I had not seen in a single Altroz on road other than a test drive one. That was like a month ago. Now my area alone has 4 different Altroz that I know of. See one occasionally too. Somehow it looks like Tata delayed the deliveries or something.
My pick would be the Altroz too. The new age Tata cars are as different as chalk and cheese compared to older gen cars. They have come a looooong way in terms of quality, finish, styling and mostly reliability. I would have loved to see the Nexon engines in terms of specs, both petrol and diesel on the Altroz, atleast as an option, which would have made it even more delightful in the face of the TSi and 1.0L turbo from Hyundai. Both I feel its a commendable product and if I was in the market for a hatch, it would clearly be the Altroz diesel.
Well yes off course the premium hatchbacks are so much relevant and will be relevant because the compact SUVs are you talking about are SUVs?? Hmmm lemme think .... besides offcourse they carry a a bigger price tag compared to these hatches...
Bought me self a Polo this January. Sheer driving pleasure indeed. Definitely not a family car, I will admit that, but I am a single man and it puts a smile on my face when I take it out. Even in the pandemic I have done 3,000+ kms and I can't wait to do more.

@@Torquebeast650 drive well and you wouldn't have to worry about maintenance. I have been driving Vento for past 8 years. However if you happen to break something it will be expensive to replace. If cheaper to run is your main factor in buying car then I would suggest going for Altroz, as it is safe and cheaper than Polo. As long as you respect the car and drive it well you wouldn't have to worry about the maintenance. The Vento that I drive gets serviced 3 times a year, yet the service cost doesn't go over 1,000 if nothing needs to be replaced. Fortunately we haven't had a single problem with Vento so far, runs smooth as ever.

We as a upcoming generation always choose Tata's safe cars over car with little bit good mileage. My father wanted to buy Baleno because of the mileage and good service but me and brother make him buy Altroz. Well we get our car on 30 November.
I Proud to be a Owner of Altroz, ultimate premium car. Excellent milage, I'm getting 14-15 kmpl in Hyderabad city. On Highway I drove 700 km with 30 litre petrol within the speed of 80kmph. Thank You
Best mil i've got is 18. 5 highway. Petrol pe depended karta hain. Hp power and she'll Premium giving good. Otherwise is around 14-15 city. Bad petrol i've seen 11, 12.. Stupid petrol pump guys mix a lot here in gandhinagar.
"Altroz - Safest car" - This is one thing is was enough for me to buy TaTa Altroz..Nd my experience with it for last 1 month is mind-blowing.. literally more than 100 people has asked me about the car..its absolutely a head turner..
They asked me too, in my case, colleagues and friends asked for a test drive, my answer is simple, no, it's personal 😄, i replied test drive will be given by tata with just a phone call away.
Used baleno 4.5 years..... Believe me it is still drive a like a new one...... If someone has to buy new car then altroz is good but second car is not a good deal..... Poor petrol engine

Its good to see that our very own Tata is making very good quality and modern cars. I was planning to buy Tiago XT. Went to showroom to get a close look of it. But my mind changed once stepped in the Altroz. It feels so spacious and premium. I will buy Altroz XE with Rhythm Pack (Petrol). On road price will be ~6 Lakh. Much cheaper than competition with all practical features. We should support Tata since their cars are now quite comparable with their rivals.
In 2023 i purchased altroz Na petrol bs6 phase 2... So much mature and improved car.. in every aspect.. engine is very nicely upgraded in bs6 phase 2... Very smooth.. less noise, no vibration and pickup is much much much better than older version... Very satisfying to drive

It is always tough to break down the established competition. But I personally feel Tata's new generation cars are wow. I am actually planning to buy Altroz, its surely one with mindbreaker looks.
I think it's safe enough. The safety if you're comparing the global NCAP ratings, is on par with the i20. Also I think he did not explain the ownership experience.

