Rogues are getting shit on since the beginning of the times. No main lore propagonist, no love, no hero. Nothing. It´s like blizzard forgot that rogue is still class. or maybe there are powerful rogues but we just haven´t seen them ;)
Well theres Valeera- She's technically an uber powerful hero rogue- Just most her screentime has been in a book/comic =/ Although she's popped up in stormwind a few times and shows up in the rogue order hall

How would druids be completely useless in a wasteland? In the War of the Ancients trilogy, we read countless amounts of times about how Malfurion used seeds that he carried with him to attack him foes. Druids should still be able to carry seeds in pouches anywhere they go. And don't forget, they can shape-shift also when they are in an unkind environment.
He means by most of there ability as in a lore reason. Like roots comming out of a dead corrupted ground can happen but in lore its very rare you could see that.
as long as a druid is keeping seeds on him he should be able to do fine, but he will ALWAYS be more powerful in lush areas full of life. Or areas where the barrier between the emerald dream and the true world is thin, like in Tirisfal, a dead area, but the connection to the emerald dream around that place is thin enough for druids to tap into it's powers without a lot of problems.
He's talking base stuff. No seeds, and no theoretically ability to use other sources of natural magics. Granted we do know they have some form of elemental manipulation and can still do SOME stuff in a wasteland. Once a druid takes root, you cant drive them out.
Plus shapeshifting...Most druids who focus on offensive side of druidism except some lore chars aka malfi tend to use shapeshifting instead...Which are NOT normal animals...
@@omegatuna2056 You'are missing probably the most powerful druids trates wich is Solar and stars energy or winds or Thunders. Even on wastelands they are much above avrage power. In My opinion they are top2 Strongest class in game. Only warlock is definitly Stronger than Druids. Not Even mages are.
For starters, players use their druidic powers in wastelands consistently, they can magically grow life from near nothingness. Second, a powerful archdruid like Malfurion can create a forest in even the most tainted lands. WC3 has shown that, as the Night Elves grew their fortifications using druidic magic.

Doron, I am pretty biased here but I think you're selling monks pretty short. To me it seems like you think, or atleast explain them as, these martial artists with a little bit of magic. That's a very big simplification. I mean they have a lot of defensive, offensive and healing magic. They have a lot of speed, strength and durability. I mean if brewmasters are like anything like they are ingame (spells) then they could probably take quite a few spells before going down, that being if they didn't just run up to the magic user and kill them already. They also aren't always close range; they have spells like jade lightning, breath of fire and probably another i'm forgetting. Originally the Pandaren had to fight massive stone creatures, so its not unfair to assume that that strength they get from using their Chi is powerful enough to break creatures like that. It also seems Windwalkers are VERY quick, taking from ingame you could say their speed was a little under if not rivaling a DHs. Much like DHs I could imagine they could close in on their foe before they could cast a spell, or swing a sword, and even if they did, they could probably just take the brunt of the blow and continue their attack, and if they're wounded they could try to drink a brew or heal. I know this argument is fairly flawed as i'm going off ingame spells a lot, but with the lack of lore and examples for monks I don't really have anything else to take from, and maybe that's why you put them pretty low on your power list. All in all I think Monks are one of the more powerful classes, mostly because of their superhuman physical attributes and their ability to stop magic from harming them, or just stop it from being casted. That's not mentioning their other abilities like healing or elemental magic.

It's his bias plain and simple. He says that Shadow priests are limited because they work near the brink of insanity but doesn't acknowledge the fact that too much fel energy can also destroy the caster.
actually if you read the Arthas novel he never was so close to death before .. illidan WAS stronger but that doesn't mean he will win .. strength alone doesn't = winning he got cocky and misstep which left him open for a moment which arthas took advantage of and wounded him and won the duel
Sorry but no way is the maximum power a demon hunter can ever achieve anywhere close to what the top tier mages can bring to the table. In fact Illidan's greatest feats were him using his mage abilities, not demon hunter powers. Mages are capable of absurd things like making cities float, open portals between worlds, melting Northrend, time manipulation and turning a entire population into ghosts for 10,000 years, etc.
These were with some specific people who had specific sources of power.thats not to be included here.as such shamans who are very strong like thrall with doomhammer they r not exactly that comparable considering thrall literally broke the elements dark curse in Parrish hold and still battle.

Based on the lore, I think Void > Fell or Light > Arcane > Elemental or Nature > Melee (Kinda tricky but Void is definitely the strongest given that even Sargeras had a hard time dealing with partial void power. Nobody in the warcraft faced the full power of void yet)
This is kind of late lol but the channel owner did mention that the warlocks use both fel and void powers. Also the problem with void is that its something only effectively usable by the voidlords themselves, and just somewhat for shadow priests.
Originally I wrote the script for the necromancers, shadow hunters and a few other strictly lore classes. Ended up scrapping it as the list was very awkward and some very powerful classes were higher on the list than they should have been.
For the longest time I never knew shadow priests used the actual void. The void was always my favorite. But the new animations of the shadow priest make it much more obvious. So as of BfA I'm moving from a druid go a priest. :)
Demon hunter logic: sacrifices eyes and their elvish looks. has sacrificed everything. Warlocks and death knights however: have to drain life force from people to stay alive. dk can't sleep or enjoy anything in life. Elves are weak indeed.
except by lore demon hunters ARE still able to shift their fel sight to be able to see 'ordinarily'...so technically all they sacrifice in exchange for their power is the risk of becoming evil if the demon within corrupts them fully and their former lives/social status.
To be completely Honest Priest shoud be on the top. Followed by warlocks and mages. Simply because these 3 classes use the most powerful set of magic. Mages use Arcane( Order) Warlocks wield Fel ( Disorder ), whilst the priest wield the 2 Fundamental kinds of magic. The Light and the Void. This is the only class that wields the 2 oppsoites of the coins. For example Mages Arcane which is the opposite of Warlocks Fel ( Order and Disorder) Druids wield the power of nature and life whilst Dks wield death and decay Shamans wield only the elements which is the weakest magic of them all Now come the non magic classes AKA Hunters Rogues, Warriors even those classes show super human powers but limited to their physical prowess And Paladins and Demon Hunters Paladins are priest that trained like warriors but know only Holy Magic Demon Hunters are strictly trained to fight demons, (becoming one) meaning Warlocks are there superiors because they control demons, whilst the DH is one. And Priest are the one and only class That wields the two most powerful yet opposite kind of magic Light and Void from these 2 came all the others its like the Big Bang and in wow, when they collide they created everything else. Although we know almost nothing about the Void. We know that the Void lords are the most feared beings in existance. Meaning their magic is the most potetn equal to the pure light (holy) I would like to hear what thoughts people have on my theory
dood, DH were trained to also counter warlocks, because burning legion have a lot of them (like eredar warlocks). So its the other way around, DH counter warlock.

