Seeing how you have mastered the dragging in a relatively short time from when you were killing Mr whiskers from the bank is a testament to your skills in catfishing! You are the 🐐 of catfishing! Thoroughly enjoy your work and thankful you have brought us all along for the ride! Tight lines brother!!
Tiger won a lot of majors and so did Jack. But have you ever looked at how many 2nd and 3rd places Jack also won over his career - mind blowing. The point being - when you are a master of your craft , you continually put up big numbers whether you catch the mack daddy fish on any particular venture. Catfish Dave boats an amazing number of large blue cats on such a consistent basis. Almost anybody can catch a big one almost by accident once or twice , but it takes a lot of skill to pull in these large fish trip after trip after trip. You are one skilled angler CD - what I dreamed about as a kid but never attained.
I make my own very similar to those. I use heat shrink tubing, put old tire weights in one end and foam caulk filler in the other. Place a big swivel in the end with the foam and heat it up until it seals. They work great for me.
Those were some nice ones there, Mr. Dave. You must have some good reels or your as strong as a bull elephant, cause, it don't seam to take a lot to reel them in. Keep hooking and reeling, Mr. Dave. Take care, God Bless.
Dave l love your videos been watching you for about 3 years loved your information about rods now I would like you to tell me how the planner boards work I have seen people use. Them on videos but would like to know how to hook them to the line I would appreciate it when you have some time
Make your own everyone, it's very easy. 3:1 Adhesive heatshrink tubing, 1/4" Lead wire or shotgun shot, and some sinker slides. That's all you need, and they are the same or higher quality than anything you can buy, plus you can make them custom weight and lengths.
Nice weights I make may own version with lead shot and foam for floatation on the top end to save a little money! They will hang but like you said not very often ! I’ve ask before but got no answer about Tim’s Ford if you have ever fished it ? It looks very good on navionics just wondering if it has good bluecats ?
Yeah I was one of...asking where they came from. I get it guy already got plenty of business! Thanks ! The rate you( me,us) lose them I scaled back my rig . Still catching!
Hey catfish Dave I started following you when you fished of the bank a lot and I learned to use techniques learned from your videos on my lakes! Thanks for all the knowledge you spread to the fishing community. Is there anyway you could share the story of the monster blue you caught from shore?
Thanks for the tackle review! $4.50 is cheap. I enjoy making my own, but by the time I buy the stuff, I probably have $4 in them. (Coiled lead, heat shrink and clip per Fishin N Stuff video - youtuber and a sub to this channel). I also make my own planer boards, but I wish I could find the bigger float material like you have on that B-Kat planer board. I want the float to have more buoyancy to pop the rig up better.
TRIVIA - What is the biggest freshwater fish in the world? The beluga sturgeon in Russia is the largest freshwater fish in the world. The white sturgeon is the largest freshwater fish in North America. White sturgeon have been reported to reach lengths of 15-20 feet and weights of nearly one ton. The second largest freshwater fish in North America is the alligator gar. Wow!
I'm looking at buying a GPS controlled trolling motor for a small boat. When I look for a MinnKota Powerdrive trolling motor, I have found that they do not use GPS. Your trolling motor seems to be a GPS controlled machine. It seems to work well without swinging wildly side to side when spot locked. Was wondering if, maybe, you gave the wrong model name of the trolling motor. Would be nice to know. Love your content. Would like to see more of your bank fishing roots, though. So much tougher. Thanks, Dave!
So what I dont understand about your lakes is for example tonight, I caught a 16lb channel cat. A decent fish in our 10,000 acre lake. We have no blues of size or number here because they were just recently released, but 20 to 25lb channel's are caught here regularly. Do you not have any that size? Cuz they would easily eat those baits.

What kind of weight do you estimate the 2 good fish to be? It's hard to tell by camera shot

Why are most of the boat docks, piers and sitting out of the water ? The banks seem higher than most lakes?
It’s a flood control lake, goes down 30 feet in winter. When it rains hard they can store it instead of flooding everything downstream

Glad you like that bout soon climb a tree myself.
Looks like you’re back on Cherokee, the secret is out.nice fish might c you there.
Those are available on Amazon.
What ounce dragging weight do you use for Fort Loudon most of the time? Thanks for the video.
That’s my question as well! I fish Ft Loudon too
Looks like that lake is really low. Those docks were setting way up outta water.

They see ya motoring and boating...trolling. Tryin catch em dragging dirty. (Spoof of ridin dirty sounded better in my head)
Fishing as I watch this
Hey also, Dirty South uses rhyming phrases to promote their product like you do Dave so they gotta be good!!😂😂
" dont forget to bring a towel ! "
“That’s the beat to funky town” lol
Looks like your planer board repair works
I had no luck Sunday
Can you tell me how to become a better bank fishermen? Do you have any tips you can give me I fish the Mississippi River by st.louis mo
Glad the subs are up. I was hoping you would hit 100k by Christmas. Love the music. Hope the gals at Waffle House don't forget you at Christmas.
Catfish Dave is king shit on the fisherman mountain, Carry On
And I thought Ky Lake was low. Damn
Must be from dirty south Ohio since that's where they are located.
Must be so nice to be away from the limitations of bank fishing. Ain't gotta deal with the homesteaders, confined to one section of water, etc.👍
I hate dragging I like set in one spot relaxing with my feet up in a place with no barges and houses
Looks like You are running out of water in winter pool ! Less places for them to school up,at least !
It's been so dry water is so low going to hit those honey holes
Hello
Can you do a video of Dragon chicken for a bite
Hi people
Unfortunately dragging means a $2500 trolling motor
One thing that I think is that those who fish are those who are good with God
You da man Dave. Bank or boat
