    (Yes, it's dead, prayge)
YES ME QUOTING MYSELF IN PART 2 WAS MEANT TO BE SARCASTIC. Dry humour does not work well in my style of presentation, it seems.
Obligatory disclaimers that you are free to play the game how you like, so on and so forth. It's closer to information theory than Arknights meta discussions that I've done in the past, and I'm trying to maintain mostly neutral on this topic despite my heavy leanings in favour of tierlisting found in a lot of my other content. While I'm technically part of GP's tierlist team, I do believe the claim that it's the best option available to EN at the moment isn't that outlandish of a claim considering the other alternatives.
Tierlisting is probably the start of a divide between casual and noncasual players which eventually (inevitably) lead to all the hate for one side or the other, although enmity for the latter is very often seen all throughout AK, with stuff like "metaslave" being a derogatory term for individuals who simply want to play a strategy game in an optimal manner.
For the last section, I edited out my coverage on (iii) Subjectivity/nitpicking because I felt it was too biased towards my opinion on tierlists, and although this video is an opinion piece altogether, my 2am brain yesterday just wasn't functioning too well when recording.
