i have a 08 cbr, and it is very smooth. ranked the most smooth superbike and smoothest shifting as well. If you want to hear the sound of it more, check out my latest video
I’ve just picked up one of these, same year but all black. 15 minutes into the ride home from the dealership and I got pulled by the cops and given a ticket... it’s just so confidence inspiring. The steering dampener makes the front tire feel like it’s stuck to the road. It pulls in ANY gear
Hey Chase, you should put some kind of rating on the screen and in the description, like: Speed: 8/10 Comfort: 9/10 Handling: 6/10 and for the beginners Beginner Friendly : 8.5/10 ride safe
Yeah, the Honda Fireblade is very SMOOTH! Telepathic handling. Feels light, carries it's weight low. It has an overall refined quality feel to it. I have a 2012. I love it. It inspires confidence. Peak HP numbers don't matter. The total riding experience is what is important, and Honda has got it down to a fine science. When you ride one, you know!
with few mods 182ks on rear wheel and it still rides like 600 i had many bikes and my only ''dream bike'' that i didn't ride is H2,H2R and i can 100% say that sc59 is in top 10 bikes ever made
@frozenf5682 always loved the sc59.. design was pretty futuristic but only for the fairing/body design. That small sleek tail holds up til today in looks, the 12' model looks even better and futuristic with its sharp sleep lines. Do you or anyone know if I can directly change the 08' fairings to the 12'? I heard and read they're plug and play. They're are conversion kits but again I read all you need are: headlights, ram/air ducts and the fairings itself. I want to convert my 08 to 12' but without the digital dash tho it is possible and you can even buy the hm one. Thanks
@frozenf5682 it does and I think certain colour/schemes make this bike pop than others. Lovely bike and shape/design I loved it since I was a kid seeing people in groups ride and I remember seeing this bike in the "finding nemo" colour scheme lol. Gr8 excellent bike 🏍
After doing ton of research the CBR1000RR was my choice of a "big boy" motorcycle. Upgraded to new one in 2013 and I can say it keeps it smoothness throughout the years. The Balanced weight in the CBR line is I got to say one of the best I've felt on any other bike.
dude i know exactly how you were feeling. i had a 2013 cbr600rr and a 2014 r6, but when i got the 2014 1000rr less then a week ago i was blown away. its an unbelievable bike.
One of my favorite bikes that I’ve owned. So reliable, forgiving, sneaky fast, has midrange power unlike most inline 4 bikes, amazing handling and fantastic balance. It’ll eat miles wether on the highway or on the backroads. It’ll rip your face off acceleration wise up till about 170mph, getting from 170 to 186 is a bit slow cause it sacrificed top end power for usable midrange which imo makes it a great commuter bike. That is if you can actually handle a liter bike. I actually also found it to be plenty comfortable and have spent many hours on the saddle. I’ve ripped some gnarly corners on her at insane speeds and she did nothing but inspire confidence.
@@tsubarider13 I avoided getting an 08. They had common problems with the piston rings failing hence burning oil. If they have proof that they got fixed then yeah go for it. Otherwise I’d personally avoid it. Unless you’re able to get a killer deal on it knowing you might need to replace the motor.
you said smooth so many times i could've eaten 2 sticks of butter and a tub of cool whip and it wouldn't have come anywhere near equally as smooth as how you made the bike seem.
Great vid man. I own a 2015 Honda CBR 1000RR Special Edition Repsol, and it is butter smooth. I love this bike, it's mighty fine. Thanks for your great vids man, I love them.
I believe Honda is the smoothest out the the Big 4. The rest are EXTREMELY close, but because it is a bit underpowered makes it that little bit smoother. I have had mine for 3 years, and it has broken down twice. Also, because it is underpowered, it is also reliable as hell. My favorite part about the CBR is the transmission. Like Chase, I LOOOOOVVEEE my smooth-ass transmission.
I like the 08/09 and own a 08. Love the headlights like you said in the video. I didn't really care for the new ones when they switched back to lights looking similar to the 07 and earlier years. This bike does feel like a 600 but with the power of a one liter.
Did you have that oil consumption issue with your bike? 2008-10 are notorious for their oil consumption. Should I go for those model years or avoid them.