So, the baleno might have the same rating which is not really great for a so called "premium" hatchback. Maruti actually said they won't send their cars for crash testing. If that doesn't ring a bell for you, I don't know what will.
I brought tigor xz plus in Feb 2020 but bs4 version as I was getting good discounts and the car is very nice also , I never regretted my decision . But every time I see a i 20 ....man! This car is a heart stealer. I m in love with i 20 when it's first generation was launched and by the time it is becoming better than earlier . I wasn't able to buy i20 just because I can't afford it's low mileage and high maintenance cost . But one day I will buy one.

Whenever I see Tata Altroz... Only one thing comes in mind... Tata nailed it... Such a stunning car(in terms of look)... If it gets 1.0 L TSI (Same as Polo)... Then it would become invincible...

Even the Fiat Palio S10 gtx 2002 limited edition..canary yellow....Sachin signature...was a true beauty....raw power....100 bhp .... exhaust growling..the rear spoiler design no car had...side skirts......and steering was beautiful on point .... design way ahead of times.....👌

I saw it today in the TATA showroom and was actually surprised why I've never seen it on road. It was fabulous although it misses an automatic gearbox.
Undoubtedly..! Altroz is build to last. The looks are always subjective so somone may like classy cabins and other aesthetics. You rightly said about Polo it is keen driver's car not just only for commuting. If TATA start offering the tubro Petrol then definitely the pulse will increase in Petrol veins 😄😄😄

While all are discussing about cars. I will talk about the review itself. I am a fan of sirish chandran sir from overdrive days. Those days magazines were popular and I always brought autocar and overdrive and used to read at night while sleeping. Else I will not get sleep. Those days I was fan of sirish sir, bertand d Souza sir, vikrant Singh, Adil sir, shorabjee sir. They knew about automobiles and they talk about automobiles. The reviews were a lot interesting due to flow of words and the way language was set. Also data provided was so detailed. I still remember when extreme came the 24 hour test was done. Some of the words still echo in my mind. I still have all the magazines neatly packed. Those days magazine had those mega annual edition in August September when some special things were done like east west drive. Or Western ghats drive. Each such travelogue went 5-6 pages with beautiful articles and use of words. And in this age its full of garbage everywhere. Everyone is an expert. And no data is being given. Except someone just revving the nuts of the engine. Even today's magazine don't have that panache. Most new age guys don't have that expertise, or writing style. It becomes difficult o write more than one page. Leave alone 7-8 pages. And I still loves magazine. Nothing beats the old school magazines. Regarding this review as usual sirish sir I am a fan of you for no reason. The most balanced and polished review. No particular brand favourism or no saying bad things about any brands. Loved how you explained every cars pros and cons. Just fantastic. And this is for @sirish sir. I love the way you present every thing. Haven't seen bertand sir. I always wanted to write to you and all the old teams over email for thanking you and your team how they worked and brought quality content. And I hoped I may work In such magazines being a mechanical engineer. If ever I may get lucky to get your e mail id. I may write a long blog how you and your old team turned me into a petrol head. I have driven i20 and to be honest I didn't like it. It's my personal opinion. I own a Hyundai Santro and I don't like the built quality at all, I don't like cars from Hyundai.
I saw hell lot of Tiago's, Nexon's. Even there are Harriers on road. I haven't seen an Altroz yet. Already my close relatives have bought Tiago. My next car will be Tata.
Wonderful review and comparisons. I own an Altroz XZ O petrol since Feb this year and I love driving it. Here in Bangalore, Altroz cars have increased steadily since early July. I purchased it for its safety profile alone, but get complimented at least twice a week.on it's colour (gold and black dual) and design. I've just completed the second service, with no issues whatsoever. After sales service is good in Bangalore. All the electronics are working well. Fuel economy is around 16 kmpl if 80 percent of the drive is in a metro city. If it's 50 percent metro city and 50 percent highway then 18 to 19 easily with the petrol. Driving on ghats is a delight and long distance drives with family of five very comfortable. Cons - significant veiling glare on windshield when the sun is high up in a cloudless sky and gear transition from first to second is notchy. Dealership experience is average. No probs apart from that. Overall, I wouldn't know if the.Altroz would be a big hit, but it's steadily changing public opinion and perception of Tata cars for sure. Many of my colleagues have decided to buy a TaMo car when they switch next time.
I am using Honda Jazz CVT, it a sheer pleasure to drive everytime. Honda's smooth iVtec 4 Cylinder Petrol Engine, Cabin Space, 7 Speed CVT with Paddle Shifters gives me a great sense of driving always.
Which among these can give the feeling of ww polo gt if bought in automatic gear shift . I just love the polo gt . I dont want amt engine at all in auto , coz in amt the gear shifting gives a bit of a jerk like in the celerio , santro etc.
Yesterday i cancel the order of Altroz because of delays. For now I'm going to buy 2nd hand car. But when I buy brand new car it is surely the Altroz . ❤️

