I used your Cal relic mono program when it first came out. Machine’s evolve and what worked a year ago may not be what works as well today. I appreciate anyone that takes time to share their experience. Thanks CD
Totaly agree I’m new to this hobby and my Deus 2 on the beach down here in SW Florida using beach mode and dive mode has found coins that have obviously been overlooked by all the other hunters. The Deus 2 is so impressive that I’m becoming addicted to the hobby/sport . Not to mention I’m not bored at the beach anymore. I fly RC planes, ride bikes/ bicycles. Sail my Hobie Tandem and Island hop with my 23’ Hurricane I work on hi tech commercial restaurant equipment and love mechanical/electrical fusion. So when it comes to pure “simple fun” …..Metal Detecting is the new it ! I watch your videos I can really Appreciate your passion and I must say You taught me a lot. Thank You CD. I would love to see a similar test like this buried in the ground at 4". All my stuff is 2"-4" plus deep. This test is a great starting point for sure and prob will represent a lot of situations for some people.
I would like to see you do the same test again but change the frequency on the single frequency machine to 5.5 kh and leave everything else the same. I don’t have a multi frequency to check it myself but I am curious if the reason it is picking up the silver is because the multi frequency machine is using a low frequency along with the high frequency. It will be interesting to see if the lower frequency on the single frequency machine hits on the silver.

Good stuff.. im ready to see some relic hunting video's of that 3k acres you where talking about a couple of weeks.. shoot im ready for deer hunting season to end so i can go
Nice demo, you said it was set up off of fast, were those stock settings and what version? Ive tried mono just a few times and i didnt really care for it but thats probably just bc of lack of experience with mono. Multi freq seems the way to go for sure with the D2. Thanks for the food for thought.
Great info Cal. How does Sensitive Full tones do on relics? My biggest question is on audio, I have used pitch a lot even on D1. Would the square or high square give you better tonal nuances being that pitch is only signal strength based or am I off on this theory? Would love to know. I have used pitch a while and kinda reluctant to change and try others. Some of my sites are fields and only have a small window to hunt, with that being said I don’t want to waste time or using something just to find out later it was not the best route. Thanks again for all the time and info you share with us.
I would think the best way to run that test would be to change the frequency from multi to single in the Fast Program only.....comparing multi vs single in 2 different programs not the best way because of filter differences and other things that I'm sure you're already aware of😊
@calabashdiggerscubadivinga8523 I noticed on the Nox that single (4khz) had an ever so slight advantage in the audio response of a masked coin...is it because 4khz was "smacking" it harder or was it separating better, IDK but I agree not worth losing multi frequency advantages...(plus I rarely use my NOX anymore anyway)
Fast typically is superior to the other programs in dirt on relic sites or dirt in general if the ground is polluted/co mingled targets. It's deep too so no worries,if you hunt sites like this other programs are less then! Cal is right for sure
@@calabashdiggeradventures yes I understand using fast in iron polluted sites and I know you’re a relic hunter but you seem to be trying to reach a wider audience and exploring some of the Deus 2 programs might help accomplish that. Not being critical just encouraging.

That multi has an advantage for sure on the small and cut coins for sure. Especially the hammered ones. Thanks for sharing this info, buddy 👍
Thanks!
I brought an apple for the teacher but I was hungry and had it for breakfast. Good “Lesson” Calabash.
Thanks!

Would like to see the same test but with the mono frequency changed to various lower frequencies. Thanks for the video.
40 KH is the best unmasking freq in Mono..
Great info !! What Audio are you using in the video?? a stock setting for fast or is it adjusted to give a higher tone??
Pitch in both..PWM
Great demonstration
Thanks!
Nice. What I seek and find.

You not change fast to a single freq......
@calabashdiggerscubadivinga8523 Yes indeed...I'm not awake yet....mixed up the options on the D2 vs Nox....maybe try that test with the Nox
Will be a bigger gap in performance with the Nox...been there done that..Multi winning..

Most of your tests involve Deus fast. It would be nice if you explored some of the other programs capabilities.
Why do you think I use Deus II fast ? For relics?

Good job calabash
Multi is best for unmasking.
Looks like it..on the odd shape coins for sure..
Even before you showed this test. I knew which mode was going to br better. Multi frequency has the edge over single frequency. Period.
Not according to some..
Thanks Calabash!
