I like these EV Challenge type videos. They magnify the real world issues involved with owning an EV. Thanks for making these (I also like the truck videos).
Great video, I think you picked a good day your really demonstrating how these cars would behave in our climate 👍 it’s all fine and well in nice conditions but that’s not often on our beautiful island . Til next week all hail stavros 💪🏽
Great video Stravros, Really enjoyed the video and was very nice to meet you at the cars and coffee run in Portlaoise Plaza on the 18th of July. Spoke to you about doing a road trip in September and I would like to thank you for all the tips and advice. Watching that video just goes to show me how difficult a road trip can become. Problems with chargers happening quite often and you really do have to take your foot off the pedal from time to time to get where you want to go.
I bet an EV is totally brilliant if you only charge it at home at night and it has the range to get to work, do a bit of shopping and back home again, but as soon as you need to go some distance and deal with the public charging network it all seems to fall apart.
I drive all over the country in my Renault Zoe 135GT no problems with range or charging, my CCS charging is at 50kW/h all my journeys are long ones into remote areas. Mind you the Zoe has better range than most of the cars in its class.
If you run around the doors and dont do a lot of miles these are great but in all honesty they would not the enjoyment out of driving at various speeds and replace it with range anxiety and frustration of having to sit and wait so long if no free chargers available to say nothing of the overall cost of buying an electric vehicle and add that charge for charging, like for like petrol and diesel cars are a mile ahead of electric ones sadly but given time I am sure they will soon be on a par which will be better for everyone.
Hi, I have the same car here in Portugal, I like very much the car. About the charging times. The car don't charge with a linear speed, start very fast about 99kWh, but start goes down, when the battery start to go charged. In first I think like you, maybe is the charger slower the we say, but the problem is on the power scale of the battery. You can see the graphic installing the wenea app (app the show charging point on Spain, and UK and when you put your car there the app show you the graphic charge of the car, the you realize that you can go from 0 to 100 all at the same speed
So we have had a petrol automatic Mokka for 12 months. So the lane control is a pain. Getting in the back is another issue. So kids will be ok but if your an adult you will have issues getting in and out. We have the keyless entry. We have given up on this as it is so temperamental. Then one big issue is when we go to open the car with the key fob. We find the car will not open. The key fob stops working. So we have a trick now to get round this. We have to open and close the boot. Which I am guessing because we have keyless entry it allows us to do this. Then the key fob comes back to life. We can now open the car with the key fob. The car has been back 7 times to the dealer. Still not fixed.
Ahh Jaysus ya should never head to Dublin....Nightmare....last time I went to donnybrook on a Friday it cost, 20 quid in toll's and 3 hours to get onto the Galway road....now I take the train...
Great video Stavros, I love the roadtrip videos. I really like the Mokka, even in discreet green. I hope there will be more videos featuring the Honda E.
Stravos that would wreck your head driving for so long in them electric cars on any journey and wasting all that time trying to get a charge point that’s works not for me

You wonder when they'll add roofs over the chargers like they have for petrol stations.

Think I will stick to my diesel power until they get the electric system more efficient 😁😁👍

I’ve been driving BEV’s since 2015. Never had an issue with chargers, range anxiety or anything
Brilliant video Stravos cheers 🍻 👍
another perfect video from stavros as always

Chargers not working properly.
Oil Companies be like: *in Palpatine voice* Good. GOOD!
Cheers Stavros Good stuff mate...

Cold weather we are having...
Great stuff Stavros! I think you should redo the challenge with a Mokka up against your Scania. 😄👍

Castrol oil laughs in the background...🤣
only in Ireland could one side of the motorway go south and the other side of the same motorway go east
Mokka e super.
Can you review a Scania longline?
Electric car experience is very enjoyable but charging network gives pain. Battery swap option should be present
Although I'm a keen fan of clean air travel, your videos do absolutely nothing to convert me to full electric
Big fans bro
Vauxhalls
I'll still stick to my toyota corolla
Great video Stavros, I love the roadtrip videos. I really like the Mokka, even in discreet green. I hope there will be more videos featuring the Honda E.
Charging hassle as usual, plus no weather protection at the charge points. Not a great system at present to say the least.
can you do a 1 000 miles in a day in a Tesla Model X
I bet Deric jacked the car up and ran it to beet you stavros
You can't jack up a electric and run it or tow it or tow something with it..great cars they are.😃
What a pain the arse that is. Driving at 85 kmh for 80 kilometres to make sure you can get there. Stupid cars
You shouldn’t drive in eco on A Road/motorway speeds. 🤦🏻♀️
Stravos that would wreck your head driving for so long in them electric cars on any journey and wasting all that time trying to get a charge point that’s works not for me
Great video
