, clover, leaves, and tree bark.
I feel like your intentions weren't bad though so it's appreciated that you looked after them, I just hope that didn't made them extraviate from their mother or that it didn't scare her away from the babies.
great video. that last bunny didn't want to go but you got him or her. good job helping them out.
The music makes it sad but good because you help out the bunnys
Its sad seeing the ending, the responsible thing to do would be to raise them on your your own
I've had 2 wild rabbits in my life as pets, sadly neither made it above adolescence.
THIS IS SO ADORABLE .😅😂💙👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😻😻😻🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇✋💙💙
this youtuber is very kind to animals it semi like some people don't really care
You're a very considerate man
They are so adorable!
We should have more ppl like this in our society
Thank you. I appreciate you watching the video :)

Wow this is exactly what’s happening in my back yard right now!
Rabbit standing literally in his food, surrounded by it. Video maker asking: "you are for sure hungry?" and handing over a carrot
thats like saying to a kid which is eating whole-whead bread and a salate if it is hungry and handing over a burger xD
