edit: After watching Chris's vid I realized that I didn't talk much about hysto. I do plan on getting a hysto due to health risks. The only reconstructive surgery I plan to get is top surgery.
Bottom surgery is improving little by little, but there are enough bugs and the expense is so high that I'm skipping it, too. I don't need it to anchor my identity, and it's obvious you don't, either. I'm glad there aren't any negative comments. Just, please, stop playing with your hair so much, dude! hey man I don't have bottom dysphoria! I actually like having a vagina honestly. I dabbled with the idea of getting bottom surgery for a while but I kinda started feeling like it's not really worth it for me. my vagina doesn't make me any less of a dude than anyone else.

It seems to me that you'd be going exactly against what you've worked so hard to to attain... which is to be happy and feel comfortable in your own body, rather than having to bend to what those around you think you should do and be. I think you've earned the right to do whatever the hell you want. Right fucking on!
Dude don't get intimidated, people get so nuts about these topics because they want everyone on their side (because they are feeling the pressure of battling for equality and they want to, like, build an army I guess..) and so they pressure people towards certain hardline opinions, but I think it's awesome that you're stating your actual opinions, because I think a lot of people are really somewhere in the middle on these topics but too intimidated to say it.
I have the same experience as you that, like, dysphoria... it's all me. And despite my body, I think the people around me generally see me for who I am. And the more I realize that, the more comfortable and confident I feel.

Emery, there's no problem whatsoever with you not wanting bottom surgery. As long as you're comfortable with yourself you shouldn't care what others say. Since you've come out you should feel free to be who you really are and say what you want.
What's in your pants is not what makes you truly male. Being yourself makes you male. Doing what feels right to you makes you male. If someone has bottom dysphoria then by all means they should do something about it, if not, don't. It's all a matter of a persons individual mindset and nothing else.
My personal opinion as a gay cis male is that "As long as there is a connection, we share some common interests, like each other, etc... I don't care about his anatomy and the possibility of a long and loving relationship is there." "Anatomy love does not care about."

Keep being true to yourself, do and don't do what feels right for you. I'm a cis-gay man and I've been intimate with a wonderful guy who was FTM, without bottom surgery. He was so worried about my reaction the first time, but I held him and told him I wanted to be with him, it didn't matter what was between his legs. We had a beautiful evening and my actions backed up what I told him we're my feelings for him.
If your with someone and they are negative, then they really do not care about you, find someone who really does!

I totally agree! Bottom surgery for ftm is nowhere near as advanced as mtf bottom surgery. I also don't have dysphoria below the belt! As long as you are happy in your body eventually.
All that matters is your comfort. Anyone who loves you are going to love you however you are and if they don't then they don't truly love you. I would want someone to love me for all of me.... Not just my body. I'm a biological girl, I don't care if a guy has 5 legs and a tail as long as they're good to me and are always there when I need them.... And I know I'm not the only human that's feeling that when looking for someone to love.

yes, typically you have to be 18. in some places a therapist can recommend a psych evaluation, and a psych can prescribe T, but that is quite rare without parental consent. - emery

taking all the options into consideration, I came to the conclusion that if I ever make it to the stage where I can transition, I wouldn't get bottom surgery at all. From what I've seen about it it just doesn't give the results I personally would want. I'd have to go with getting a 'Reelmagic' prosthetic, as that is the exact outcome I'd be wanting.

I feel the exact same way as you, Em. I'm comfortable with my body and how I am and do not and never have desired bottom surgery. I just think it's way too costly and not that great of an outcome...

To me, "penis" is just a word that someone thought up for a body part and put a definition to it. I like to define words for myself. Some people say that doesn't make sense, but I would ask them to define "sense." Sense: any of the faculties, as sight, hearing, smell, taste, or touch, by which humans and animals perceive stimuli originating from outside or inside the body. MY body, MY sense. MY penis. Also, look up the word Man. Also, the word Friend.

I am scared.....this video I can really relate to......I am not sure if I want bottom surgery and so far I don't feel dysphoric from my bottom but my top I do......however, my close friend told me that I HAD to get bottom surgery in order to be a guy......so IDK what I WANT.......and I don't know how to figure it out....... :/ -Mikey
I don't see what is wrong with bottom surgery. I was talking to a friend once and I was thinking about it and my friend goes "NO, NO, NO! Bottom surgery is not worth it"!

It's upsetting to hear that people have insecurities regarding their partners (possible) non-understanding / non-tendancies to see them as men unless physically looking like one. My past relationships and my Gf right now have just known that I was a man on the inside without me telling them and I love when I'm misgendered (I somewhat identify as a man in a lesbian body) But looking like a man doesn't necessarily make you one just like being in a female body doesn't make you necessarily female.

i respect everyones opinion, but i really dont get why every single trans guy who doesnt have bottom dypshoria (which mean he doesnt have a clue what is this like) and deside to speak about the issue, mention so many ignorant things. Why you people dont get that someone has bottom dysphoria not because "he is not dating" or because "he is afraid that his partner will not be satisfied" but simply because he is feeling that this body part doesnt belong to him. Make the analogy with top dysphoria.
