- I've seen the opinion that Zombies DLC should go back to being a paid DLC model. Sounds dumb? Sure, here's why.

Only if they’re as good as or better than the older maps
We need old zombies gameplay without the warzone reskins, like without the slide cancel, armor plates, spawn with weapons, kill streaks and zombies dropping grenades
I couldn’t agree more!
bloons tower defense 6 has consistent free updates that are big it cost 13.99 on steam
Although PC already enjoys this, I do like a lot of the community building aspect at games like far cry, five or fallout four have. Although far cry five has a mode where you could essentially use assets from other Ubisoft games and create your own stuff. It was really fun to play free Mabs essentially as micro DLC.
My personal opinion is the only DLC we should pay for are big packs like Chronicles. I feel like the 3-5 game specific maps should come with it considering you’ve already paid $50-60 for the game.
Idk, theyre 60 dollar games haven't even been finished
It’s like dropping $10 at Taco Bell and all you get is a sauce packet.
At least they gave u a sauce packet lol, all they would really give is the packet
Actually, nvm ur still correct lol
(Cus all they gave was the packet

If activision thought that it'd be profitable to release 'quality' maps at a premium charge, they wouldn't have stopped doing it. Clearly whatever monetization they're banking on now is already paying dividends.
Also I like your channel, and appreciate your personality♥
If it caused the current monetisation practices to change/revert, like the way BO2 was monetised, I'd be fine with paying for maps.
But the more likely thing given how CoD has been monestised since 2018 onward, is that we'd be buying maps packs and still be plagued with macrotransactions. Also back when 4 map packs, with 3-4 multiplayer maps and 1 zombie map (except Rezurrection in BO1) was the standard, I was only buying the packs for zombies. If I could've saved money only buying the zombie maps I would have. It is interesting to look back on, and does make me weary of the future, though I'm still trying to be optimistic about BO6 (We'll have to wait and see about that though)
I’m hoping they’ll give us a banger! I can stomach operators if we get a great round based map.
Honestly if devs need more money for better zombies maps then they should make more zombies bundles lol , seriously we only have like 2 zombies bundles in mw3 and 4 in vanguard 😂
Gotta say the thumbnail is a little biased having Origins on the paid side and Vanguard on the free side. Paid DLC also gave us some not so stellar maps like Alpha Omega, and Cold War's round based maps weren't too bad for being free DLC
I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I’d put Alpha Omega above the Cold War maps. That being said, you’re right, we have had paid busts, which is part of why I think we shouldn’t go back to paid DLC.
benefiting activision (paying for DLC) would hopefully transfer into 4 player cast charcters and original round based zombie maps. (not just reused campaign/multiplayer maps)
The ball’s in their court! I’d love to be proven wrong and see a high quality round based map again.
New releases are 70 bucks. Hell no. The maps are better not because they cost extra, but because the devs gave half a shit when making them
Exactly! The money’s in bundles and Warzone, sad as it is to say.
Yoooo zombiesdadjokes is back with another banger! And I just finished school today. What a W But for the topic of the video, it should be free if the game is bad. If good, it should be paid, however at an inexpensive price tbh.
The dad is back with the opinions, this time not hating on a popular map. 😎

My only issue with these paid DLCs is paying for them when they're over a decade old and Activision still hasn't lowered any of the prices.
I love Black Ops to death but paying over $100 for a decade old game is crazy. I feel like paid DLC would work better if it worked like this.
If the host owns it, then friends of the host can play, even if they don't have it. And after 5 years, lower the prices. Maybe give those who paid more at launch some sort of compensation in COD Points.
Honestly I’ve just been sitting here waiting for so long praying for bo3 custom zombies on console or even a call of the dead remastered one day😭 I know it won’t come but man I would pay infinite money
Paying for the product does not guaranteed the quality of said product. People may wine about how they felt about Cold War, they'd have to be fresh out of an asylum to make a case about how the final two Aether maps in BO4 are even on the same quality as any one Cold War map. A big cope I always see is "yeah but they have *personality*" as if said "personality" is anywhere near as close as what came before it, let alone was remotely fun to play with their rushed outsourced development.
I think if they finished it more like they did in the pass, sure I'd be down and if they stop the micro transactions
We get better content when the maps cost money. Although to be honest, I don’t think it’s because of the cost but because live service models just tend to suck.
The thing is that games have developed and become so modernized over time, that the classiness of black ops 2 and 1 can't be obtained if I'm sliding everywhere not worrying about building barriers. I need clanky zombies mechanics where if I dolphin dive there's a 50% chance of me dying
They’ll have a reason to make good maps when they’re paid. Cold War zombies just reused campaign areas and threw a in buyable doors.
If Warzone stops printing money maybe they’ll rethink things.
Perhaps dad I’m not sure
I noticed when they switched to a free model for multiplayer maps and zombie maps, not only did the quality of the maps we did get decrease exponentially, but we also were bombarded with a plethora of agregious microtransactions worse than we've ever seen. The "store" is seemingly the most paid-attention-to thing by advertisers now, and nearly every bundle is worth $10-25 instead of $2-5 like back in the day. This also seemingly fueled the transition of S-tier cosmetics from earnable tactics in-game to paywalls. In my opinion? After seeing what I've seen, they should absolutely go back to a paid model for extra game content. Not many people can see it, but when everything is made free, it means the devs have to find some way to make money elsewhere, and this is partly why things have gotten as bad as it's gotten. We should have never begged for free content.
DLC’s are goated we need DLC so the developers have more of a motivation
A game should be finished if it costs 60 bucks wouldn't you say?
Those were the days.
It's such a weird opinion. If we had paid for the dlcs in cold war and beyond we would have got the exact same maps
Exactly! Cold War would’ve had a far different reputation if we paid for those maps IMO.
100% they should go back to it.
The developers have no responsibility when it’s all free there’s no genuine gripe for backlash
When it’s paid for they’re then forced to deliver good content
Even the bad maps in historical paid DLC are still better than anything Vanguard came out with
If bundles and Warzone weren’t a thing I’d agree, but there’s no incentive to go the extra mile to make awesome maps. People pay more these days to get a character and a gun than they used to pay for a Zombies map and several multiplayer maps.
Happily paid money for the maps back in the day, it guaranteed a level of quality. Unfortunately call of duty is lacking quality as a whole atm so it doesn't make a difference
Why people want to pay more is beyond me, just demand better.
Precisely.
You really sound like Mr beast 🤨
I get that a lot haha. “Last one to quit Die Rise wins $1 million” incoming? 🤔
Welll, hmmmm looking at all maps released under paid dlc and comparing those to free, welll iddkkkk. If the options are godly infinitely replayable masterpiece to, a pile of glittery shit... ill take the paid dlc
True, but that paid DLC came out before Activision could get money for people buying Nicki Minaj and Gundams.