According to WoW Lore: Nature forces, shadows, decay, chi etc < arcane magic < fel magic < Light = Void. So, Shamans, druids, dks, monks etc < mages < warlocks and dh < paladins = ???? Paladins and whoever has control over the void energies are the strongest clases.
Arcane and fel are equal. But arcane is very corruptive so the mortals who wield fel tend to be more powerful than those who wield arcane magic (in terms of pure damage - not 'utility' etc)

His mastery of the light grants him wisdom more than it does power. Perhaps even more valuable but not relevant to what the list is getting at I think.
of course not, first off, velen is a LIGHT priest....second thought, you do not COMMAND, you serve it....darkness and light are opposite of each other, but darkness you can use and abuse of it, and you cant do the same about the light

I really think the video doesn't pay enough attention to the Druid class. The shapeshifted forms are not just animals, they are avators of their gods, made in their image. The Druids don't entirely rely on nature damage, they have the power of the sun, moon, and stars. The Druid's power is more powerful than you think.
Why won't you get it Doron? DKs were created wit one and only purpose - to overpower mages. Meaning they ARE MORE POWERFUL. DK can easily beat any caster and melee class with exceptions of Demon hunters (that would be close fight) and Warlocks.
Starkaiser PT Well not really. Average DK will beat average Pali, if they are not at holy grout that is. You may see it when DK's assault Lights hope and Tirion (who is far above average) has to come to stop them.
Mr.Vojtik yes you are right. in general dks are stronger and more resilient than pallys, but i think a shadow priest could beat a DK just my opinion though.
Actually Dk would have harder time with paladin than dh. Cause dh can do some strikes but they will prove useless againts the dk, while dk can outlast the dh and mess them up using blood magic or just feeze them to death. Paladins on the other hand are a very powerfull foe and it all depents on the land where they are fighting and on the skill (mostly of the skill of paladins as dks are not even given the chance if they are weak)
A clear favoritism has been shown in here. While you state "lore classes" you ignore the actual "lore" of the classes and there is a lack of measuring. Shamans In the books and in the game are not wusses that become useless the moment the elements are not feeling like it. A lof of them were experienced warriors before they started tapping in the power of the elements. This can also be seen in the hand to hand combat prowess of the class. Druids - Emerald dream and gods. Ignored that, and a lot of power/weakness has come to the druids from the powers bestowed from there. I would not say that the savageness they have or the ability to drop moons are also considered "weak if not in a forest". This is excluding the capabilities they have to use other sourced of power (Firelands, anyone?) Paladins - PRIEST WERE NOT WEAK. They were the only healers that the Kingdom of Lorderon had and were cherished. A order of the priest stationed in Nortshire raised to arms during the first orc invasion, in order to combat the warlocks and the First DK generation. You also ignored that the light is mostly neutral about the affairs of mortal, hence the scarlet crusade had paladins and priests. (Blood Elfes were also rather strange light users) The biggest weakness of both classes is that they are mortals, that are able to bend and twist the light. This is also applied to the Naru. DK - The biggest asset of any DK is not they runic power, the fact that they are undead, the saronite armor or the spikes on shoulder pads. It is the facts that only they were picked from Arthas, among the best soldiers of different wars. It was referenced a lot of times (including the passive "veteran of the 3-rd war") and in Legion they raise some of the best heroes the horde and alliance had. Issue - they are not living. They lack morals. They can become the next scourge if they deem fit at any given time. And you pick some of the most edgelord classes for the top picks, even though each of them has failed on numerous occasions? Did you forget that even the best of them were put down, massacred and treated like mad dogs? What is the merit of power if you can't control it? Just because Blizz decided to blow the "illidan was good all along" whistle, does not remove what we saw at the black temple.

Everyone is entitled to personal opinion, but that does not make them immune to critique. If you poke around the full Druid Lore - the characters you play are mister good shoes, but Druids in general are not like that. Majordomo and his entourage - Went for Fire affinity. Xavius corrupted Druids - Using the Corrupted Emerald Nightmare. If Druids for any reason do not use the original source of power (The Emerald Dream), they become akin to Warlocks. Edit there is also the part about shape shifting and druids... Broll Bearmantle was one of the most dangerous druids and companion of Varian while using exclusively his Bear form.
Two things: One, Illidan was not good all along. No one said that. He was just a dick doing what he thought was right for the right reasons in the wrong way. That never really changed. He just failed, that's all. Second, I agree with you, his picks were bad. You didn't mention mages, but I will. They are the creators of the Guardian of Azeroth, one of the most famous beings (although it's a title and heritage more than an actual person) in all of Azeroth and a tremendous help towards safe-guarding the world, they are capable of teleporting whole cities and suspending them in the air, knocking out armies with numerous spells and so on. He puts them far too low on this list for all that they have accomplished. Underestimating mages is precisely how the Legion kept losing.

"Druids would be useless in a wasteland" Absolutely wrong, druids draws their powers from the life plan and the emerald dream itself. Even in a desert or a corrupted wasteland the druid is able to use the powers of nature.
The thing about shadow priests, specifically, is that to draw more power, they have to put themselves at greater risk, potentially fully losing their minds and becoming corrupted or consumed by the void. So they can draw tremendous power... in theory. This is reflected in both their insanity mechanic, and that one talent that straight up kills you (surrender to madness). Oh, and unlike warlocks, who just end up joining the Legion if they become corrupted, shadow priests just generally become a danger to everyone else, if they live. They become just like the void, pure chaos.
I've got a bit of an unusual opinion here, but I think warriors should be pretty high up here, because if casters get to use magic powers that aren't theirs, then warriors should get the benefits of the powerful weapons, like the ones of broxxigar, or that one Aldrachi guy, both warriors and the only two beings to harm sargaeras
One thing to note about DH's.. to even become a DH they likely had to be some of the best Thalassian or Kaldorei warriors prior to their transformation. And say what you will but a human warrior who trains for 30 years has nothing on a Sin'dorei thats been at it for 200 hundred... not to mention Kaldorei that may have been one for thousands. As a fencing instructor IRL imma tell you mele is 100% all about practice..... Add to that the insane power gains they get from transforming and DH's are absolute stompers in the lore.... I mean.. Illidan literally manhandles Gul'Dan... and the DH is much closer to Illidan than the DK was to ARthas.,
In all honesty, I would place warriors on 10th or 9th. They're very basic in terms of lore, but they are also one of the few classes only relying on pure strength rather than channeling strength from the light, fel, arcane, or even a pet. In term of lore characters we have some of the strongest characters (Odin, Garrosh, and I would guess Sargeras pre-corruption) so in terms of pure strength and not ability warriors are incredibly strong. Unlike the warlock whose bodies often weaken due to corruption

Varok Sourfang - was a beast in all wars, Grom Hellscream - Killed the most powerful pitlord, Varian Vryn - Best alliance king who was strong as a wolf, Broxigar the Red - Damaged a fcking Sargeras, and many more amazing warriors, I bet they have way more lore approval than for example Hunters
Wasn't it Gul'dan who created the first death knights? I can't remember which book i read that in, but maybe it was Tides of Darkness, or Beyond the Dark Portal.
Warlocks are basicly the class with no limits that tap in fel and the void. Can practice necromancy, subdo demons as strong as the eredar twins when being a cult. Were once able to use a own Kind of metarmorphosis in wich they create a exo Skeleton of Magic wich strenghened their meelee by far and allowed them to fly with wings. Can heal themselves during fights by just draining life energy and turn it into a spell. Break banish and enslave everything demonic and also void creatures. And when you look at the strongest known Warlock Kil'jaeden. Many more things.

