This channel, among a few others, helped me decide to get one of these. Mine is almost identical to the white one in this video except I have the medium android satin finish on my wheels instead of the graphite. Coming from a 2018 Audi A4 Quattro S Line, which I loved very much, I am impressed by just how good this car is. It's way more engaging than the A4. While it doesn't have as pleasing an interior to look at, it certainly is a high quality interior. To anyone shopping in the compact/subcompact segment, you owe it to yourself to drive one. Even if you ultimately decide on another vehicle, I think you'll be very impressed with this car, nevertheless.
Personally I find this interior a lot better than that fake vent that goes across the whole dash in the Audi. Could also be that I had a prius and that audi vent reminds me way too much of it lol
You nailed it! I had a CT5 Sport prior to my 21 CT4-V and although I do miss the stability of the CT5, this car is just way too much fun to drive. Cadillac is putting out drivers cars, not your old mans Cadillac like they used to.
I love the analog gauges on the CT4-V. They look very crisp, easy to read, and I like how the digital portion fills the space which isn't digital so it doesn't look like you have a base model vehicle. The old ATS had a horrible gauge cluster and I am glad they improved it. It's also really nice how this is one of the only compact cars that have heated AND cooled seats.
If you have the v series like this in the video and it's got the upgraded interior, it'll not only have heater and cooled seats, but also message front seats
Happy that 2021 will bring the full digital dash. Great review as always! Watched it on the big screen to take it your visual work. Love the design inside (minus the analog cluster) and out.
I currently have a 2015 ats 3.6 premium with performance pkg Had it for almost 4 years now and still get the wow factor every time I drive it! Love it. Not sure if next will be the 4v or 5v but can't wait. I'm a cheap bastard so I always buy used with low miles. Coming soon
Just got a 2023 V. Personally love it. While the growl of the Blackwing would be awesome, paying another $20-25k isn't. Launched mine and did a respectable 0-60 in 4.2, can't complain.
So underrated. GM did a great job with the ct4 and ct5. The only thing they need to step up is the interior. And that spoiler should be black. It would look so much better.
I'm not too disappointed with the interior. I thought GM used nice materials. Carbon fiber, leather, hard button toggles, nice piping on seats. Better interior than my 19 2SS 1LE. I did like the Recaro seats in the 'Maro, but they weren't as plush as these.
I'm pretty sure if the engine isn't broken in yet, the car won't let itself hit redline. Once the engine is broken in the redline moves to what is shown on the cluster.

I agree but I think the “V” button is just to give you an instant performance and mostly sound option.
Nobody talked on Audi when they introduced the RS line as the top dog variant and shifted the S cars down a notch. This is exactly what Cadillac is doing with the V. Idk about Canada, but in the US you can option the standard CT4 with a detuned 2.7 out of the CT4-V. So essentially you have a base, base with power upgrade, performance tuned, then the premier performance trim.
I’m in the market and debating between ct4 and bmw 330i (due to its mpg). I really like the ct4 cause I don’t see too many out there and it has a very sleek look. Maybe I’ll wait til they update the odometer and improve a bit more on materials but I’m leaning towards Cadillac
People just needs to complain about Cadillac GM period it doesn't matter what they do smh like they came to there house and smacked the shit out of them and stole there money go figure I think this and the ct5 v is 🔥 motor trend said the ct5 v rear wheel drive was best in class as far as being a sports car
Exactly. All he did, for the most part, was complain about this car. Watch the top trending UA-camrs review of this car and, they give it a good review. The new interior is miles better than the previous version. He needs to make some references to the older CTS’s as well.
Nice review. Would have liked some time to be spent on particulars of the interior. I don't find the dash dated, but I much prefer the dash and interior of the XTS. I don't like CUE sitting on the dash like it was placed there like a tablet...it should have been integrated into the dash. Tip: When using sport manual the only thing you have to be concerned with are the upshifts, not the downshifts. The downshifts will be controlled by the computer and automatically happen as you slow down. Using the paddles to unshift will get you to redline as long is that is where you want it to go - naturally you could upshift at any point in the proper rpm range for that particular shift...but not allow you to go past it.
I am seriously debated getting the RWD over the AWD. I figure I will regret not having AWD about 8 or 9 days a year driving in the crappy weather. But AWD I will regret the rest of the days. Any suggestions and opinions?
Excellent review! Cadillac has done well with the CT4-V as an ATS replacement. Can you check another CT4-V at the dealer to see if it hits the 6k rev limit. The shifting instructions are based in software programing. Maybe the dealer can re-flash the computer. A follow-up would be much appreciated. Cheers!
Keep doing what you doing man! Your work is very detailed! You can see that this channel will grow right away! This is million subscribers channel easy.
This car definitely is about 5 seconds 0-60, if even that. I just test drove the car and it honestly doesn't feel all that fast. However, the PRICE is really good for this level of performance.
One thing I will add now that I have driven the ct5 for a week straight (like the ct4) is that, this 10 speed transmission is not consistent. You have to be in the right mode, to really get the full performance.
@@betochipistube6543 these times are prime conditions, with a light enough driver, and a lot of times have a small rollout distance. I've driven the car, you can't tell me otherwise.
Sure would be cool if they took advantage of the truck motor sitting higher up and stuffed an electric motor or two under the front end to make it an awd hybrid.
Oh don't get me started on how the 2014 ATS doesn't have a latch for you to pull down the backseat. I found out the hard way when I locked my keys in the trunk and had to "surgically" rip open my back seat
The V button is a customize button and you didn't customize the settings. You have to do more research before reviewing. Additionally the engine wasn't under load when you did that clip PLUS I bet you didn't adjust the active exhaust. Finally the screen is tilted so you look down at it like a phone instead of slapped even all high on the dash. Oh and you take it out of Sport and put in tour then wonder why it is not going to redline. Dude do better
I don’t get it. Half of y’all complain that Cadillac’s drive so good and sporty, they’ve lost their American heritage by “chasing the Germans”. The other half complain that they aren’t enough like the Germans they look so distinct from and drive better than.
So, to every UA-cam video or person crying over how the CT4,CT5,and discontinued CT6 V cars aren't the CTS V they never had anyways lol......y'all right, same as that out dated CTS V isn't a Blackwing....so just hush. What about the ATS V? still in the 10s with little mods. Don't like it...dont buy it....
I just leased the car the only thing I hate when you drive it the engine makes a whistling noise even when when cruising it’s kinda annoying.I thought it was a issue with the car maybe it’s normal
The CTS saved Cadillac. This is gonna burn them again!! This is nothing more than an over priced glorified Chevy Malibu. The CT5 is the Impala equivalent!👎👎👎
I actually really enjoyed driving the CT4-V, felt great and handled amazing. Can't speak for the regular CT4 though, haven't driven one. Blackwing versions are coming. They'll be like the old school V's were.
You opened the trunk and avoided let us know: Does the car have a spare tire or just a can of shaving cream? I had a CTS and i did not realize it didn't have a spare until I needed it. Stuck for 12 hours in the middle of nowhere until I could get help. From now on: No spare - No buy.
What colour looks better on the CT4-V? White or black?
I prefer black, but white looks clean to me.
For the CT4-V, white really works.
White as long as it’s clean!!! 🛁🛁
White!
Black

How's the space? Does it feel like a small/tight car when you sit in it? or has a good amount of comfort for the driver?
19 inch wheels? I thought they were 18 inch.

This CT4-V is a turbocharged 4-cylinder - if you get the CT4-V Blackwing it comes with a twin-turbo V6.

The back of the CT5 is much nicer looking than the CT4.
100% yes.
