With regards to the washer bottle, the hole is meant to be there. The water is pumped from the tank under the spare wheel for cars with headlight cleaning into that tank. Without a hole it wouldn’t be possible due to air needing to escape as the water fills the tank from the rear of the car. Great engineering from bmw as the car was built as a grand tourer so cleaning headlights on long journeys was not a problem. As an owner of this model I can assure you it puts a smile on your face whenever you drive it !!
It looks like it has a non-m airbag wheel where the American ones have one similar to what’s on a 95 m3. Interesting how BMW decides to put different parts on different cars. The mirrors are the big thing for me.

Based on the reply you gave me in the recent BMW e24 M6 video , if I follow what you answered about not replacing the missing distributor plactic cover and missing stickers in the engine bay of that M6 because, as you stated, '' cars are original only once...'', why replace the damaged windshield washer reservoir( not a missing cap in fact..., as you said in this video) ? I really do not follow your logic...
Lovely CSi, too bad that the under hood washer fluid reservoir is butchered. They shall be “closed” on a Euro spec since the washer fluid is to be filled in the trunk sill. I hope you can source a new reservoir since putting a washer reservoir cap on it is totally incorrect.
Thanks for your feedback! In looking after other euro CSi's for years, all these reservoirs have caps fitted. All the same, if that's the worst of it, we're doing AOK! ;-)
Enthusiast Auto Group Great looking example. About the reservoir this was a major “problem” already when the E31 was new and many reservoirs was actually “destroyed” by the BMW dealerships. As good as yours looks I’d keep it like that without fitting a cap if a new one can’t be sourced. IMO that’s a better option than having a cap fitted to it. I’ve been looking for an intact reservoir for years to have it replicated since BMW nowadays only provides the reservoir with a cap (only used here in Europe on cars without headlight washing system). I have never seen an as good “butchered” reservoir as your. An absolutely correct reservoir still has a small hole for ventilation, almost all reservoirs is opened up fully and fitted with a cap. Congrats to the car and I’m looking forward to seeing the new videos.

Yes, you can feel it 100% - the all wheel steering assists with distributing the weight through the corners...