Akash sharma would say vol'jin is useful in lore rexxar is also quite good sylvanas would be hunter in class lore, Tyrande whisperwind these are just some that comes of the top of my head. and i would say all are quite useful lorewise
This list was pretty accurate until the last five. Warlocks would be tied or just behind Paladin and shadow priest which would be number 1 with the recent additions to lore. Paladins are vessels of the light (Excluding Tauren) and much like a shadow priests have no almost no limit to what they can achiev if they delve deep enough into their craft. Death knights were litterally the bane to anything excluding warlocks and yet paladins in lore are a huge counter to the death knight. The only class that could possible keep pace with either the shadow priest or a paladin would be a demon hunter or lock. And since a paladin does not have to basically lose control of themselves to gain such unimaginable power (Like the other 3) they can easily dwarf the others. The only one who could possibly keep pace is a DH if they are strong willed enough. Actual 6-10 is Mage, death knight, shadow priest, locks, Demon Hunters, Paladins.
I personally would have put Paladins at the top, but mostly because the Light has basically just gone and said "Hey fuck you" a few times and been completely OP. For example, when Mograine and the horsemen invade the Sanctum of the Light to get Tirion's corpse, the Light just goes "Nah fam fuck off". Seeing as the Light is based almost entirely off of belief in terms of how powerful it can be in the hands of those who use it, I'd say it has the POTENTIAL to be the most powerful, but only if the belief of the wielder is strong enough.
Remember people he said his oppinion nobody has to get upset about it. Everyone has different oppi ions on these things and u less bliz flat out comes out and tells us in lore which classes are best, doron and others are free to speculate on best class all they want
Death Knights are way too damn low. In the lore, Death Knight are pretty much immortal to the point where the only way of really killing them is to blast them into tiny pieaces. Not only that, but all of them wear saronite armor, a metal that drives the living to insanity by simply being around the stuff. Not to mention the fact that these fucks have no weaknesses outside of holy magic and even then it's a weakness they can overcome simply by nullifying said magic or crushing their opponents skulls before they have a chance to chant. Like it or not, but lore wise there really are no classes that can tangle with Death Knights and paladins.
paladin? i raise you a pyromancer or shaman with some lava, use his armor against himself, there's a reason full plate armor wasn't all that common IRL, it had quite a few downsides, and for death knights, a paladin should be able to 1 on 1 that shit, as that's exactly what they're supposedly trained for
yes but mages, locks and spriests continually learn and will figure out a way for the weakness. That is what mages do with arcane. think of them as professors and the R & D type.
Not true. I main a DK, and in-game and in-lore their power level is never low but can vastly differ per death-knight. Blood: Blood is the classic terminator. The entire idea is a juggernaut that you just can't kill. Through the use of blood magic & other tricks, blood DKs constantly heal their injuries while preventing more from occurring with magic like anti-magic shell, bone shield, and icebound fortitude. All of these have been used by various NPCs. The blood DK is at it's finest when the mitigation & leech out-paces incoming damage, as they can keep going indefinitely while anyone who isn't undead is going to get tired/drained. A master blood death-knight doesn't kill champions, he kills the entire !@#$ing army by himself, which is something no other class or spec can do. The catch is that while blood DKs are incredible at taking out those that are weaker than them with their mastery of sustainable death-dealing, they are highly vulnerable to focused fire. The moment you out-pace both self-healing & mitigation you have gone from no chance at victory to a !@#$ good one. Unholy: Entirely depend on the DK in question. Mastery of biological warfare, undead minions, and shadow-magic means that a very clever death-knight will do far better than one with 10 times the power but half the brains. The DK in question may also focus on quality over quantity, quantity over quality, minions that exist solely to support their mastery, autonomous armies with fanatical devotion, or in theory no minion at all! These guys can not only give the royal apothecary society a run for their money, their exotic shadow-magic and undead break the rules of conventional necromancy meaning the improperly prepared are in for a !@#$ of a surprise. Frost: The spec I know the least about. Still, General winter is never a bad ally. This DK is far better in northrend than stranglethorn, but even in tropical areas being un-prepared for a gust of augmented arctic wind is going to hurt. In terms of synergy, Blood DKs synergize extremely well with discipline priests because of their similar doctrine of healing through killing the enemy, and actively preventing damage from occurring in the first place. Both suffer from the same weakness, but when you combine the two anything short of a tactical nuke isn't going to do more than !@#$ them off from the sheer amount of active mitigation and life-leech the two are using. Give me 10 blood DKs and 5 Disc priests, and Mardun is as good as ours. That's the kind of power the two can achieve working together.
I talked about everyone in addition warrior and rogue, I don't know if it was needed, you could speak about 2 next classes and have all playeble classes, so full potential. I hope anyone undrestanded what I want to say... :D
I agree, feels a bit off to do a top 10 when there are 12 classes in total. But I guess that would make one class the "weakest", so for the sake of reducing butt-hurt levels in the comment section it's probably for the best. :)
Warriors and rogues are in general very weak classes, so they don't get into the list. There are rly only a few beeings that achieved to be almost unstopable. For example Varian Wryn who was the leader of the alliance. Or Broxxigar, who managed to wound the titan Sargeras with an axe. Grommash Hellscream killed Mannoroth in Wc3 ALL 1 BY 1! So, there are strong warriors out there, don't know that much about rogues though :'D
I know no one cares about my comment but as a guy who played Warcraft 3 and actually read some Warcraft lore pages on wiki sites I can say that Demonhunters and Death Knights a nearly equaly strong (see fight between Illidan and Arthas). Paladins are the Holy warriors and do actually really good versus the bad guys like DK and Warlocks (the Ashbringer is a powerful weapon and if used by a Paladin ... play the DK quest to the end and see it yourself). Druids are very strong and there is not much to say about that (hello Cenarius OP?!) I agree with the top tier class Warlock (Lord Archimonde and Gul'dan is enough as a reference). So in a list its like this: S+ Tier: Warlocks S: Druids A+: Paladins, Demonhunters, Death Knights, A: Mages, Shamans B: Warriors, Hunters, Rogues, Monks, Priests
Hunter has to win the strangest class. Shouldn't they just be out in the woods collecting furs to bring to market so they can avoid starving during the winter? Not off killing raid bosses on alien planets...
If you take all the strongest member of each class and compare them the list is somewhat different. Warlock : Gul'Dan Monk : Shaohao (he's probably a very unique case for monks but He's OP as fuck and we are talking about the extreme potential of each class) Hunter : Rexxar or Nathanos Blightcaller Warrior : Varyan or Broxigar or Grommash Priest : Prophet Velen ? Tyrande ? Mage : Aegwynn or Medhiv Shaman : Thrall Paladin : Uther or Tyrion or Alexandros Mograine Death Knight : Arthas (before becoming LK) Druid : Malfurion Rogue : I guess the main members of the rogue order hall like Garona and shit. Demon Hunter : Illidan Now organize these bad boys according to who would win against who. 1) DK 2)DH and Mage 3)Monk but only because of Shaohao 4)Warlock and Paladin and Shaman 5)Druids and Priests 6) Warriors 7)Rogues and Hunters. Because hunters and rogues don't seem to be able to do much against really powerful opponents whereas warriors like Broxigar and Grommash or Varyan manage to kill or hurt extremely powerful foes by themselves. Druids and priests are versatile and stuff and though shadowpriests seem powerful we haven't seen them do much. They can mind control people and stuff but they still seem frail. Also healing isn't very useful to slay an enemy. And druids are cool but i feel like transforming into a cat or a bear is sortof weak compared to using the powers of the sun and the moon to burn your enemies. I feel like Malfurion would get bodied by Thrall or Uther or Gul'dan. For the fourth place i mostly think it's hard to put one of the classes above the other because they all have incredible feats of strength : - Paladins have "breaking Frostmourne and defeating the LK, winning alone against an army of undead" - Shamans have "earth warder and slaying Deathwing and crushing and iron horde army with one well placed thunder storm blast" - Warlocks have "summoning fel reavers from the sky and all the crazy shit Gul'dan does. For the Monks I think that without Shaohao they are at the same level as hunters and rogues. But Shaohao is OP as fuck. He puts a magic weather over a continent for thousands of years and overcomes Old God entities. Mages because Medhiv and Aegwynn are crazy strong and do really weird shit with time travel and dimension crossing and Sargeras fighting. And i feel like Illidan is just pretty good mage who just became powerful by absorbing the powers of the skull of Gul'dan and demon "gifts". He still got bodied by a weakened Arthas in front of the Throzen Throne though. And Arthas before becoming the Lich King kills Uther, Sylvanas, he defeats Illidan and Kael'Thas and shit. He's just really fucking strong. He's really way more powerful than all of these mother fucker even before becoming the Lich King. And Tyrion breaking Forstmourne would make a lot of people think Paladins are just as strong as DK's but honestly, Tyrion would have no chance in a 1 vs 1 against Arthas. The reason he got the chance to break frostmourne like he did was because the Lich King put his guard down and also because there was 25 or 10 heroes helping him. So yeah.
Seems like a fair enough list :) Wish you had done an honorable mention of the two remaining classes though (Warriors and Rogues) though I get why they are the " weakest " lore wise ^^
I wonder who the strongest class is if we only consider the strongest champion of that class for example the strongest mage could be azshara, strongest DH illidan, strongest druid malfurion ect
they arent turn/transformed by the fel magic. someone like DH would actually be consider a demon. also if they die and goes to the twisting nether then they are a demon too.
Thats why Warlocks easily defeat demon hunters. They dedecate their skills to subdo and break Demons. Demon hunters seal demons within themselves. Wich a Demonology warlock easily abuses. Affiction takes a bit and has to trick and drain the Hunter out of energy. And Destruction well. Felfire won't do to much. But same goes against a warlock. So it Comes to meelee wich will have the DH win.
Trafalgar Water D. Law actually a DH should be able to beat a average warlock because of how fast they are and they are made to fight demons and fel magic.

