Thanks GT, this is the first accessory I will be buying. The Elite strap actually served me well on the Quest 2 but the M3 is the way to go for sure on the Quest 3.
To anyone wondering, I was able to place an order for the retrofit kit yesterday (with ship date of Nov-Dec though) and the price was $15.99.

It's been a day and they've removed it completely from their website and Amazon. I guess they are so backlogged on orders for months that they just removed it so you can't buy them rn. It's a shame, the new quest 3 head strap sucks, in typical meta fashion.

I've had a Frankenquest via the Vive deluxe audio strap since it released and its been awesome. But this M3 looks awesome. A hot-swap battery is what really seals the deal for me.
I got the frankenquest too and I bench etsy will have new 3d printed adapters soon. I like the DAS but I wouldn't say it's perfect and now my vecro is not sticking good so it's taped together haha.

I got the DAS on offer. It's a great strap but I may end up going for this halo strap due to the comfort, the immense amount of people I see using them and the swappable batteries.
So I used to have the Das and I switched to the Bono vr m2. And for my face, it was the most comfortable headset I used from ( vive, index. Das Quest 1 and Das quest 2). For the first time I stopped having pressure on my forehead. So I am definitely getting the M3 for the quest 3

I use a Kiwi strap with my Q2, but I've always wondered about the forehead part of the Bobo straps. Looking at it makes me think I'd get too warm
Yeah, I tried to buy it on Amazon but I couldn't find it in the UK, but I'll follow the stock because it's the single best accessory for me.
I hope they get them in stock soon, I LITTERALLY can't wear the jock strap headband, the nerve pressure pain made me ill before I finished the setup procedure, so it's living on my shelf until I can get a strap.
I picked up the M3 Pro last night on amazon but I have to wait until near the end of the month for it to come unless the delivery date moves up 🤞
I’ve been using the bobovr M2 for about 2 years and it’s always hurt the back of my head. It’s also pretty heavy. It’s good for the price and makes the headset look futuristic. But I recommend just sticking with the elite strap or the original.
You be definitely using the head strap wrong. The bobovr is way more comfortable than the elite strap or the original. It always Hurt the back of my neck to, but there's one sweet spot we're is doesn't Hurt at all and i can play for hours without any pain
i wish other vr accessory makers would follow bobo's example (looking at you kiwi) otherwise ill just switch to bobo and never look back. this is such a pro consumer move and not to mention that it saves plastic waste , really hope bobo dont lose their way
When are they available. I have tried all head straps for Quest 2 and the Bobo M2 Pro is the best by FAR!

Personally waiting for the kiwi design one. My experience with the halostrap on the psvr 1 has put me of from ever buying one. It was extremely uncomfortable.

Great video mate. I'm 100% getting an M3 pro. My original elite strap snapped in half 1 month after i got it, with very light use. Meta sent a replacement, but it was too late, i'd already dipped my toes in the bobo waters. Ill never go back!!!

interested in the bobo m3 (if i can find it instock ever) but ive heard it wobbles a bit - I do a lot of boxing in supernatural and wondering if you can crank it safely and tight enough for more active use?

So glad to hear the positive review on the M3! Just learned about this strap yesterday and was bummed to hear about the stock issue. Ended up being up late and was able to grab one from Amazon when it quickly came back in stock! Super pumped to get it!
Also, any issues with the battery? I’ve heard that the Q3 is more power hungry and that the batteries don’t work as well and have some phantom drain.
Wonder if its better to buy the old version while its on sale and retrofit it or new one at full price. Hmm. Guess it depends on how much the retrofit kit is. The straps look the same.
It'll probably be cheaper to just buy the new headstrap if you don't have the old one already. It's about $12 for the retrofit.
retrofit kit is 16 or 17 dollars, while M3 pro is the same price as M2 pro ($50)... if you dont have one, prolly best to get the M3 pro for the $50 and save 17 bucks
Would also like to see a M1 upgrade kit. I have both M1 and M2, but prefer the stability of the M1.

The M3 just showed up on Amazon this morning, but it's not available yet. I don't even see the conversion kit. One interesting thing to note is that the A2 headphones won't work with the Quest 3 because the headphone jack is now on the other side of the headset. You'd have to have some short wonky adapter cable that goes across with the other cable to connect it to the correct side of the headset. Personally, I didn't like the A2 headphones anyway, but some people will be disappointed that they can't use them with the Quest 3.

Very nice. Now that I can keep my Bobo strap, I'll probably end up giving my 64 gb quest 2 away
I would ask how it compares to the Meta Elite strap with battery but they are trying to charge $180 CAD for the Elite strap which is just ridiculous. Will wait for availability and reviews of the third party products (sadly I saw no m3 yet)

So knowing that the quest 3 was right around the corner i decided to snag one of these (M2 PLUS)... I was going to wait on the Conversion kit but couldnt wait. So I ended up printing 2 adapters so the headstraps could fit.
Honestly game changing when compared to the original strap, I should of bought this a long to ago on the old quest 2.
Buy it if you are able to 3d print temporary adapters or wait on the retrofit kit to become available.
No issues what so ever, being able to hotswap batteries is genius.
I can see why it can be more comfy but not so much for laying down while using the quest for media?
would you consider doing a Binbok review - $99 for two big batteries that fasten via magnet like the bobo, charger, and a knob-tightening head strap and so far I'm liking it, but don't know about the halo vs no halo support; there is still room for improvement on comfort imo; perhaps with a very form fitting interface and halo I could maximize my comfort for wearing for several hours at a time - take that weight off the nose and pressure away from around the eyes. :)
Thanks so much for trying this out and making a video about it. Any chance you could compare it to the official Quest 3 elite strap with battery from Meta? I'm leaning towards this one, but it would be nice to get the official strap from Meta because it fits into their carrying case. I'm not sure this one would. More fan of the elite style strap from Kiwi. Too much wobble with halo straps, end up tighening it or have headset sitting in a way that gives me headache or something.