Yes, I have seen 5 ALTROZ in my city till date because I rarely have moved out of my house in this lockdown. So, I was lucky to find these head turners moving around. I am pretty sure that there are plenty of ALTROZ spreading the Awestruck look & strongly wish for the same. Yes, it has ticked all the checkboxes for the criteria of a logical hot hatch. It's beautifully carved, loaded with no gimmicky features, sensibly spaced & it gives you whole lot of confidence while driving. You feel sure footed. I am waiting for the Turbocharged engine on the ALTROZ now. Ohhhhh! Turbo....... The Polo TSI shouldn't be compared. It's a class apart. Sir, please do watch this review & you'll know that if this comparison wasn't the case you would have drove the Polo to its limits & that broad smile of yours would have been a never ending one. i20 really doesn't look old on outside or on inside. It's a good car. The smooth engine plays no tantrums. However, I can't trust the handling of the car. Baleno being the top seller always makes me feel butterflies in my stomach on a sharp turn. Agility & lightweightedness..... I am bit skeptical for the Baleno. One thing I missed in the video was the Jazz. The peppy & smooth iVTEC makes it a good buy. However, it is an underrated one in my opinion. Summing up, I loved the video & would definitely recommend it to people who are looking for a premium hatchback. Thanks a lot for the video.👏👏👏👏👏

Its good to see that our very own Tata is making very good quality and modern cars. I was planning to buy Tiago XT. Went to showroom to get a close look of it. But my mind changed once stepped in the Altroz. It feels so spacious and premium. I will buy Altroz XE with Rhythm Pack (Petrol). On road price will be ~6 Lakh. Much cheaper than competition with all practical features. We should support Tata since their cars are now quite comparable with their rivals.
In 2023 i purchased altroz Na petrol bs6 phase 2... So much mature and improved car.. in every aspect.. engine is very nicely upgraded in bs6 phase 2... Very smooth.. less noise, no vibration and pickup is much much much better than older version... Very satisfying to drive

I think it's safe enough. The safety if you're comparing the global NCAP ratings, is on par with the i20. Also I think he did not explain the ownership experience.

So, the baleno might have the same rating which is not really great for a so called "premium" hatchback. Maruti actually said they won't send their cars for crash testing. If that doesn't ring a bell for you, I don't know what will.

I brought tigor xz plus in Feb 2020 but bs4 version as I was getting good discounts and the car is very nice also , I never regretted my decision . But every time I see a i 20 ....man! This car is a heart stealer. I m in love with i 20 when it's first generation was launched and by the time it is becoming better than earlier .
I wasn't able to buy i20 just because I can't afford it's low mileage and high maintenance cost . But one day I will buy one.

@Gaming Zone with GOD but nexon diesel engine is better than ford ecosport diesel, it pulls better and faster than ecosport, tata have good petrol engines too like the jtp engine but i dont know why they are hoarding that engine which can be easily convertible to bs6 version as it was a 1.2 revotron.