A Demonology warlock is trained to break and subdo smal quick demons as well as bigger brutal once so far going as far as doomguards. Affiction would be slain if he is to slow , and destro can't do much.
The question of "What qualifies a creature as a demon" is actually a very good one. Many demons of the Burning Legion have been said to be races of alien worlds that were converted into the Legion. One such race would be the Eredar, the race from which the Draenei are exiles of. Eredar (or, as the Draenei call their demon-corrupted brothers, the "Man'ari") we fight in WoW are classified as Demons, and since Archimonde can come back from being killed it's assumed he reforms in the Twisting Nether like all conventional demons. Now, since the Eredar were turned into demons by the Burning Legion, weren't the Orcs also tainted by demon blood that turned their skin green (much like how the Man'ari turned red)? Were the Orcs not fully changed and therefore are not demons? Also, how "demonic" are Demon Hunters, anyway? Not all DHs can reform in the Twisting Nether after they die, only Illidan and (it's presumed) the player character. Additionally, how many of the various demons are the "original demons" that Sargeras had first conscripted into his Burning Legion, and how many are fel-corrupted alien races that later joined the crusade? On another note, just how demonic are the Satyrs? If I recall correctly, Satyrs in WoW are considered Demons, but will they return to the Twisting Nether, too? Does that mean we'll see Xavius again?
idk about shadowpriest not being number one. I feel in my heart its the most sauron type class and should be atleast above mage and probably over warlock too imo.
Death knights are actually remarkably weak (compared to classes such as mages and warlocks, possibly shadow priests as well) on a scale of potential power and lore-wise power, I'm surprised it ranked so high. Also, I have a question about fel and arcane. If fel is disorder and a mix of light and shadow, then is arcane also a mix of light and shadow because it is order? They are both a different balance, perhaps? If so, wouldn't this make fel=arcane=void=light? This question also merely applies to the maximum power of the force itself not the power of those who wield it.

Shadow priest should be #1 or at least above warlocks. I mean Sargerus himself pretty much controlled all the fel just to try to destroy Azeroth and the old gods because he knew how balls to the walls power the void was. I mean a still sane shadow priest would probably be below a warlock but one that just gets completely corrupted and is fully controlled by void chaos will shit on anything because they pretty much loose a physical form and cant really be destroyed.
Tbh, warlocks will dabble in whatever sources offer them more power, they are into fire/fel/shadow/void/summoning/demons (and turning themselves into one, which was removed ingame just for gameplay reasons, but was never lore wise retconned, see Kan'rethad Ebonlocke) whilst shadow priests are only into shadow/void. I agree with Doron's list overall. Imo, you shadow priests can't compare to mages, because if you look at them in a way that they are masters of fire/frost/arcane/time/necromancy (lore wise, some mages dabbled in necromancy as one and the only forbidden path mage can undertake) you will see that they are much in power to warlocks rather than a shadow priest. Against DHs who managed to pull a higher spot in the list is debatable...
I said *lorewise*. mages have been around for just as long or longer than warlocks. Lorewise mages are also INCREDIBLY powerful and intelligent. Demon hunters are also quite powerful but they could never compare to the intellect or tactical judgement of the mage.
Did some research to back my mage vs warlock timeline claim: mage & warlock are just about the same age, as titans have existed since the very beginning of the universe and specialized in not only arcane magic (mage) but nature, elements and life as well (shamanism, druidism). Demons have also existed for as long as we know, which means fel magic has been used for nearly as long as arcane. Warlock predates the demon hunter by a country mile as Illidan is only ~10,000 years old and he essentially created the class (according to new lore, that is).
and the strongest physical class is easily the death knight; they are immortal plate-wearing killing machines created at the hand of the Lich King who grow in power with each soul they take. Demon hunter should not be nearly as high on the list as they are.

Queen ashzara with the magical source of the well of eternity could easily defeat most warlocks and eredar warlocks. Hi everyone! We have a small correction on the list. The warrior has the power to turn into Titan, so he should be the same as the others,Rogue(or we can say Ninja) uses shadow magic so you know what is ninja power , so they should be added to the list, the power of Titan and shadow magic are much stronger than others. . ;)
Shadow Priests actually don't just draw from Void energy. It has been stated that all Void is Shadow but not all Shadow is Void. Take a look at Anzu, the Raven Lord, he uses Shadow magic but it isn't drawn from the Void, you also have Dusk Priests for the Blood Elves and the Raven Priests of the humans, they don't use Void Energy but rather Shadow Energy. I personally enjoyed the Shadow Priests BEFORE Blizzard decided to introduce the Sanity bar and all the Void shit to their direct spell rotation. I very much preferred the Shadow Orbs, I found it more interesting both game mechanically and lore-wise, it gave the Shadow Priest more mystery and fear behind them unlike just knowing they use Void.

