Olaplex saved my hair, I had so much breakage from illness & strong medications. I have shoulder length hair so I don't need much product. It's $49.95 for a 250ml bottle here in Australia & so hard to get #3. I'm still on strong meds but Olaplex 4, 5, 6 & 7 has been life changing for me.

Why do you say that it is hard to find #3? No issues with stock of this product at all. It could be if no official seller and you don’t want to pay RRP and want to get the product with discount. In this case, agree..chemist warehouse doesn’t have it quite often.

  • @oldandstillhere

The olaplex shampoo is highly concentrated. When I bought mine, I was told to store it upside down (because of its thick consistency), and then put a small amount in my palm and rub it between my hands before applying on my hair. This saves a lot of product. I don’t find that the conditioner, though, is the same. It’s thick too, but I don’t think I use less because of that. I love hearing your experiences with this stuff. It’s expensive to keep bleached hair from lookin like it hurts! 😘😘😘

@LIZ STEFANNY CUMBE MENDEZ My suggestion doesn’t have bond repair properties, but if you want a similar feel/consistency, the Neutrogena TSal shampoo has an almost identical one. It’s that same super concentrated, sulfate free, amazing lather, and doesn’t dry out your hair. It’s marketed as a dandruff shampoo, but only bc it’s 3% salicylic avid. And its $5! Gets rid of buildup too!Obviously none of the patented Olaplex benefits tho.

I swear by this shampoo ! I have blonde hair (unnaturally) lol and this has made my hair feel moisturized and minimal damage. I use such a small amount because it’s so concentrated
I don’t use the conditioner but I do use a mask. Kerestase or Kristen ess one. I only wash my heat twice a week and use a shower cap. So for the shampoo and leave in conditioner I fully highly recommend

Try using less shampoo. This is highly concentrated even on my mid back length hair super thick and curly I only need a quarter sized amount. And then I add a little more water to my head and work it in. Those bottles should last you 4 to 6 months.

Numbers 1 & 2 are not sold to the public as they are used for professional use only. And as far as price, Olaplex shampoo and conditioner (No. 4 & 5) are highly concentrated so you should only use a dime size or nickel depending on the length and density of your hair. If you break it down per day, you actually spend the same, if not less, then store bought shampoo while protecting the bonds and integrity of your hair. Each bottle should have between 125 to 150 uses, again depending on the length and density of the hair. All Olaplex products are amazing!!!

My new discovery in preventing damage! I wanted to share w you because it’s HUGE. Basically Sweet Almond Oil. I use it twice a week leaving it on the Hair overnight. So you wash the oil off in the morning. The hair will be CRAZY SOFT, no breakage. I also use Kenra anti breakage conditioner (it’s as thick as a mask). And yes I use Olaplex too. I bought a big hairdresser kit(the biggest one they have). The Almond oil is a true miracle, I now don’t need any leave ins for softness

I started using Bond Maintenance 4 and 5 in june this year. I use the shampoo everyday but only use the conditioner every other day on the hair shafts avoiding the scalp. It was great when i first started, but over time i developed itchy irritable scalp and noticed more hair falling out when i shower. Initially, I thought the hairloss was only due to stress but by Nov i started to have doubts and pondered the possibility that these products were the culprits. i stopped using them immediately and switched to another brand, the itch disappeared and my scalp calmed down within a few days and there were significantly less hair falling out.
I have normal scalp, not oily or dry. i think the ingredients in these products builds up on the scalp over time.
I'm not saying Olaplex is lousy. This is just my personal experience, something that worked for someone else may not work for me.

Olaplex No.4 shampoo caused my hair to fall out and my scalp to itch to the point of scabs. On Amazon reviews of it you'll see others who had the same experience. I shampoo my hair about once a week and used only a small amount of the shampoo. I was happy that it was making my hair stronger and stronger.
Over 4 months, my hair began coming out in clumps and my scalp began itching and got worse and worse. I didn't know what was causing it--age? nerves? interaction with medication? I keep hair records of bleaching, coloring, cutting, etc. Finally, I realized that the only thing that had changed was that using No. 4 coincided with the hair loss and scalp itching. Once I stopped using the damn stuff the massive hair loss stopped and my scalp is back to normal.

Hi Heidi! I loved hearing your experience with olaplex. I find that the price point for olaplex 4 and 5 are on point for a daily shampoo. The suggest price in USD is $28. The suggest amount to use is 1/4 tsp. In the 8.5 oz. bottle, one should be able to get over 200 uses. The key to getting the most luxurious lather is to emulsify the product in your hands first then pat evenly to distribute through very wet hair. I would actually suggest using your 4 and 5 and a daily shampoo to preserve your color, then use your richer products following your number 3 treatment since you will have prepped the strands to receive the goodies. Great hearing your feedback. Your hair is lovely.

My mom got from our salon Truss volume leave in and she swears by it, much superior than what she’s tried ( redken, it’s a miracle 10, morrocanoil and so fourth), I will be trying it and skipping olaplex 6.

Iv watched all your videos about olaplex and they have been so helpful! Iv been using olaplex no 3 for about a month and just ordered no 4 and 5 because like you mentioned i felt like the shampoos i was using may not be the best to use with the olaplex no 3, and since its expensive i want to get the most out of it. My hair has been bleached several times so im looking to prevent breakage mostly, did you notice a big difference when it comes to breakage with the no. 4 and 5 vs just the no 3?

Hola! Enjoy your lovely videos. I have fine, coarse and extremely dry hair. I don’t bleach or colour treat it at all. I’ve used Olaplex 3 and it’s the best thing I’ve put on my hair restoring its strength. I’ve bought Olaplex 2 and 4 and 5 to use on treatment days but would love a recommendation for an inexpensive shampoo and conditioner to use between treatments. Main problem is hydration, my hair is so incredibly dry and I’ve not found anything that locks in moisture and adds thickness and smoothing. What do you recommend? Thanks again. Keep filming.

I only wash my hair once a week as I have very dry hair, plus super bleached and fantasy colour(pink) done once a month, my hair is way shorter than yours which means Olaplex 4 and 5 will last me a lot... should I buy them still? I’m in love with your pink hair 😍 I feel if you can’t get No1 & No 2 at home (I have a recent video on this) then the next must have is No3. (Although if your hair is doing well and has moderate damage No 3 could be enough and you can replace 1 & 2 with it). I find the conditioner No5 is a nice to have but not hydrating enough. And I like the shampoo because I feel it doesn’t interact in a weird way with the Olaplex. Does that make sense? Hope I could help.

Thanks a lot, the only reason I bought number 1 and 2 its because my bestfriend is a hairdresser so he could get it for me very cheap... and as I want to do the treatment once a month he told me to get the pack better. I might get the shampoo(4) only and skip the conditioner to another one, any nice conditioner you recommend me? I might get the 6 and 7 also as I love how u mix them before the blowdry! Heidi, ¿te lavas el cabello con olaplex 4 y 5 diario? Gracias por tus videos, me convenciste de comprar todos los pasos

Actualmente no. Solo cuando me hago todo el tratamiento. Contame después cómo te va!

I have hair all the way down to my butt AND I usually buy shapoos so small. I liturally have it for a little less than a year i guess...
the reason you use it so fast i probaby that you use it in all the hair. but its a bad idea. Just put it in your scalp and wash 2 times. and then get used to only wash it maybe every 5. day :D never every day ;)

Well I know for certain I do not have hair as long as yours My hair a short crew cut so all I need is about less than a quarter size in my palm 😅 with the cost of all salon products going up and up I surely don't miss my long hair and my BF ain't about to argue with me why I shortened my hair because he isn't paying my costs
