The thing, what brought that plane down, was probably an EMP. ( Electro Magnetic Pulse), what the Sun (and nuclear weapons) generate. Auroras are the result of that solar radiation hitting the atmosphere. Sometimes, the Sun generates too much of it (solar storm), and the funny thing about EMP; it destroys electronic devices. During "mild" solar storms (we've had some in the past, in years like: 1859, 2012, etc.) the damage is not so bad. Most of the time the damage is blackouts (temporary) and some internet connection problems. However, the worst solar storms have the potential to destroy and electronics, destroy the satellites (wich are resbonsible for internet, GPS, tv, etc.) and destroy fuses, electricity poles, and so on. The 2012 solar storm had this potential, bit fortunately, it missed Earth. So, worst case scenario = no internet, electrisity, all things with electronics are useless (including newer cars and planes) in the whole world! And the aftermath of such an storm is mass panic, fear, riots, you could't shower, flush the toilet, no tap water, no food to the shops, the potential collapse of the world economy, etc. Pretty bad. It isn't confirmed, but the worst case scenario probably happened in The Long Dark. And if the solat storm is MASSIVE it could potentially destroy all life on earth. (because the radiation is harmful to life, but we have the atmosphere to protect us) Huh, what a long comment! :D
I really like the art form used in the graphics and the detail put into facts such rosehip tea for pain. The music was great. The story line was clear and interesting. Good review of this game.
The game has continued change. When I first played ot, there was no tutorial section in the hanger, you just have a cinematic of beginning and wake up at the crash site. I think they added a little more to he!p players figure out the mechanics.
