Oh yes. Thank you so much! In the past, I belonged to a denomination that taught we HAD to submit to the leadership. The leadership believed we must NOT give up assembling together. The miracles STOPPED, and sometimes I wondered if Jesus even bothered to come to church on Sundays. But, if he wasn't there, where was he? Eventually I thought perhaps he was outside, on the street corner, waiting for someone to join him, so he could introduce himself to them - the Christian - so they could start evangelising together! I left the church, read the gospels as if Jesus was speaking to me personally. And discovered Jesus' promise that when 2 or 3 are gathered in his name he would be there too.... So, I decided to trust his promise and go out evangelising whenever I could. And I discovered Jesus WAS OUTSIDE, and he needed ME to introduce him to the unsaved. There is great benefit in evangelising. Not in handing out tracts, but in speaking out the truths of the gospel yourself. Jesus said, "If you confess me before others, I will confess you before my Father in heaven". Scriptures come alive, you receive deeper revelation of the word, and if you pray for the sick, they are healed. And your love for Jesus grows. He is alive!
