- Like I said in the video jan/Feb is the worst 2 months of the year especially along the Southcoast not a lot to target so you go through the motions turning up and hopefully getting a fish to save the blank......
Well like I've said before Town Quay is very easy fishing and even better its out the back of your car......
This session started well and then the dreaded car ferry cuts in close...twice....
Well after setting up twice again the fishing was steady......towards the end one nice Whiting 1lb 14oz made it worth the effort.....

I've caught a couple of Red Funnels but to land them you do need to beef up to a 14/0 and a wire snood. I generally use 900 lbs line with a 2,500lb leader and an Abu scaffold master clamped to a scaffold pole.
When you get the bite ,which is usually a gentle pull, just lean into it and wrap the line round a bollard - they don't like that.

They do it on purpose as there's absolutely no need to come in that close probably 20yrds generally there always further out apparently there is one skipper that is an arse hole 😞

Yeah wasn't easy and the redfunnel catching me twice put a bit of a downer on things......Still that nice whiting made up for it 😀

You certainly can but you must pay the parking fees they are shite hot on it.....and its done through cameras I.e your number plate to be honest it's reasonable parking fees......

Does it produce all year round. Not expecting nothing special just like a mixed bag and somewhere different. Cos Clacton gets a bit boring from time to time. 👍🏻. If you know what I mean
I would say yes pretty much all year round may slow a bit in Feb then come March expect thornbacks bass pout lots of dogs can show...
There's been a few nice congers into double figures landed may/ June expect some nice hounds
July/August quite a few sole into September.... October/november chance of a codling tons of Whiting Pout and bass pretty much all year round drop net might come in handy for bigger fish........
