I love how the Yamaha model riders are all tucked down and sitting all the way up against the tank. Arms way up in the air and their elbows at 90 degrees.
Really great, comprehensive, witty review. I could listen to a Weegie all day. Don't change anything. And to all those complaining, Naz Moe, Mark Dennis, Sebastian Rosenbach ( wonder what YOUR accent is like....) et al., your command of English is apparently not as good as you think. That's your problem. The world is not configured to suit you or to compensate for your inadequacies. And by the way, learn some manners.
Nothing wrong with this review. The guy has an accent, so what. At least he doesn't just sound like he is reading from a script as the previous editor at VISORDOWN did. Sounds like he knows his bikes and he deserves time to settle in to the new role. MT07 is a great bike in my opinion, as is the rest of the MT range. Thanks for uploading cheers.
I ride a few bikes last year from big tourers like the Ducati 1200s multistrada to their 959 sports bike but actually ended the season on a 2017 MT07 and really enjoyed it. It’s light and nimble with some good torque. Worked brilliantly on the twisties and no issues keeping up with my mates on various bikes. I would certainly like to try the new 2018 model with the suspension upgrades. Not many changes but let’s face it the bike was already good.
It's not just not homologized for the American ear, much rather it is "not understandable" for basically any ear. As a German I do really like a british accent, but this sounds terrible
Would be nice to hear something more definitive about the suspension and brakes. How do they compare to the higher end competition? And yes, the Scottish brogue was a struggle to understand for my American ears.
I was figuring out it was the Yamaha's, so I checked out the accesories for the mt 07 at the official Yamaha web. There are two windscreens, they're similar, but not quite the same, at least not at the spanish web.
I was going to buy a white one when they were available in the USA, but ended up getting an XSR900 in January. I still haven't seen a white on on video! Where are they all?
Complainers must be prepared for the end of english idiom hegemony! Soon we all will be speaking broken chinese dialects!! Regards from Brasil!! Good review and understandable accent!
It might help if you linked to the written review in the description. www.visordown.com/road-tests-first-rides/first-ride-yamaha-mt-07-launch-report I appreciate that it can't be easy for old print journalists to step in front of the camera.
No I'm not. He speaks perfectly clearly. I'm from London and can easily understand Alan. On the other hand, if people are too lazy to listen carefully then that's another matter. Oh and this is Visordown not MCN btw.
MCN, if you consider this platform reaches a World wide audience, you are in the wrong direction with regional accents. I am British and struggled. You are putting your audience off.

Brilliant review. Brilliant accent. Wonderful to hear something other than the standard RP accent!

I understood the review and I'm not a native English speaker. I think Alan is a nice and knowledgeable guy.
I'm Indian and I was able to understand every word he said..... Yes he has an accent....which is fine.
bud bud
J C I'm not gonna revert to your comment with a racist taunt..... "Nah"...!
Rider'sDen vattt? Why like thattt? I tell you yaa!! Stfu indian!! Go google bob and vagene pics on google.
Everyone has an accent! Where you are from determines your ability to understand!
Scottish guy here laughing at all the comments. His accent isn't even that thick for a Scot!
IgWannA2 I don't know what you're saying. Can you type slower please?
I’m not from the UK and still clearly understood him.

Banditmanuk for him it is you with the accent.
Just ordered new one yesterday with carbon akra, hopefully pick it up Saturday!

Great Review! No complaints with the accent, I actually enjoyed it and thought it was a nice change to everyone else. Keep it up ;)
I loved the accent and the fact that the video is not "homogenized" for the American ear. Good review!
Mike K who cares about America? He’s Scottish and it’s a British website
Exactly... that's what I'm saying!
But how many deep fried mars bars can you fit under the seat? He didn't cover that.
It's not just not homologized for the American ear, much rather it is "not understandable" for basically any ear. As a German I do really like a british accent, but this sounds terrible
Where can I buy what windscreen seen in this video? Anyone? Thanks from the US.
Awesome footage 👍🏻👍🏻
I will only consider purchasing this newer version when they come out with the Silver and Race blue colour scheme, like on the one in 2016.
the pegs sound a little low, although I only heard them scraping with the MCN rider not the yamaha rider in black.
Random Tangent not every motorcycle video is made by MCN
Are there any plans from Yamaha for the Tracer 700 renewal model ? any traction control system for touring would be welcomed ! Nice review
I’m getting a contact drunk from just watching/listening to this...
Would be nice to hear something more definitive about the suspension and brakes. How do they compare to the higher end competition? And yes, the Scottish brogue was a struggle to understand for my American ears.
What helmet wears the all-black-clothes tester?
Anyone know whta's the windscreen of the blue one?
Adrián Díaz its probably the Yamaha brand itself. Ive only seen "mt07/09" on the one from the direct accessories website

BWX It might come next year
Hmm. Yamaha USA website says March 2018.

What language is he speaking?
Excellent reviewer!
I’m laughing at how much people complain of his “heavy accent”... that’s actually very subtle ahaha
Complainers must be prepared for the end of english idiom hegemony! Soon we all will be speaking broken chinese dialects!! Regards from Brasil!! Good review and understandable accent!
To peeps complaining about accent. I'm in the USA (have "accent" or lack of one, like people talking on the news) and understand him just fine.
BWX everyone has an accent... Especially an American person to an English person where the language is derived from...
Accent good. That's my vote. And I'm from 'Murica!
put speed on 0,75 and done, now you guys can hear him more easily :)
1:55 - laughed so hard :D
Why doesnt yamaha bring this bike to india?!

Is this review in English?
yes
Yes.
Alan is a Weegie (at a guess) and speaks perfectly understandable English.
If you can't understand him then the problem's yours, not his.
Nigel Tabb Why ?
Nigel you are wrong. If the audience cannot understand his heavy accent, the problem is MCNs. They are losing audience.
No I'm not.
He speaks perfectly clearly.
I'm from London and can easily understand Alan.
On the other hand, if people are too lazy to listen carefully then that's another matter.
Oh and this is Visordown not MCN btw.
Sucks I have to wait until April for them to be sent to the states
Stephen Beddard could be worse you could have to wait until September to get your licence
Haha imagine a bike that has a throttle and ABS and that’s about it
Damn ur accent mate... 😂
Struggling to understand I am from Melbourne. I know you're Scottish but why?
MARKINAU8 probably because he was born in Scotland.
He had no choice where he was born that's why he's Scottish?
MCN, if you consider this platform reaches a World wide audience, you are in the wrong direction with regional accents. I am British and struggled. You are putting your audience off.
Mark Dennis This is a Visordown vid not MCN. This guy is the new editor at Visordown. I'm British and understood the guy fine.
how they make it uglier
wtf
Super commuter ? Lol
mt07 headlight is gay mate....
Who thinks that the 2018 MT07 is uglier than the 2014 MT07
