Like some of the comments below, I too was a bit surprised how much they paid for that apartment. My guess is, this complex is not intended for your average Montenegro family? The quality looks top-notch, but at that price, I'm not surprised that there aren't more locals living there yet. The further east you go, you'll see apartment prices drop dramatically. Right now, I'm researching Turkey and Georgia, and you'd be amazed what you can buy (brand new) for half that price.
Update: Okay, I found a real estate site that has a number of decent homes, in most peoples' price ranges. So, you don't have to move to Turkey or Georgia to get a nice affordable home.
Foreign Company director/ResidenCY in Montenegro leave around 90 days or less at different times in a Year for Business or personal reasons travel out of Montenegro, will it affect My future PR and citizenship ? " how many days will it allow to stay out of Montenegro within 5 Years or every year count ? and where should i get the permission when I leave the country ? And can I continue the PR or Citizenship Process ??
My guess is, in the future there will be. Once that place starts needing regular maintenance, but it may be a while before they start paying US-like fees. I pay $410/month in Florida for my condo/villa fees, but it covers a lot, like water, sewer, garbage p/u, exterior maintenance, basic cable, pool, club house, lawn, etc.
@@cfonde Our condo fees are now $850/month in Florida & expecting them to go above $1000/month next year - so essentially for the same each month my wife and I could live in Kotor, at least from 2021 prices, 2023 maybe 15% more?
Bonnie & Michelle, how do we contact you directly to discuss investments and property management opportunities? PS I’m in Utah as well…awesome to see fellow Utahans getting out and exploring investment opportunities around the world :)
There's lots of rain in the winter/spring season, in the summer it could be too hot because the location is locked by bare rocky mountains all around. The cost of heating in winter should be low, especially if the building is well-insulated. There are barely any beaches nearby and the roads are congested during the tourist season, unless you opt for mountains. The country has been in a dubious situation economically and politically for more than a year, but if your finances are coming from elsewhere, you could be totally OK.
Hmmm, a lot of this is perception. If you’re coming from most parts of the USA you probably won’t think the heat is too hot, if you’re coming from Northern Europe maybe you’ll consider it very hot. Similar to the rain, it’s a mix of rain and non rain days on the Winter and Spring, not too different from much of Europe in my opinion. Beaches, there are plenty of places to walk to where swimming is allowed nearby in the bay, beaches like Jaz are about 15 or 20 minutes by car or Taxi. Tourist season, yes the roads get congested but not like Los Angeles, Chicago or New York traffic. So it really depends on your point of reference.
I would suggest people looking to move to this country to first do your research about the economic and political state that the country is in. Best of luck. ✌️
We feel it’s no different than most democracies, the US can look pretty unstable when watching the news so do your research. Often the reality on the ground differs from the hype.
Nothing worse than the Democrats and Republicans in the US. Different opinions of priorities, nothing I see as far as destabilizing the country. Differences will be settled at the ballot box.
It's interesting how people from the West are amazed at double glazed windows, which have been a standard here - Serbia, Montenegro - for at least half a century, in Belgrade triple-glazed windows are actually now becoming standard. Kotor is a small town with two real, very dangerous mafias that have killed about 50 people in the last year.
Actually double paned are standard in the US, many countries still have single pane especially South America. This simply shows that there are high quality features that one might expect in the US in this home. Our home in Florida had hurricane windows with impact resistant windows up to 200 miles per hour. Regarding Mafia, I'm no expert on the matter but the reported history is 30 killed since 2013 and they are mostly members of the other competing group. I haven't seen anything new in the news since January 2020.
@@WarrenJulieTravel 50 including Belgrade, which is the front yard for most Montenegrians, including mafias. :-) They say one of the gangs is actually a state one, formed by President Djukanovich secret service. Hopefully he is gradually losing his power now.
@@WarrenJulieTravel Warren and Julie, don't join any Montenegrin mafia and you'll be ok. I just went to check on the local weather(Milwaukee area). The headline was 7 teens shot in the last week, 3 fatalities. Last week in Kenosha(Illinois border town) at a rap concert, 5 shot, 3 dead. But we still live here.
