    Good show, as usual Dave. I enjoyed you telling us a bit of where you came from. I always get a kick out of " This is a video, there is a fish in it, & that makes it a fishin video". Classic, Dave, pure gold. Keep doing them, the way ya do 'em.

    That spot is gorgeous. But I hate being so close to river walks. You tend to get people that will freak out on small fish. Or how big of hook or pole you have. I like the spots that people go to dump bodies or something. Lol

    I sandblast old spark plugs to remove all pollutants. Bend gap closed tightly. Ta dah... A good weight that will dissolve in the river if you lose it. I break the ceramic part off sometimes if they are really dirty..

    My brother catfish is Dave the king of fishing off the bank and the best ever Point Blank boat or no boat it doesn't matter you land the most huge Mungus and most beautiful blue catfish and flatheads I have ever seen a legit OG gentleman and UA-camr ever I love your videos I love the way you explain things I love how you explore different locations and spots and you share this with your fans on UA-cam your followers and you are a killer brother you slaughter them big fish and then you release them which is cool because it helps dim breed for the Next Generation to enjoy but I am glad that when I push the screen on my phone there was an infomercial before it got to your video now I had mentioned before on a comment that I left you I want to hear fishing videos I leave a comment on most of your videos but I had mentioned that I never saw any commercials or infomercials throughout your video and that if you could get commercials are infomercials throughout your videos you would and could make more money off the views on your videos but this is the first time I've ever press the screen on my phone and an infomercial came up for like 25 seconds and I was glad to see that and I'll watch the whole information I let it play out and then I got you video so that you can have some monetary gain off of that when you make good videos and you have Charisma and your OG and you are original people like me will watch The infomercials to generate you more monetary gain so we can enjoy watching you uploading more videos for us to enjoy and learn off of your methods because you are one of a kind and you are the best you have the best videos on UA-cam on how to catch catfish and you catch him in every single location and I've seen them on every video and it is amazing the work that you put into it and then the satisfaction of you catching a fish and like you say this is a catfish fishing video and it doesn't matter if it's a enormous catfish a giant catfish or a 10 lb catfish as long as you caught a fish like you say it is a fishing video love you brother much love all the way from Texas and this is part 2 of Creek Fishing I wash your first part of a I believe a 3 video episode of The Creek Fishing and now I'm fixing to enjoy part 2 keep it comin brother because you are the best I'm off today from work and I'm finna spend time watching your videos today because I am going to go catfishing tomorrow so I'm going to look at multiple videos of yours and you and get some more knowledge and I'm going to try the things that you do and see if they work for me and I'm pretty sure 120% that if it works for you it's going to work for this young man I said young man because I'm old but I can still throw my line out there a good 70 80 yards because I got a 15 foot surf rod I got four of them and I will be using all four of them I'm going to be patient just like you did may take an hour before I get ahead and catch a fish but I don't care I'm leaving at 4 in the morning I should get to my spot and have bait in the Water by 5:20 in the morning at the very latest and I have all freaking day to fish so I'm going to see some of your videos where you are fishing for catfish and try to guesstimate what time you're fishing and what are the things that you do and what bait you are using so I can strategize I'm out fishing and half the same success or better and I see better because to me you are my teacher and I'm learning all for you I'm not a novice I've been fishing for catfish for over 30 years but I'm going to be patient and I will be recording my fishing trip tomorrow so that I can upload my very first UA-cam video and see how that goes I have everything ready I'm just waiting on tomorrow to get here so I can wake up very early in the morning and go cash me some lake monsters in My Hometown in Texas I'm not going to disclose the location just yet it's a trial and error for me but I'm going to try to make my video 2 attract viewers and be original just like you old G and hopefully I'll have the same success as you I have shared your UA-cam videos in my social media Twitter Facebook and I have tagged everybody on my Facebook account which I have over 3,500 followers on Facebook and I have about ten thousand followers on Twitter so if everything goes well I will be like you and my goal is to accomplish what you have accomplished and and please don't be offended but I am trying to surpass you in my mind it is a competition between me and myself and I against the best UA-cam catfish fishing reel on UA-cam which is you mr. Dave nothing personal it's just if I challenge myself I know I will do the best that I can each and every time I go fishing there for with all being said I work 4 days a week I'm off 3 days and I am going to take advantage of my three days being off I have spent today going through my gear I went to the store bought some new hooks I have Reese pools every single one of my fishing rods with new fishing line and I have multiple setups I'm going to figure out which one works for me the best in my city in my hometown in our Lakes and I hope everything goes well for me and I'm going to try to upload the best video possible with quality sound and video just like you I have invested in my cameras in my audio equipment it is very expensive but I hope the outcome will surpass my expenses but most of all it's not I hope everything goes well for me and I'm going to try to upload the best video possible with quality sound and video just like you I have invested in my cameras in my audio equipment it is very expensive but I hope the outcome will surpass my expenses but honestly speaking I am trying to have a second income coming in monthly but I enjoy fishing so much that if I can have a monetary gain doing it then why not and I hope people don't take this as me being rude or unprofessional that is not my intention with all due respect if I have offended anyone or yourself I deeply apologize from the bottom of my heart if I have done so please forgive me that is not my intention people that upload UA-cam videos do it for a reason because they loved it is their passion but also at the same time they do receive a monetary gain and if I can get a monitoring Jame to cover my expenses then that is fine with me if I make more than that I will donate to charity and I will help other people in need so therefore with all that being said I'm going to enjoy your video and I will be going fishing tomorrow I have everything ready I will not be using my boat I will be fishing off the bank just like you because very very seldom do I ever fish off the bank it is something new for me that I have not done in a long time and I will take my small BBQ Grill I will cook out on site because I plan to spend 80% of the day on the bank bank fishing and writing it down what time I'm getting hits and catching fish so that when I further make my videos I can guesstimate the best time to fish and have success just like you you are my hero my inspiration and because of you I have decided to do what I am going to do starting today but tomorrow is the real test thank you very much sir for all the hard work you put in for us your followers your fans to enjoy and watch every single one of your videos thank you sir and have a very very blessed day may God bless you with Good Fortune wealth health wisdom patience and knowledge so that you can share those things with us God bless America the land of the free!!!