@KK I just sold mine last year. Been 7yrs or more and I had no issues. Oil was always full and the bike ran excellent all the time. Maybe its a hit or miss with them. Newer bikes always ride better. I would shop around a bit before deciding. Good luck.
i just went from a 1999 cbr600F4 to a 2008 cbr1000rr the difference is insane! SOOOO much more power, and confidence inspiring handling! this thing just barks at you when you snap the throttle even a little bit! but you are right! its soooo smooth! and the power is simply mind numbing in comparison to a 600! I love it!!
How is de riding position compared to the cbr600 f 2002. I rode it last year and liked the seat position, but i am afraid that the cbr 1000 rr is too extreme, and the handlebars too low
My dad owns a 2008 fireblade, he did a custom red bull paint job on it himself and it was also an LSL show bike back when it was new meaning its got pretty much all LSL extras available for it. Its a real cool bike
If I remember correctly from my bar tending days.... if you don’t pour heavy and put exactly one ounce in each shot glass, then you get 25 shots in one fifth of booze....
the blade is hands down the best liter bike you can buy for every day riding. my budget thankfully gave me the choice of basically any bike i wanted. i looked at the panigale bmw zx10 and i settled on the blade. some times i regret not getting the s1000rr but even my friend that owns one says he feels more comfortable on the blade.
Hey all, I can vouch for this...Thanks to this video (and videos from cycle cruza, and Riding with Tom) I now have a 2012 Fireblade...Blown away is the only thing I can say...Crazy smooth!!!
I was lucky enough to ride on a 2010 limited repsol edition , god damn that bike , fucking smooth and fast , the engine break is strong and when you pull the throttle ... you feel like flying , just simple magnificent
I've watched this video at least 5 times, and every single time I see the bike in the opening footage, I start drooling. Cant get enough of that yellow... Chase is pretty cool too i guess...
Reviews like this are exactly why a Fireblade will be my next bike. Everyone I know absolutely loves them! Gonna beat my GSXR 750 until she can't take it anymore then upgrade!
LOL! How SMOOOOTH is it? Nice review Chase. I'm testing a 2012 CBR 1000RR in a few days, and I LOVE a smooth bike (suits my style). Can't wait. This review bodes well for that. The fact that it's small also bodes well for my shorty self and being comfortable with the rider triangle. The 2016 ZX-10R is hella smooth too...and so is the 2015+ BMW S1000RR. Love both those bikes. The R1 had an engine punch like Mike Tyson in Mode 1, but was better in modes 2 or 3. You're funny...'What the shit' and 'oh my sweet Jesus'. Love it. :D You're lucky you have a dealer who feeds ya bikes to ride! I gotta rely on other riders but thankfully there's a steady stream haha. Here in CA it's nigh impossible to get test-rides from dealers...except BMW is pretty good about it. Not a fan of that yellow and black, but the angry owl comparison is funny. I do like the look. I also dislike the way the tail looks. Looks like the bike was designed around 2007 but the tail looks like it came from a 1988 design team. Hondas seem to be renown for their plank-like seats. For 'liter' bikes...we Americans tend to 'd' our 't' sounds with some words. :) I enjoy the accents as always. :)
I have the 2007 Honda CBR1000RR HRC Special Edition. I would love to see you review the 2007 bike. The reason I love the Honda so much is that smoothness and even powerband. I had a 2002 Kawasaki Ninja 636 and it was ok at low revs and then suddenly you got hyperspeed. I saw your review of the 2013 Ninja 636 and I would have liked to see you really rev it. I think you would have gotten a lot more power at higher revs. A little too much maybe, that bike has NO finess or smoothness... :O
BCBOYS92 It won't seem smooth to you if you only have ever ridden a Honda, BUT... when you go from a Honda to something else, it's like/ Damn this thing is choppy the throttle control SUCKS ass the suspension is horrible and it handles like crap. In Fact you have been riding the best bikes in the world now you try a second class bike and it shows. The other super sports are great bikes But Honda has always been the cream of the crop.
I like Honda for the low-end torque. I use mine to commute, so I'm at low revs most of the time, so the low-end torque is perfect. This was the deciding factor for me on getting Honda vs. Kawasaki.
+Matt Williams Yep. Switching from Kaw to Honda I could immediately could tell that the power comes in at the bottom to middle on the Honda, and Mid to top on the Kawasaki.
The CBR1000RR is a nice bike. It's silky smooth with linear power delivery. I enjoyed riding it.
