One of my first signature scents. Used to buy everything from yhe line, the shower gel, lotion etc. A classic and don't care what some say, I'd still wear this one.
I recently bought the same reformulated 75ml version with the blue atomizer. As soon as I sprayed it I knew it was different because I still have a near full bottle of the Original. The biggest difference in them which you didn't point out is the Original has Oakmoss in it whilst the reformulated version doesn't. When you have both versions of this in front of you the Original is far superior. Without the Oakmoss you don't get longevity like the Original. As soon as you smell the Original good memories and nostalgia hits me hard in a good way.
Man I remember there was a cheap cologne that Walmart sold back in the 90s that got me more compliments then anything I’ve ever worn I can’t remember the name tho 😟
Update* I purchased a new bottle- I got inspired based on your review, & I must admit, it smells very similar to how it did in the past. All that “it ain’t what it used to be” talk is just over exaggeration per usual. It smells damn good to me!
My single favorite fragrance of all time! Owned a bottle of this back in 95-96 and currently own two, a 75ml & 125ml (my 75ml is a vintage with the old silver atomizer while my 125ml is a reformulation with the blue one). Vintage or reformulation, this one will *always* be in my collection. I wear it all year around except winter and think i'll wear it as my sotd. Looking to purchase Polo Blue Sport as well cause it reminds me a lot of the classic but Polo Sport is the 1st fragrance I truly fell in love with and still takes me back when I wear it. It's the 90s in a bottle.
Got a bottle from Marshall’s a few weeks ago. Sprayed it on and walked passed the wife and she immediately said she like that one. Over 200 colognes and she finally complimented me on a fragrance I wore in High school 1994. Lol 😂
Man....you definitely brought back some fond memories with this one, Ross!! Back in the mid 90's, this was my gym scent in college and I might just have to revisit this scent to take me back to the good old days!! Well done, sir!!

This will probably show my age.... but I grabbed a bottle of this as SOON as it was released!! I was 22 yro then. Had a few bottles throughout the 90's. Anyway, I bought another bottle a few months ago, and it does smell the same, but doesn't perform the way that I remember. Hell, I got a bottle of Polo Crest when it came out. I was 17. I think I've figured out why people claim that every single old fragrance lasted a lot longer. I think when people where younger they'd just spray, but now with everyone listening to UA-cam videos they're stuck on this 3 to 4 spray mindset. I still get good performance out of things like Cool Water because I'm not counting sprays. But this I one I'd love to get. I don't remember from back in the day. But I do love the older style fresh scents.

Loved RL Polo Sport, my dad's signature scent as he just recently finished his vintage bottle I got him RL Ultra Blue to replace it cuz current formulations Polo Sport aren't the same quality. My bottle of AP Aqua Quorum is a nice cheap alternative and it's a mix of Polo Sport and Aspen/CW 😎
Definitely agree with you in the "you had it or one of your friends had it". Around that time there was two separate and distinct camps, you were either Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger or Polo Sport. Hallways in schools probably still have those smells embedded in the paint. Edit: Forgot to include Nautica Competition. Man why can't they bring that fragrance back!

Try Gamer from Alexandria Fragrances. They smoothed it out and it smells more elegant and modern, but same vibe. It performs better. I have been wearing and I can't believe nobody is talking about this one.
For me it was Gravity and Fathom by Coty and of course Polo Sport were my go to fragrances and the Original Coolwater which i still own and have a backup bottle to.😎👍

Got this one in the mail the other day , discovered it in the mailbox early in the morning , so of course , i sprayed 2 sprays on my wrist. When I made it to the office 2 houre later , my boss spoke to me , telling me that he and others could smell cologne off me. ( Sadly we have a scent free policy) So the performance can't be all that bad if almost 2.5 hours later, I received a warning for bothering people with 2 sprays on 1 wrist. polo sport, tommy and curve all take me back to middle and high school... also nautica competition in the blueish gray bottle was also really good and thats one you dont really see anymore.
I'm 37 too. I remember guys in highschool wearing this one or Acqua di Gio, Curve, or Tommy Hilfiger. I've always thought Versace Dylan Blue had a similar scent to Polo Sport. Is it just me?
@@TLTGReviews ....ok...let me say i ordered a bottle about a couple of months ago and i was very saddened that it is weaker....i remember it being stronger....it to me was the smell of summer...i would always get a bottle during Father's Day at Macy's and i would get freebies...like a free bath towel that i wore to the beach...then one year i remember getting a free gym bag...then no more gifts with purchase....sigh..i thought i would have the most beautiful memories at the 1st spray...but nope...i am disappointed...i guess i will have to just be more aggressive about refreshing...i will not recommend it to anyone however....
Polo Sport, Tommy, Issey Miyake Pour Homme and Claiborne Sport were my fragrance rotation back in the late 90's/early 2ks. Polo Sport used to last forever as did all of those fragrances

I got this, and its not the same as the original formula from the 90's. I got rid of it almost immediately. It used to smell deeper and more intense. Now its more synthetic and plastic-y.

The reformulated version by L'Oreal products LLC smells like laundry detergent and fabric softener with absolutely no longevity at all. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy the new version with blue spray atomizer. It's complete garbage.💯

L'Oreal bought out Cosmair Inc. and then did this tacky,weak reformulation, and they 💯% made it this way so they would sell more bottles because they knew people would spray more and more which equals more sales. I have a massive collection of fragrances and I'm buying more and more vintage fragrances because so many of the new Fragrances are all so similar like sweet vanilla syrup and people are falling for it. I don’t know about Middle East, but as someone who’s also been searching for the OG vintage, I’ve heard Gamer by Alexandria is the exact same as the OG, and maybe even better
I switched between Tommy and POLO Sport and Safari but Polo Sport was a super beast back then.. Ilove it but am really loving Gold Blend and pretty much all POLO now.
I used to use this a lot. Got my first bottle half full in 98 or 99 from some dude that was a friend of a friend for like $8. Got another bottle or two after using that one up and stopped using it after that. A couple weeks ago I saw my bottle and sprayed it. I did not like it. I thought maybe it went bad and threw it out. Does it go bad? Maybe it wasn’t bad and I just got old.
Ironically I walked into Marshall's earlier and bought this based off of how OG it was. I've only been collecting for a yr and some change. The scent itself isn't the problem. Don't crucify me, but.. It smells like a Skywalker and Prada L'homme had a child. A child you would expect so much out of. Now they're 43 living in the spare room at a cousin's house.. It does come off very green. I actually find the smell to not be bad at all. It just has no projection and comes off very regular. I may reach for it for a jog or something of that nature. Otherwise. It's just a collection piece.

Just saw it today at a Ross for 36.99. Nice addition to my collection. Wore it back in 95/96 but one of my most favorites was Romance by Ralph Lauren.

I live in the Caribbean, and I just bought a bottle as a work cologne. It lasts 8 hours! I'm not sure if the climate makes it last that long.