I actually doubt, that Deathknights are as powerful as many seem to believe. First things first: Arthas is not just a deathknight, he's the Lichking, the Essence of Ner'zhul has merged with his, his powers are far beyond anything the "casual" deathknight may ever dream to achieve. Next thing: there must be the difference between Necromancer and Warrior Deathknights. And here's the thing, of course these are stronger than their casual counterparts, (Necromancers and Warriors), but I think not that much stronger. Alone the attack on the chapel, where the knights attacked in full force, and yet struggled with casual lower paladins, even with a powerful blade (ashbringer). Question about their power is, what is actually just game mechanics, and what is lore? - I'd even say, that paladins would rank higher. A pure paladin not corrupted by a single unholy thought and truly believing in his cause would be a terrifying wall of steel and light.
How to make warlocks and demon hunters powerful. Step 1: Get them in one place. Step 2: Summon a demon. Step 3: Feed the demon to the DH. Step 4: Repeat until the DH has so much fel power nothing can kill them.
In the start I got abit offended on my Death Knight when demon hunters would say "I've sacrificed everything. What have you given" - how about... My ACTUAL life - What have YOU given!?
Being a DK fanboy,I can deal with number 5. I just don't understand why so many DK players are hurt by this top 10 and act like spoiled children. I mean,an anti magic shell can stop regular spells,for sure,but it would be delusional of me to think it can to stop a warlock, who can literally punch holes through realities with his spells. I mean,the most powerful DK was clearly Arthas. But compare him to Archimonde,or Kil'jaeden(Who even Ner'zhul himself feared)? No chance. I ask the WoW playerbase to forgive these specimens,they just make our class look bad.
What about rogues ? They are not extremly good fighters but still manage to know some tricks. But with legion subtlety is starting to use some "spells ?" though I don't know what type of magic this **** could they be potentially powerful ?
Warriors should be on here. Garrosh? Grommash? Anduin? These guys have so much importance in the Lore. Warriors are so incredibly important. Being able to kill any opponent without needing any fancy magic

Hey Doron, how do you feel about a Death Knight, that's also still in touch with the light? In the Legion Death Knight order hall after some progression in their class quest, you remake the four horsemen, with one woman, Inquisitor Whitemane from Scarlet Monastery . It's almost like a Death-Priest? Because in the order hall, at least, she is still in touch with her light magic, as one of her abilities is her famous "Arise my champion" which is pretty much a priests Resurrection spell. It's a little off key to go on abilities like that, but if she's still in touch, somehow, with Light magic even in death, would that make her a different kind of "Death Knight" considering she wasn't much of a warrior.

How would druids be completely useless in a wasteland? In the War of the Ancients trilogy, we read countless amounts of times about how Malfurion used seeds that he carried with him to attack him foes. Druids should still be able to carry seeds in pouches anywhere they go. And don't forget, they can shape-shift also when they are in an unkind environment.
He means by most of there ability as in a lore reason. Like roots comming out of a dead corrupted ground can happen but in lore its very rare you could see that.
as long as a druid is keeping seeds on him he should be able to do fine, but he will ALWAYS be more powerful in lush areas full of life. Or areas where the barrier between the emerald dream and the true world is thin, like in Tirisfal, a dead area, but the connection to the emerald dream around that place is thin enough for druids to tap into it's powers without a lot of problems.
He's talking base stuff. No seeds, and no theoretically ability to use other sources of natural magics. Granted we do know they have some form of elemental manipulation and can still do SOME stuff in a wasteland. Once a druid takes root, you cant drive them out.
Plus shapeshifting...Most druids who focus on offensive side of druidism except some lore chars aka malfi tend to use shapeshifting instead...Which are NOT normal animals...

For starters, players use their druidic powers in wastelands consistently, they can magically grow life from near nothingness. Second, a powerful archdruid like Malfurion can create a forest in even the most tainted lands. WC3 has shown that, as the Night Elves grew their fortifications using druidic magic.

Doron, I am pretty biased here but I think you're selling monks pretty short. To me it seems like you think, or atleast explain them as, these martial artists with a little bit of magic. That's a very big simplification. I mean they have a lot of defensive, offensive and healing magic. They have a lot of speed, strength and durability. I mean if brewmasters are like anything like they are ingame (spells) then they could probably take quite a few spells before going down, that being if they didn't just run up to the magic user and kill them already. They also aren't always close range; they have spells like jade lightning, breath of fire and probably another i'm forgetting. Originally the Pandaren had to fight massive stone creatures, so its not unfair to assume that that strength they get from using their Chi is powerful enough to break creatures like that. It also seems Windwalkers are VERY quick, taking from ingame you could say their speed was a little under if not rivaling a DHs. Much like DHs I could imagine they could close in on their foe before they could cast a spell, or swing a sword, and even if they did, they could probably just take the brunt of the blow and continue their attack, and if they're wounded they could try to drink a brew or heal.
I know this argument is fairly flawed as i'm going off ingame spells a lot, but with the lack of lore and examples for monks I don't really have anything else to take from, and maybe that's why you put them pretty low on your power list. All in all I think Monks are one of the more powerful classes, mostly because of their superhuman physical attributes and their ability to stop magic from harming them, or just stop it from being casted. That's not mentioning their other abilities like healing or elemental magic.

he got cocky and misstep which left him open for a moment which arthas took advantage of and wounded him and won the duel
savage, but also true, taking on how Illidan came out against Arthas, but I think there were other factors for it to happen
I'm gonna take the frozen throne as the true canon source and say that illidan lasted about 10 seconds against arthas.
Sorry but no way is the maximum power a demon hunter can ever achieve anywhere close to what the top tier mages can bring to the table. In fact Illidan's greatest feats were him using his mage abilities, not demon hunter powers. Mages are capable of absurd things like making cities float, open portals between worlds, melting Northrend, time manipulation and turning a entire population into ghosts for 10,000 years, etc.
These were with some specific people who had specific sources of power.thats not to be included here.as such shamans who are very strong like thrall with doomhammer they r not exactly that comparable considering thrall literally broke the elements dark curse in Parrish hold and still battle.

Based on the lore, I think Void > Fell or Light > Arcane > Elemental or Nature > Melee (Kinda tricky but Void is definitely the strongest given that even Sargeras had a hard time dealing with partial void power. Nobody in the warcraft faced the full power of void yet)
This is kind of late lol but the channel owner did mention that the warlocks use both fel and void powers. Also the problem with void is that its something only effectively usable by the voidlords themselves, and just somewhat for shadow priests.
I thought this was a list of classes the exist in lore like necromancer.
Originally I wrote the script for the necromancers, shadow hunters and a few other strictly lore classes. Ended up scrapping it as the list was very awkward and some very powerful classes were higher on the list than they should have been.

except by lore demon hunters ARE still able to shift their fel sight to be able to see 'ordinarily'...so technically all they sacrifice in exchange for their power is the risk of becoming evil if the demon within corrupts them fully and their former lives/social status.

To be completely Honest Priest shoud be on the top. Followed by warlocks and mages. Simply because these 3 classes use the most powerful set of magic. Mages use Arcane( Order) Warlocks wield Fel ( Disorder ), whilst the priest wield the 2 Fundamental kinds of magic. The Light and the Void. This is the only class that wields the 2 oppsoites of the coins.
For example
Mages Arcane which is the opposite of Warlocks Fel ( Order and Disorder)
Druids wield the power of nature and life whilst Dks wield death and decay
Shamans wield only the elements which is the weakest magic of them all
Now come the non magic classes
AKA Hunters Rogues, Warriors even those classes show super human powers but limited to their physical prowess
And Paladins and Demon Hunters
Paladins are priest that trained like warriors but know only Holy Magic
Demon Hunters are strictly trained to fight demons, (becoming one) meaning Warlocks are there superiors because they control demons, whilst the DH is one.
And Priest are the one and only class
That wields the two most powerful yet opposite kind of magic
Light and Void from these 2 came all the others its like the Big Bang and in wow, when they collide they created everything else.
Although we know almost nothing about the Void. We know that the Void lords are the most feared beings in existance. Meaning their magic is the most potetn equal to the pure light (holy)

Paladins and whoever has control over the void energies are the strongest clases.
Arcane and fel are equal. But arcane is very corruptive so the mortals who wield fel tend to be more powerful than those who wield arcane magic (in terms of pure damage - not 'utility' etc)

I think it has to do with how much Void a SPriest can safely channel vs how much Fel a Warlock can utilize without dying.