I am a fan of sirish chandran sir from overdrive days. Those days magazines were popular and I always brought autocar and overdrive and used to read at night while sleeping. Else I will not get sleep.
Those days I was fan of sirish sir, bertand d Souza sir, vikrant Singh, Adil sir, shorabjee sir. They knew about automobiles and they talk about automobiles. The reviews were a lot interesting due to flow of words and the way language was set. Also data provided was so detailed.
I still remember when extreme came the 24 hour test was done. Some of the words still echo in my mind.
I still have all the magazines neatly packed.
Those days magazine had those mega annual edition in August September when some special things were done like east west drive. Or Western ghats drive. Each such travelogue went 5-6 pages with beautiful articles and use of words.
And in this age its full of garbage everywhere. Everyone is an expert. And no data is being given. Except someone just revving the nuts of the engine. Even today's magazine don't have that panache. Most new age guys don't have that expertise, or writing style. It becomes difficult o write more than one page. Leave alone 7-8 pages.
And I still loves magazine.
Nothing beats the old school magazines. Regarding this review as usual sirish sir I am a fan of you for no reason. The most balanced and polished review. No particular brand favourism or no saying bad things about any brands.

I have driven i20 and to be honest I didn't like it. It's my personal opinion. I own a Hyundai Santro and I don't like the built quality at all, I don't like cars from Hyundai.

Wonderful review and comparisons. I own an Altroz XZ O petrol since Feb this year and I love driving it. Here in Bangalore, Altroz cars have increased steadily since early July. I purchased it for its safety profile alone, but get complimented at least twice a week.on it's colour (gold and black dual) and design. I've just completed the second service, with no issues whatsoever. After sales service is good in Bangalore. All the electronics are working well. Fuel economy is around 16 kmpl if 80 percent of the drive is in a metro city. If it's 50 percent metro city and 50 percent highway then 18 to 19 easily with the petrol. Driving on ghats is a delight and long distance drives with family of five very comfortable. Cons - significant veiling glare on windshield when the sun is high up in a cloudless sky and gear transition from first to second is notchy. Dealership experience is average. No probs apart from that. Overall, I wouldn't know if the.Altroz would be a big hit, but it's steadily changing public opinion and perception of Tata cars for sure. Many of my colleagues have decided to buy a TaMo car when they switch next time.
I am using Honda Jazz CVT, it a sheer pleasure to drive everytime. Honda's smooth iVtec 4 Cylinder Petrol Engine, Cabin Space, 7 Speed CVT with Paddle Shifters gives me a great sense of driving always.

Which among these can give the feeling of ww polo gt if bought in automatic gear shift . I just love the polo gt . I dont want amt engine at all in auto , coz in amt the gear shifting gives a bit of a jerk like in the celerio , santro etc.

Yes, I have seen 5 ALTROZ in my city till date because I rarely have moved out of my house in this lockdown. So, I was lucky to find these head turners moving around. I am pretty sure that there are plenty of ALTROZ spreading the Awestruck look & strongly wish for the same. Yes, it has ticked all the checkboxes for the criteria of a logical hot hatch. It's beautifully carved, loaded with no gimmicky features, sensibly spaced & it gives you whole lot of confidence while driving. You feel sure footed. I am waiting for the Turbocharged engine on the ALTROZ now. Ohhhhh! Turbo....... The Polo TSI shouldn't be compared. It's a class apart. Sir, please do watch this review & you'll know that if this comparison wasn't the case you would have drove the Polo to its limits & that broad smile of yours would have been a never ending one.
i20 really doesn't look old on outside or on inside. It's a good car. The smooth engine plays no tantrums. However, I can't trust the handling of the car. Baleno being the top seller always makes me feel butterflies in my stomach on a sharp turn. Agility & lightweightedness..... I am bit skeptical for the Baleno.
One thing I missed in the video was the Jazz. The peppy & smooth iVTEC makes it a good buy. However, it is an underrated one in my opinion.
Summing up, I loved the video & would definitely recommend it to people who are looking for a premium hatchback. Thanks a lot for the video.👏👏👏👏👏
