    TL:DR
-War system is not the big problem
-The game is not fleshed out in many important areas
-Many broken aspects of how the game plays
    -AI DUMB
    +Does have potential
+MP is fun (When it works)
    +GDP GREEN LINE INCREASE
+Map painting is easier than ever before
Overall I'd wait for a few patches to fix the AI before buying but I do think the game is not beyond saving, right now it's a 6/10 from my non review.

@@miguelpadeiro762 Yes but why do people keep buying? Why do they keep putting up with this? I don't get it, they have always done it like this and it's always been their standard even for DIRECT SEQUELS they won't already build the framework for additions added in previous DLCs even if they add some much needed dimension to the game. It reminds me a lot of how the Sims was handled where each subsequent game had the same "base" and you need to buy other features in the form of DLC. It's insanity. People with that series are okay with "seasons" being paid content with every new installment and people who buy Paradox games are content to have half-finished broken messes that'll be fixed or smoothed over with paid content every new installment.

I like the war system to be honest, it doesn't need much to be good, front lines should be better (hoi 4 Frontline system with all it's features can basically be copied (aka ,out make a Frontline give generals to it, give generals if You want a specific area to manage draw line say you move you defend, maybe even just a bit more like aggressive or do war crimes if necessary.
economy should be more eautomated, like at least trade routes, I like the building aspect more than I thought but even there it's a bit tidious and could be done better what we have now should be what an command economy should look like, everything else should have at least some AI, make it establish trade routes by itself due to amrkez forces, Manuel trade routes are replaced by mor ebilateral treaties like trade agreements (divide them into single good, general and free trade, general would be about a few goods), then only make the player manage all different trade goods and let us set taxes in more minor steps (like a general consumption tax on all goods, then one for specific ones that has different levels, then add the normal 5 levels of tariffs and make it so that you have one general tariff and the rest are manually set. like the tariff system as it is now lacks options but is fine otherwise.

I have to say I am really glad that ISP turned down the sponsorship deal. As much as I love watching people like Bo when I saw half my recommended filled with sponsored videos of Victoria 3 (not just Bo but other Paradox UA-camrs too) I had a distinct feeling something might be weird. I'm glad I could see an unfiltered version of the game that showed off that many mechanics are lacking.
I never minded the war mechanics as long as they made the diplo plays and economics an interesting mechanic, but the video makes it look like your pretty much just pressing a couple buttons to build/upgrade factories or increase the power of RGOs (I assume that what the rural stuff is). With the mechanics explained it looks like they're about as in depth as a puddle, and instead are just "wide" and require a whole bunch of unnecessary micro that was handled automatically in the last game. I almost bought this game since I was a bit hyped for Victoria 2 but modernized, but now I'll hold off and be happy with modded Vicky 2.

They seemed to be placating to a tiny minority of mouth breathers on Reddit too who most likely haven’t even played any of their previous games… what we have ended up with is a grand strategy game with no strategy set in a tumultuous period with wars everywhere and no proper war mechanic. It’s an idle clicking mobile game with fancy graphics. “Build and watch little number go green!! Woohoo!”
Even CKIII which is the best of the recent releases (downgrade and massively dumbed down compared to 2 though) is still pretty much an empty shell with little content. It’s already been out just over 2 years…

I really don't understand the philosophy behind the new war system I think the Vicky 2 system worked well enough to where you could have the best of both worlds but here they decided to focus on one side of the game but it's just menu button gameplay which I just don't think is very engaging Cheers who ever does enjoy it though
P.S it feels like a phone game with a very pretty background

Vicky 2 combat was perfect, for me its the standard that every game needs to follow to be good, building 4-1-5 & crushing everyone as anyone, feels good & fun

Dude the worst part about Victoria 2 was the war system. Having to micro every single fucking unit was absolutely infuriating and incredibly time consuming. That's the main thing Victoria 3 was trying to avoid, where they instead shifted the micro focus more to the economics and political side of things. It's why when it comes to the trade menu there's no "AI" helper that automatically manages trade routes for you, because they want you to do that yourself.