    Another great video Dave! I like the fact that you're so versatile you go to many different spots. When I fish at places where there's a railing like that I usually tie my rods to the railing. Just a simple quick release knot.👍 I like the idea of a lighter line on the three-way swivel rig going to the weight. I'm going to use that technique and some of the places I fish that are very snaggy. Tight lines!

    Wow that boat went over your bait, I could see that KOOL. To see that boat go over your cast and the center of that bridge. Was it really good way to judge to see how far you really can throw that bait I wouldn’t want to have my bait ran over by boats all the time it was just cool that I could see your premier advantage point, where you put put that bait.

    A rod tie down cord with a quick snap to a ring on the reel seat clamp is needed in these places. Penn Reel now have them on all their surf size reels. I have used them for over 50 years with great success.

  • @burnham187
    @burnham187 5 років тому +2

    Interesting did not know that basic surfcasting rule about 10lb per 1oz of weight. That would explain why I would break my line when casting my 11 foot rod using 20lb line with 4oz weight. I did upgrade the line to 45lb since and have not had the issue but now I know the specific reason why. Thanks Dave.

    The secret to successful fishing is knowing that fish eat every day. For any given day you just have to know where they're eating.
    Wow.
    I just hit the main drawback in being stuck on the bank. Sigh. We used to go fishing at the mouth of 2nd Creek back in the late 60s and all the way to the mid 80s. Before the World's Fair in '82 people now wouldn't even recognize that waterfront. There was nothing much there. Give me a break. I remember when they expanded the 3rd Creek "Water Treatment" Plant, we called it "The Sewage Plant", across the "street" to the other side of Neyland Drive.
    Speaking of channel cats, I wonder how the catfishing is up the French Broad by where you live? I grew up in Knoxville and never knew anyone who fished that river much past the Forks. We rented a cabin on Douglas Lake one long weekend (Thursday night to Tuesday morning.) during crappie season and slayed the slabs. Had the best fishing weekend of the year. I don't think we slept more than 8 hours total.
    Edit: We had a boat that time.

    Dave, have you ever tried a pulley fishing rig? It pulls the sinker off the bottom when the line is tightened up and gives you a better chance of retrieving your rig with the sinker still attached. You can use it with or without the Gemini Genie Big Bait Rig Clips. You can make the Gemini bait clips yourself from .062 stainless steel wire. You can buy the wire online from fishing supply outlets or use .062 stainless steel tig wire. Sandmans Tackle Time channel has a video of how to make the clips (ua-cam.com/video/UeYtuMD16IY/v-deo.html). You just need to use a little longer piece of wire for the extended big bait clip arm. I have used this rig while fishing for catfish and carp. It is yet another rig to add to your arsenal. Love your catfishing videos!
