Thank you so much for posting this video. We were booked into the cabin next door until you showed we would be overlooked. Luckily we were able to change to a new cabin further along. So thanks again. Love your videos by the way.
We’ve booked one of these larger balcony rooms just today! Can’t wait, our first ever cruise. Barcelona to Trieste, Med/Adriatic. 7113, so higher up and further aft.
Super video !!! I am a balcony person and like you, I spend a lot of time scoping out the deck plan and many times getting a bigger balcony than others in the same category - same as you do ! Question for you if I may: how did you find your fellow passengers to be in terms of friendliness and approachability ? Hopefully as fun and friendly as the two of you 🙂! Happy travels and cheers to cruising ! m.
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel Many thanks for your reply !!! That makes me feel very happy pursuing an Alaskan QE cruise. And yes, getting The Perfect cabin is very important because I also go as far as to pull up exterior side images of the ship to ensure there's no ship equipment nearby to inhibit the view - like window washing equipment parked below or to the side 🙂 Cheers !!!
Wow - how amazing that they don’t charge extra for that outside space! On my Silhouette cruise last year, my friend and I booked 2 cabins on the sloped section facing down the ship - think we paid about £20 extra per room to get the huge balconies, and we found them so beneficial!
We have always enjoyed corner cabins and, like you, ALWAYS check the deck plans before reserving our cabin. Just remember tho - other guests can see onto your cabin - so wear a bath robe! 😂😂
You didn't show the two huge drawers underneath the foot of the bed. Not sure whether you weren't aware of them but it's good for people to know about that extra storage. X
I was on Queen Victoria in October, travelling from Southampton to Tromso in the Arctic Circle. It was OK, the balcony door rattled in the wind, they lost my pyjamas, there where other little niggles. I have booked to do the Transatlantic Crossing for next year(3rd time!!!). I do prefer QM2 rather than Victoria.
Cunard unlike all the other cruise lines has no problem with you bringing alcohol on board for your own consumption. You can bring 2 cases of wine if you like and liquor and champagne. I did last year. 🐠🐠🏴☠
Enjoyed the video, great info on the balcony, one to note for the future. Couldn't agree more about highlighting any problems or observations, let people know and then they CAN do something about it. If they don't then moan 🤷, it's far better enjoying yourself 😃.

Do you guys know if all cruises are still requiring proof of vaccinations?
Some not all....just check with individual cruise lines 😃