I modding a DAS to fit the Q3
Really glad to see this is already available for the Q3, Ive got an Index but im looking to get a Quest 3 down the line for a full wireless setup using Virtual Desktop or the Air Bridge dongle if that is compatible with the Quest 3. Love that its got hotswappable batteries, just wondering do those keep the Quest 3 charged up during play? Ive seen a dock for i think three of the batteries and itd be super nice if they kept the headset charged up the entire time theyre in use

I bought the elite strap from meta themselves. 😊 To me that works well to. I don't use extra batteries
If you use mixed reality or want to watch a movie you kinda need one if you don't want to plug in

@@MightyAimetti-1 just do it, it's great. I had a old one on my quest two to. That one broke after almost 3 years of use and meta just send a new one for free. You can always buy a other one later if you want.

Love my Bobo m2 but one battery stopped charging and it kind of defeats the point with just one. But what I wanted to ask was, did they ever add a feature to the batteries when it's almost out of juice? The one thing that annoyed me was to keep checking if it was time to swap. The thing already has a speaker, use it for when it's time to swap!

@@gothicvillasgaming I asked have they updated the battery so it beeps when it's almost discharged instead of having to keep checking. The sell on this product is it's swappable batteries but it doesn't tell you when to swap, you have to keep xhecking

Tbh, I'm not sure I even need this as I can get the stock strap nigh on perfect, might look into another face mask though although I can get it all just right tbh. Absolutely love the headset!

Got mine on order. Amazon updated the delivery date just this morning to Oct 24-26th...Which is not too bad. Before that it was pushing into mid/late November. I read somewhere that the power draw on the headset is higher then what the batteries (of which I have 2) provide so they will drain faster then usual
Ordered mine early this morning and am hoping that the delivery date will move forward. Currently for the first week of November! I’m also curious about the batteries with the Bobo…heard stuff on Reddit about them not working as well with the Quest 3 but would love to see a video on it!

It's really disappointing how Bobo handled this actually. They could have had stock ready and would have made a killing with arguably the best headset out there. Had to settle for a 3rd party 'band-aid' while waiting for the conversion kit to become available and it's actually surprisingly good for $30

Great strap, have the M2+ on the Q2 and now also on the Q3 with the retrofit kit.
Pro tip: If you got the Plus, replace the upper padding of the head cup with the honeycomb thingy. Stays in place better and is still comfy since you'd keep the padding on the lower half.
The only downside I noticed so far: I can't shove the strap far enough onto the headset's arms to have the thing as close up my face as I would love it to be. I basically had a better FOV with "the rag". BoboVR should have dremeled an indent at least to the left holding thing so it could be as far up front as it goes on the other side. Not great that the Q3 isn't perfectly symmetrical in that regard and BoboVR didn't adapt the thing accordingly.
But anyway, it's still a great strap, can only recommend getting it!
my meta elite strap got delayed so I think I'll cancel that and wait for the M3. I hope it's not too far out.

How is it with the meta charging dock? Does it charge the B2’s as well? or do you just charge them separately on the bobo b2’s dock?
Also meta recommends taking the quest 3 off the dock once fully charged as the dock doesn’t have overcharge protection. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks

How is the wobble on these Halo straps? I have tried to do a bit of researching (as I had a Elite strap for quest 2, but am debating on what to get for Q3), a lot of people say that Halo is good for slower gameplay like VRchat, but for FPS games that the Elite strap style is better. Can anyone confirm this?

Thank you for this video. Due to extensive research on UA-cam and Reddit for the best extended battery option I know I will be going with an M3. My experience with the Meta Elite battery strap was pretty good for awhile. It doesn’t charge all the way anymore and as careful as I was with it, it has developed a nasty crack in the arm, common problem. I will never buy or recommend an Elite strap to anybody. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Bobovr, so it looks like my mind is made up.
I'm right there with you, however I've seen a few videos about pros and cons vs Kiwi and the only con I hear for Bobo is if you're doing fast motion it can wobble and also lets a tiny bit more light under front because it's not pressing on your face as much as the Kiwi strap, although I do like the idea of less facial pressure so I'll be ordering the M3 soon as I can - perhaps will also order the Kiwi when they release to test it out, and I can always return that on Amazon 🤷
Also heard that because everyone's heads are so different it could simply be up to that for the pros and cons which makes sense 🤔

I am not going to get the retrofit kit, I want to keep my m2 plus for the quest 2 in case I use or share it. I'll get a new m3 instead. It's nice I can reuse the batteries and charging dock.
I ordered M2 - M3 kit off Amazon then an hour later said unavailable. Said I'm getting it Oct 29th. Hate the stock strap for the Q3. Gives me a headache after a while and doesn't seem like it's sitting on my face right. I have a small head for a 50 year old.
