So long as they dont accidentally collect a wl, a wing buff, or go to eden, they are effectively immortal. You can stand in rain or get krilled all day and never be sent to the pity room.

Valley is the most dangerous realm for wingless, because there are many wl that auto collect if you get too close. I never let anyone lead me in valley, not even my main account because i will forget. Thats happened before, and it almost gave me a heart attack hearing the collection sound, but i luckily closed the game fast enough before it could give it to me.

As of Sept 2024, this trick still works! I did it today. I did it solo but instead of warping to friend, I just sat at the shrine right when the wing broke. So just make sure your last location is where you want to go. I was also on iOS. And I couldn’t see the star before logging out like in the video, I just waited until til it got low enough and then sat in the account window to log out until I saw wings drop, then I quickly hit log out. When I came back I was in the dark room and got my one wing, then i got warped to home where I lost that wing and I stood in front of shrine until I saw the wing broke and immediately hit the sit button on shrine and tada capeless! And yes after relogging all my wings came back minus the one that broke. So glad this trick still works!
My friend usually plays on switch although I'm not certain 100% if he can do it on the switch or they are using a phone/tablet 🙃✨ kind of sucks if switch can't do this though

I did on switch the other way, losing all wings till next eden run, and drowning with one wing at home, then returning to previously set location through home altar
For some reason I thought if you went to Eden and avoided all the spirits giving you eing buffs, you could go capelss. I didn't know it was a process like this.
If you go into Eden, it gives you a winged light right before the end credits. That is why you have to watch some of the end credits before skipping them.
i found out another way to do it solo is obv collect the one wl, then go home and go to the realm u want to then go back home and drown and all of that then once the wl shoots out, run to the shrine then once it shatters sit and ur done :D
Si me funcionó, pero, si vas a hogar para ir a otro mapa, apareces en el vacío. Lo bueno es q si ya quieres tener tu capa ve a home, te llevará al vacío , agarra el ala que esta ahí, cierra el juego y cdo abras tendrás todas tus alitas de vuelta, así que puedes quitarte la capa cuando quieras❤
I mean... You can stand in water and lose every single star you have and then go home to lose the last star. It will take a while if you have a lot of stars and you won't get all your stars back by restarting your game. (Because you lost them being krilled, staying in water) not through this glitch ✨

awsom thanks, i needed that, i wanted to try sky on pc but i realiced i cant link my switch account there so i said frik it, wingless account. I managed to finish the game in less than 4 hours (skipping both first worlds by getting to the wind paths early, but goofing around (time loss grr) a LOT), and its actually pretty easy, the only thing is the instant death when getting to the last eden area, and also even worse, they give u 1 wing after coming back home- why :c but now i can fix it (hec ye), and i have my main account to do the thing every time i need it so double hec ye

It could well be a timing issue 💭 I've never experienced this problem 😅 there is another way to do this and it's losing all your stars in the intented way (krill, rain, shards and dark water) but it takes longer and when you reset the game, you don't get all stars back :') I'll do some testing in a bit to see what is happening 🌻
if you saw someone capeless and were not able to light them up then they were probably just a mothe who just started in the tutorial or someone in the dark room. if you were able to light then up then they might have been a hacker or a dev.
When you go home, you'll be sent to the dark room. Capeless only works inside the maps 🍀 if you close the game and start it back up, you'll gain all your stars back ⭐
@@Cheesycaek yeah it sucks but the maps lead into eachother so you can reach each map capeless 😊 the dark room is in the same map as our home area (just hidden behind wind barriers) this is why we get teleported back 😅

I understand that thought! I remember I did it accidentally before knowing what linking account was 💀 LUCKILY I was only a few days in as a moth but this worried me after linking the account 😂 but if you are 1000% linked then when you sign back into the game, it will load up like normal ✨

It's a bit of a pain and you won't get them all back after resetting the game (due to losing them as intended by game design) then you can just do the holding hand or warp trick 🌼

And, if we collect it, will our wings count will be updated to that current number or will be back when we restart the game? Sorry if it sounds difficult 😢
Good question!yes stars in maps are visible. I think you will get all stars again still when resetting the game. Because when testing this trick, i always collected one star to keep retrying this glitch. So I assume you can collect a star while capeless and if you reset the game, you'll get all stars back. Edit - If you collect a star while capeless, you will just have one wing of flight, the number will only reset when we reset the game 🌼
HEAR ME OUT so if u do the solo trick in lsle and then leave lsle u be sent to the the pity room so be careful its not perm and u have to grab a star in the pity room :( i did this with my alt now ima have to get all the stars again 🙃
if there are other people in home then they might try to save you lost winged light therefore making it take longer to successfully complete the glitch and become capeless. having a friend with you makes it a bit easier and they can help keep the server empty.
