    Nothing that hasn't been said already, but I've gotta do it....... As much as I wanted to, this was tough to watch, man. That demonstrated shenanigans between the 10:30 - 12:30 minute(s) made me cringe. For what it's worth, heed the advice from your comments below.

    Cool video, nice fish! Not sure why you handle and measure your fish so much. You stressing the fish out, and anyone that fishes that watches these videos 😁. They are obviously nice fish. A couple ideas for you. You should get a measure net if that is important to you. Another quick way to get an idea of size is to measure the wood hoop of your basket of your net and compare that to the fish. That net looks like mine, it is a 15 inch opening long wise. Once you put back in the water just hold until it revives instead of in and out and moving to other parts of the river. Let the fish live another day so I can catch them 😁. I started euro nymphing this summer for first time, big fan!

    Cool brown! Please handle more carefully. Trout are very delicate.

    Nice day on the water. I seem to catch bigger fish on the lower but prefer the middle.

    Nice video you should try not to keep the fish out of the water as long they end up dead in a day or two just FYI. But nice fish

    They way this fish was handled is a perfect reason why sometimes the big ones don’t like to come up too much. Awful

    What is your rod setup here? I am looking to pick up a euro rig.

    • @hatchlife2736

      Craig Dunn crazy enough it’s actually just an old 5 weight I used to use when I first started. I just blood knotted a euro sighter and got to work learning. It’s much more sensitive on a euro rod and you can support lighter tippets but if you wanna start I highly recommend just throwing a sighter on a 5 wt. Tie 5-6ft 3x tippet on the end of that then surgeon knot 2 ft of 4x. The tippet is a little thick however it will get down with a heavy attractor and trust me euro is a game changer. As far as rods go I know guys on the US team who just use the cortland competition ($250) bout the cheapest quality rod you can get but if you can spare an extra 100 I recommend the syndicate ($325) 👍🏻

    Where exactly is this hole in the canyon?

    • @HalfInsaneOutdoorGuy
      @HalfInsaneOutdoorGuy 2 роки тому

      It’s not in the canyon. This is the middle Provo. He does the into in the lower, but his first catch was in the middle somewhere above deer creek.

    Good browns but y were u always worried about getting them to the reel I always say if they go to the reel then use it but if they’re not strong enough too just strip it
