I agree too; I hate that all we’ve gotten are doom slayers that are barely poseable and 1 demon from the franchise which has been the only good think from the line. I wish McFarlane would’ve played to their strengths and made imps and barons and other demons. My reasoning for this is the WH40k genestealer; that thing has so much poseabliity that McFarlane can do it! They just choose not too

‘Authenticated Limited Edition’ is a pleonasm that I wish McFarlane would not use, especially with these Gold Label Collector’s Editions, because it suggests that the rather cheap-looking figure housed inside is something other than quality. It may be a cheaper make of the figure, but its also affordable and nostalgic. And as a kid, i remember toys of even cheaper quality. I dont collect a lot of figures or McFarlanes. But im a miniature painter myself, and would even consider adding my own touches. Dirt, Blood, Damage, extra shading, etc
I wish they had done the Helmet too and the Shin and Knee Guards on the lower legs in Glow. then we would of had figure worthy of true glow in the dark status. As it is it seems half finished.
For all the jokes we can make about Capcom with the Super Hyper Turbo Arcade Championship Gold Edition, it’s the complete opposite with MFT is using that label. Considering it’s been four years and they’ve not anything outside of the “Classic” for the modern Doomguy besides the actual Doom Slayer with the different skins and the Marauder, it’s nothing but missed potential. They can do big figs but they’ve no Baron or Tyrant (Cyberdemon). And if MFT were accurate, the stand and the box would mention Doom Eternal instead of labeling just “Doom”.
Since McFarlane has been doing monster figures from spawn, warhammer, Witcher and Diablo. Why not make mega sized figures of doom? I don’t know about the rest of you but I would like to have a cyberdemon in my shelf lol😂
The fact that Mcfarlane used to be famous for demon/monsters figurine and Doom franchise has some of the best designs in the genre and he hasn't even scratched the surface of it

Man, I miss the possibility of the Older McFarlane figures like the Halo 3 earlier series I stopped purchasing figures for a long time due to money and leaned more towards other hobbies This is my first McFarlane figure in years and suddenly each figure poses like they're infested with arthritis

I preferred his first version of the Doom Slayer from a couple years ago. Articulation aside the sculpt and paint was leagues better then this current mold.
I wanted to get some glow in the dark figures, first Valaverse Swarm Troopers which are great figures of their own and I planned to get classic Doom Slayer, very tempting.
I bought this one only because I missed the original release and it's quite cheaper compared to the after market prices for the original release. The glow in the dark is pretty underwhelming. If I have the original release I wouldn't bother with this one.

Thanks for your efforts on this one Anthony. Have you tried Aloe for the rash? I have sensitivities to paint as well and I have to paint with gloves on. Actually I look more like a Ghostbuster. Support for the kind of work McFarlane put towards this action figure is waning amongst collectors. Some of us are simply tired of paying adult prices for a bath toy.
Most glow in the dark toys suck. When Hasbro reissued the Plasma Series Ghostbusters with glow in the dark paintjobs I jumped on them... but the paint looks cheap and nasty and you have to charge it for 30 seconds under a really intense light to get it to glow at all. My dream of having Ghostbusters figures who would stand on the shelf and glow whenever I turned off the lights didn't survive contact with reality. I have to take them off the shelf, charge them up with a torch, put them back on the shelf, by the time I've done the last one the first one has almost stopped glowing so getting all 4 of them looking good is a nightmare. I just generally feel really disappointed by these modern glow-in-the-dark figures and that's compounded by a sense that when I was a kid glow-in-the-dark things worked much better. Though whether that's true or it was just me being an easily impressed kid rather than a cynical adult I'm not sure.

Funny how this super duper ultra mega giga exclusive rare and numbered figure, is way more accessible than the original one. Not that I'm complaining but McFarlane out here giving "rare" and "limited" the same treatment Zoomers gave to "literally" and "racist". Reduced them to nothing.

Wouldn't it be smarter do just reissue the same figure but with a glow in the dark wash of some sort? Maybe a clear glaze that glows?