I really think the video doesn't pay enough attention to the Druid class. The shapeshifted forms are not just animals, they are avators of their gods, made in their image. The Druids don't entirely rely on nature damage, they have the power of the sun, moon, and stars. The Druid's power is more powerful than you think.
Why won't you get it Doron? DKs were created wit one and only purpose - to overpower mages. Meaning they ARE MORE POWERFUL. DK can easily beat any caster and melee class with exceptions of Demon hunters (that would be close fight) and Warlocks.

Actually Dk would have harder time with paladin than dh. Cause dh can do some strikes but they will prove useless againts the dk, while dk can outlast the dh and mess them up using blood magic or just feeze them to death. Paladins on the other hand are a very powerfull foe and it all depents on the land where they are fighting and on the skill (mostly of the skill of paladins as dks are not even given the chance if they are weak)
A clear favoritism has been shown in here. While you state "lore classes" you ignore the actual "lore" of the classes and there is a lack of measuring.
Shamans In the books and in the game are not wusses that become useless the moment the elements are not feeling like it. A lof of them were experienced warriors before they started tapping in the power of the elements. This can also be seen in the hand to hand combat prowess of the class.
Druids - Emerald dream and gods. Ignored that, and a lot of power/weakness has come to the druids from the powers bestowed from there. I would not say that the savageness they have or the ability to drop moons are also considered "weak if not in a forest". This is excluding the capabilities they have to use other sourced of power (Firelands, anyone?)
Paladins - PRIEST WERE NOT WEAK. They were the only healers that the Kingdom of Lorderon had and were cherished. A order of the priest stationed in Nortshire raised to arms during the first orc invasion, in order to combat the warlocks and the First DK generation. You also ignored that the light is mostly neutral about the affairs of mortal, hence the scarlet crusade had paladins and priests. (Blood Elfes were also rather strange light users) The biggest weakness of both classes is that they are mortals, that are able to bend and twist the light. This is also applied to the Naru.
DK - The biggest asset of any DK is not they runic power, the fact that they are undead, the saronite armor or the spikes on shoulder pads. It is the facts that only they were picked from Arthas, among the best soldiers of different wars. It was referenced a lot of times (including the passive "veteran of the 3-rd war") and in Legion they raise some of the best heroes the horde and alliance had. Issue - they are not living. They lack morals. They can become the next scourge if they deem fit at any given time.
And you pick some of the most edgelord classes for the top picks, even though each of them has failed on numerous occasions? Did you forget that even the best of them were put down, massacred and treated like mad dogs? What is the merit of power if you can't control it? Just because Blizz decided to blow the "illidan was good all along" whistle, does not remove what we saw at the black temple.

Everyone is entitled to personal opinion, but that does not make them immune to critique. If you poke around the full Druid Lore - the characters you play are mister good shoes, but Druids in general are not like that.

If Druids for any reason do not use the original source of power (The Emerald Dream), they become akin to Warlocks.
Edit there is also the part about shape shifting and druids... Broll Bearmantle was one of the most dangerous druids and companion of Varian while using exclusively his Bear form.
Two things: One, Illidan was not good all along. No one said that. He was just a dick doing what he thought was right for the right reasons in the wrong way. That never really changed. He just failed, that's all.
Second, I agree with you, his picks were bad. You didn't mention mages, but I will. They are the creators of the Guardian of Azeroth, one of the most famous beings (although it's a title and heritage more than an actual person) in all of Azeroth and a tremendous help towards safe-guarding the world, they are capable of teleporting whole cities and suspending them in the air, knocking out armies with numerous spells and so on. He puts them far too low on this list for all that they have accomplished.

I think either Bard or Shadowknight has the strongest lore in Warcraft.
The thing about shadow priests, specifically, is that to draw more power, they have to put themselves at greater risk, potentially fully losing their minds and becoming corrupted or consumed by the void. So they can draw tremendous power... in theory. This is reflected in both their insanity mechanic, and that one talent that straight up kills you (surrender to madness). Oh, and unlike warlocks, who just end up joining the Legion if they become corrupted, shadow priests just generally become a danger to everyone else, if they live. They become just like the void, pure chaos.
Before watching, Im guessing warlock, mage and DKs are top 3, with Warlock taking the crown. Infintite power op!
I've got a bit of an unusual opinion here, but I think warriors should be pretty high up here, because if casters get to use magic powers that aren't theirs, then warriors should get the benefits of the powerful weapons, like the ones of broxxigar, or that one Aldrachi guy, both warriors and the only two beings to harm sargaeras

One thing to note about DH's.. to even become a DH they likely had to be some of the best Thalassian or Kaldorei warriors prior to their transformation. And say what you will but a human warrior who trains for 30 years has nothing on a Sin'dorei thats been at it for 200 hundred... not to mention Kaldorei that may have been one for thousands. As a fencing instructor IRL imma tell you mele is 100% all about practice..... Add to that the insane power gains they get from transforming and DH's are absolute stompers in the lore.... I mean.. Illidan literally manhandles Gul'Dan... and the DH is much closer to Illidan than the DK was to ARthas.,
In all honesty, I would place warriors on 10th or 9th. They're very basic in terms of lore, but they are also one of the few classes only relying on pure strength rather than channeling strength from the light, fel, arcane, or even a pet. In term of lore characters we have some of the strongest characters (Odin, Garrosh, and I would guess Sargeras pre-corruption) so in terms of pure strength and not ability warriors are incredibly strong. Unlike the warlock whose bodies often weaken due to corruption

Varok Sourfang - was a beast in all wars, Grom Hellscream - Killed the most powerful pitlord, Varian Vryn - Best alliance king who was strong as a wolf, Broxigar the Red - Damaged a fcking Sargeras, and many more amazing warriors, I bet they have way more lore approval than for example Hunters

Warlocks are basicly the class with no limits that tap in fel and the void. Can practice necromancy, subdo demons as strong as the eredar twins when being a cult. Were once able to use a own Kind of metarmorphosis in wich they create a exo Skeleton of Magic wich strenghened their meelee by far and allowed them to fly with wings. Can heal themselves during fights by just draining life energy and turn it into a spell. Break banish and enslave everything demonic and also void creatures. And when you look at the strongest known Warlock Kil'jaeden. Many more things.

This list was pretty accurate until the last five. Warlocks would be tied or just behind Paladin and shadow priest which would be number 1 with the recent additions to lore. Paladins are vessels of the light (Excluding Tauren) and much like a shadow priests have no almost no limit to what they can achiev if they delve deep enough into their craft. Death knights were litterally the bane to anything excluding warlocks and yet paladins in lore are a huge counter to the death knight. The only class that could possible keep pace with either the shadow priest or a paladin would be a demon hunter or lock. And since a paladin does not have to basically lose control of themselves to gain such unimaginable power (Like the other 3) they can easily dwarf the others. The only one who could possibly keep pace is a DH if they are strong willed enough.
Actual 6-10 is Mage, death knight, shadow priest, locks, Demon Hunters, Paladins.
Warlock's can as well tap into the power of the void. Can summon voidwalkers/voidlords as a pet...

I personally would have put Paladins at the top, but mostly because the Light has basically just gone and said "Hey fuck you" a few times and been completely OP. For example, when Mograine and the horsemen invade the Sanctum of the Light to get Tirion's corpse, the Light just goes "Nah fam fuck off". Seeing as the Light is based almost entirely off of belief in terms of how powerful it can be in the hands of those who use it, I'd say it has the POTENTIAL to be the most powerful, but only if the belief of the wielder is strong enough.

Death Knights are way too damn low. In the lore, Death Knight are pretty much immortal to the point where the only way of really killing them is to blast them into tiny pieaces. Not only that, but all of them wear saronite armor, a metal that drives the living to insanity by simply being around the stuff. Not to mention the fact that these fucks have no weaknesses outside of holy magic and even then it's a weakness they can overcome simply by nullifying said magic or crushing their opponents skulls before they have a chance to chant.
Like it or not, but lore wise there really are no classes that can tangle with Death Knights and paladins.
paladin? i raise you a pyromancer or shaman with some lava, use his armor against himself, there's a reason full plate armor wasn't all that common IRL, it had quite a few downsides, and for death knights, a paladin should be able to 1 on 1 that shit, as that's exactly what they're supposedly trained for
yes but mages, locks and spriests continually learn and will figure out a way for the weakness. That is what mages do with arcane. think of them as professors and the R & D type.
Not true. I main a DK, and in-game and in-lore their power level is never low but can vastly differ per death-knight.
Blood: Blood is the classic terminator. The entire idea is a juggernaut that you just can't kill. Through the use of blood magic & other tricks, blood DKs constantly heal their injuries while preventing more from occurring with magic like anti-magic shell, bone shield, and icebound fortitude. All of these have been used by various NPCs. The blood DK is at it's finest when the mitigation & leech out-paces incoming damage, as they can keep going indefinitely while anyone who isn't undead is going to get tired/drained. A master blood death-knight doesn't kill champions, he kills the entire !@#$ing army by himself, which is something no other class or spec can do. The catch is that while blood DKs are incredible at taking out those that are weaker than them with their mastery of sustainable death-dealing, they are highly vulnerable to focused fire. The moment you out-pace both self-healing & mitigation you have gone from no chance at victory to a !@#$ good one.
Unholy: Entirely depend on the DK in question. Mastery of biological warfare, undead minions, and shadow-magic means that a very clever death-knight will do far better than one with 10 times the power but half the brains. The DK in question may also focus on quality over quantity, quantity over quality, minions that exist solely to support their mastery, autonomous armies with fanatical devotion, or in theory no minion at all! These guys can not only give the royal apothecary society a run for their money, their exotic shadow-magic and undead break the rules of conventional necromancy meaning the improperly prepared are in for a !@#$ of a surprise.
Frost: The spec I know the least about. Still, General winter is never a bad ally. This DK is far better in northrend than stranglethorn, but even in tropical areas being un-prepared for a gust of augmented arctic wind is going to hurt.
In terms of synergy, Blood DKs synergize extremely well with discipline priests because of their similar doctrine of healing through killing the enemy, and actively preventing damage from occurring in the first place. Both suffer from the same weakness, but when you combine the two anything short of a tactical nuke isn't going to do more than !@#$ them off from the sheer amount of active mitigation and life-leech the two are using. Give me 10 blood DKs and 5 Disc priests, and Mardun is as good as ours. That's the kind of power the two can achieve working together.

Warriors and rogues are in general very weak classes, so they don't get into the list. There are rly only a few beeings that achieved to be almost unstopable. For example Varian Wryn who was the leader of the alliance. Or Broxxigar, who managed to wound the titan Sargeras with an axe. Grommash Hellscream killed Mannoroth in Wc3 ALL 1 BY 1! So, there are strong warriors out there, don't know that much about rogues though :'D

I know no one cares about my comment but as a guy who played Warcraft 3 and actually read some Warcraft lore pages on wiki sites I can say that Demonhunters and Death Knights a nearly equaly strong (see fight between Illidan and Arthas). Paladins are the Holy warriors and do actually really good versus the bad guys like DK and Warlocks (the Ashbringer is a powerful weapon and if used by a Paladin ... play the DK quest to the end and see it yourself). Druids are very strong and there is not much to say about that (hello Cenarius OP?!) I agree with the top tier class Warlock (Lord Archimonde and Gul'dan is enough as a reference). So in a list its like this:
S+ Tier: Warlocks
S: Druids
A+: Paladins, Demonhunters, Death Knights,
A: Mages, Shamans
B: Warriors, Hunters, Rogues, Monks, Priests

If you take all the strongest member of each class and compare them the list is somewhat different.
Warlock : Gul'Dan
Monk : Shaohao (he's probably a very unique case for monks but He's OP as fuck and we are talking about the extreme potential of each class)
Hunter : Rexxar or Nathanos Blightcaller
Warrior : Varyan or Broxigar or Grommash
Priest : Prophet Velen ? Tyrande ?
Mage : Aegwynn or Medhiv
Shaman : Thrall
Paladin : Uther or Tyrion or Alexandros Mograine
Death Knight : Arthas (before becoming LK)
Druid : Malfurion
Rogue : I guess the main members of the rogue order hall like Garona and shit.
Demon Hunter : Illidan
Now organize these bad boys according to who would win against who.
1) DK 2)DH and Mage 3)Monk but only because of Shaohao 4)Warlock and Paladin and Shaman 5)Druids and Priests 6) Warriors 7)Rogues and Hunters.
Because hunters and rogues don't seem to be able to do much against really powerful opponents whereas warriors like Broxigar and Grommash or Varyan manage to kill or hurt extremely powerful foes by themselves. Druids and priests are versatile and stuff and though shadowpriests seem powerful we haven't seen them do much. They can mind control people and stuff but they still seem frail. Also healing isn't very useful to slay an enemy.
And druids are cool but i feel like transforming into a cat or a bear is sortof weak compared to using the powers of the sun and the moon to burn your enemies. I feel like Malfurion would get bodied by Thrall or Uther or Gul'dan.
For the fourth place i mostly think it's hard to put one of the classes above the other because they all have incredible feats of strength :
- Paladins have "breaking Frostmourne and defeating the LK, winning alone against an army of undead"
- Shamans have "earth warder and slaying Deathwing and crushing and iron horde army with one well placed thunder storm blast"
- Warlocks have "summoning fel reavers from the sky and all the crazy shit Gul'dan does.
For the Monks I think that without Shaohao they are at the same level as hunters and rogues. But Shaohao is OP as fuck. He puts a magic weather over a continent for thousands of years and overcomes Old God entities.
Mages because Medhiv and Aegwynn are crazy strong and do really weird shit with time travel and dimension crossing and Sargeras fighting.
And i feel like Illidan is just pretty good mage who just became powerful by absorbing the powers of the skull of Gul'dan and demon "gifts". He still got bodied by a weakened Arthas in front of the Throzen Throne though.
And Arthas before becoming the Lich King kills Uther, Sylvanas, he defeats Illidan and Kael'Thas and shit. He's just really fucking strong. He's really way more powerful than all of these mother fucker even before becoming the Lich King. And Tyrion breaking Forstmourne would make a lot of people think Paladins are just as strong as DK's but honestly, Tyrion would have no chance in a 1 vs 1 against Arthas. The reason he got the chance to break frostmourne like he did was because the Lich King put his guard down and also because there was 25 or 10 heroes helping him. So yeah.
Seems like a fair enough list :) Wish you had done an honorable mention of the two remaining classes though (Warriors and Rogues) though I get why they are the " weakest " lore wise ^^

they arent turn/transformed by the fel magic. someone like DH would actually be consider a demon. also if they die and goes to the twisting nether then they are a demon too.
Thats why Warlocks easily defeat demon hunters. They dedecate their skills to subdo and break Demons. Demon hunters seal demons within themselves. Wich a Demonology warlock easily abuses. Affiction takes a bit and has to trick and drain the Hunter out of energy. And Destruction well. Felfire won't do to much. But same goes against a warlock. So it Comes to meelee wich will have the DH win.
Trafalgar Water D. Law actually a DH should be able to beat a average warlock because of how fast they are and they are made to fight demons and fel magic.

A Demonology warlock is trained to break and subdo smal quick demons as well as bigger brutal once so far going as far as doomguards. Affiction would be slain if he is to slow , and destro can't do much.
The question of "What qualifies a creature as a demon" is actually a very good one. Many demons of the Burning Legion have been said to be races of alien worlds that were converted into the Legion. One such race would be the Eredar, the race from which the Draenei are exiles of. Eredar (or, as the Draenei call their demon-corrupted brothers, the "Man'ari") we fight in WoW are classified as Demons, and since Archimonde can come back from being killed it's assumed he reforms in the Twisting Nether like all conventional demons.
Now, since the Eredar were turned into demons by the Burning Legion, weren't the Orcs also tainted by demon blood that turned their skin green (much like how the Man'ari turned red)? Were the Orcs not fully changed and therefore are not demons? Also, how "demonic" are Demon Hunters, anyway? Not all DHs can reform in the Twisting Nether after they die, only Illidan and (it's presumed) the player character. Death knights are actually remarkably weak (compared to classes such as mages and warlocks, possibly shadow priests as well) on a scale of potential power and lore-wise power, I'm surprised it ranked so high. Also, I have a question about fel and arcane. If fel is disorder and a mix of light and shadow, then is arcane also a mix of light and shadow because it is order? They are both a different balance, perhaps? If so, wouldn't this make fel=arcane=void=light? This question also merely applies to the maximum power of the force itself not the power of those who wield it.

Shadow priest should be #1 or at least above warlocks. I mean Sargerus himself pretty much controlled all the fel just to try to destroy Azeroth and the old gods because he knew how balls to the walls power the void was. I mean a still sane shadow priest would probably be below a warlock but one that just gets completely corrupted and is fully controlled by void chaos will shit on anything because they pretty much loose a physical form and cant really be destroyed.
Tbh, warlocks will dabble in whatever sources offer them more power, they are into fire/fel/shadow/void/summoning/demons (and turning themselves into one, which was removed ingame just for gameplay reasons, but was never lore wise retconned, see Kan'rethad Ebonlocke) whilst shadow priests are only into shadow/void. I agree with Doron's list overall. Imo, you shadow priests can't compare to mages, because if you look at them in a way that they are masters of fire/frost/arcane/time/necromancy (lore wise, some mages dabbled in necromancy as one and the only forbidden path mage can undertake) you will see that they are much in power to warlocks rather than a shadow priest. Against DHs who managed to pull a higher spot in the list is debatable...

I said *lorewise*. mages have been around for just as long or longer than warlocks. Lorewise mages are also INCREDIBLY powerful and intelligent. Demon hunters are also quite powerful but they could never compare to the intellect or tactical judgement of the mage.
Did some research to back my mage vs warlock timeline claim: mage & warlock are just about the same age, as titans have existed since the very beginning of the universe and specialized in not only arcane magic (mage) but nature, elements and life as well (shamanism, druidism). Demons have also existed for as long as we know, which means fel magic has been used for nearly as long as arcane. Warlock predates the demon hunter by a country mile as Illidan is only ~10,000 years old and he essentially created the class (according to new lore, that is).
and the strongest physical class is easily the death knight; they are immortal plate-wearing killing machines created at the hand of the Lich King who grow in power with each soul they take. Demon hunter should not be nearly as high on the list as they are.

Queen ashzara with the magical source of the well of eternity could easily defeat most warlocks and eredar warlocks. We have a small correction on the list. The warrior has the power to turn into Titan, so he should be the same as the others,Rogue(or we can say Ninja) uses shadow magic so you know what is ninja power , so they should be added to the list, the power of Titan and shadow magic are much stronger than others. . ;)
Shadow Priests actually don't just draw from Void energy. It has been stated that all Void is Shadow but not all Shadow is Void. Take a look at Anzu, the Raven Lord, he uses Shadow magic but it isn't drawn from the Void, you also have Dusk Priests for the Blood Elves and the Raven Priests of the humans, they don't use Void Energy but rather Shadow Energy.
I personally enjoyed the Shadow Priests BEFORE Blizzard decided to introduce the Sanity bar and all the Void shit to their direct spell rotation. I very much preferred the Shadow Orbs, I found it more interesting both game mechanically and lore-wise, it gave the Shadow Priest more mystery and fear behind them unlike just knowing they use Void.

Where would rogues and warriors be?
I actually doubt, that Deathknights are as powerful as many seem to believe. First things first:
Arthas is not just a deathknight, he's the Lichking, the Essence of Ner'zhul has merged with his, his powers are far beyond anything the "casual" deathknight may ever dream to achieve.
Next thing: there must be the difference between Necromancer and Warrior Deathknights. And here's the thing, of course these are stronger than their casual counterparts, (Necromancers and Warriors), but I think not that much stronger.
Alone the attack on the chapel, where the knights attacked in full force, and yet struggled with casual lower paladins, even with a powerful blade (ashbringer). Question about their power is, what is actually just game mechanics, and what is lore?

I'd even say, that paladins would rank higher. A pure paladin not corrupted by a single unholy thought and truly believing in his cause would be a terrifying wall of steel and light.
They were on holy ground, Light's hope chapel is probably the biggest beacon of light in azeroth next to the Sunwell.
How to make warlocks and demon hunters powerful.
Step 1: Get them in one place.
Step 2: Summon a demon.
Step 3: Feed the demon to the DH.
Step 4: Repeat until the DH has so much fel power nothing can kill them.
In the start I got abit offended on my Death Knight when demon hunters would say "I've sacrificed everything. What have you given" - how about... My ACTUAL life - What have YOU given!?

Being a DK fanboy,I can deal with number 5. I just don't understand why so many DK players are hurt by this top 10 and act like spoiled children.
I mean,an anti magic shell can stop regular spells,for sure,but it would be delusional of me to think it can to stop a warlock, who can literally punch holes through realities with his spells.
I mean,the most powerful DK was clearly Arthas. But compare him to Archimonde,or Kil'jaeden(Who even Ner'zhul himself feared)? No chance.
I ask the WoW playerbase to forgive these specimens,they just make our class look bad.

What about rogues ? They are not extremly good fighters but still manage to know some tricks. But with legion subtlety is starting to use some "spells ?" though I don't know what type of magic this **** could they be potentially powerful ?
Warriors should be on here. Garrosh? Grommash? Anduin? These guys have so much importance in the Lore. Warriors are so incredibly important. Being able to kill any opponent without needing any fancy magic

Hey Doron, how do you feel about a Death Knight, that's also still in touch with the light? In the Legion Death Knight order hall after some progression in their class quest, you remake the four horsemen, with one woman, Inquisitor Whitemane from Scarlet Monastery . It's almost like a Death-Priest? Because in the order hall, at least, she is still in touch with her light magic, as one of her abilities is her famous "Arise my champion" which is pretty much a priests Resurrection spell. It's a little off key to go on abilities like that, but if she's still in touch, somehow, with Light magic even in death, would that make her a different kind of "Death Knight" considering she wasn't much of a warrior.
