We love Pattaya - we are heading there Monday - Last time we were there I noticed there are a ton more "freelancers" on beach road. We have a running joke how many numbers my husband can get when he ventures out alone to 7-11 LOL - but when we are together 99% of the women are respectful and won't even look at him let alone speak to him - but alone yeah they throw themselves at him LOL Its still a place that captured my heart and has brought us back over and over again for 15 years.
Paddy I have watched all your videos sometimes more then once. I appreciate your honesty about your moods, I can relate. I am planning a trip to Thailand this October and I so appreciate all your adventures, food and accomodatiions. You are almost there Paddy keep going.
Paddy, im glad you wait a couple days until you judge Pattaya. I love Pattaya, and for me, single man, is easy and convenient. We have cheap wester and thai food, we have expat clubs, nice beach road, mix Asian and wester population, variety condominiums to live, street markets , big shopping centres, all in less than half mile walking, easy transport and just less than two hours from BKK and BKK airport.
Hi Paddy...ive travelled all over Thailand for 20 years...but Pattaya has a special magnet about the place...my first impressions of Pattaya were not that great either 20 years ago...but everytime i went to a more beautiful place i was always somehow drawn back to Pattaya...it seems like the longer you stay there you never want to leave...it has a magic about the place that only grows stronger over time...and im so pleased to say that after 20 years of travelling around in Thailand I can call Pattaya City my home town with my adorable Thai wife and family here...maybe one day you will understand what im trying to express.. it's like...you just know when your finally home and settled in the right place even if its not the most beautiful place...but it just feels like home and that is what makes it beautiful ! ...best regards, Richard, from PATTAYA DOG GROOMING SALON.
Hehe, well my family and our house is near Rayong City, visited Pattaya and its at least a more vibrant and modern City and nothing wrong with it really. I just don't like the farangs that comes there ;)
Rainy trip in Rayong! Reminds me of how I feel, a little sad for our journey around Thailand is ending soon. I like Pattaya Beach, it's close to Bangkok with many things to do with lots of places to eat. Hard to believe you have been on the road over a year. I am sure you got the end in sight. You always do an awesome job of mixing the perfect music with your videos. Another Great video Paddy!
@@ThailandThomas Yes, but nothing lasts forever. And things have to change. He has rocked it. But I am sure it must have been very lonely at times. After his break, I am sure he will be doing something. 🤗
Yes a beautiful place … met a famous former Hollywood couple before they were official - hiding out on a private villa where they were consummating their affair.
@@karentemplesnow8960 There are no Private Villas on Samet as it's a National Park. The very best hotel on the island is not 'Hollywood movie star quality', very nice but not that standard.
Just left Pattaya with my wife and 2 young kids and had a great time there, never experienced any problems with women or drunk ex pats that you associate Pattaya with. We visited Koh Larn the island across from pattaya and that was another great day out😀 Would i go again, yes i would, is it family safe, i would also say yes, as long as your not down walking street at 2am, you will be fine.
Wow two more to go. Quite a journey. I did America on motorcycle twice and Canada parts of Mexico. It's always part of me now. I am retiring in Thailand soon. Stay safe
Thanks for the love in Rayong. You should definitely come back. Rayong has a lot to offer. Koh Samet is a must, and there are several private islands you can stay at, if your checkbook allows. As to the industrial area you mentioned, that would be the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, a huge collection of factories, chemical plants, oil refineries and coal power stations. I won't comment on the environmental stuff, except to say yikes. But there are many jobs there, which is the reason for all the traffic.
Paddy I have been following your next level adventure from the start. I have watched each video a couple of times and shared with friends. I look forward to each one. I want to wish you a happy birthday and glad that this year you will be with friends and not all alone. You present Thailand 🇹🇭 in a very respectful and meaningful way.
The crab 🦀 dish looks yummy! Rayong seems like a place we’d like try out one of these days! So glad to see that you made it to Pattaya in one piece Paddy and thanks for sharing this video:)
So much to see and do in Pattaya, other than just the "Walking Street". One place that you shouldn't miss is Nong Nooch Gardens, which is spectacular, beyond words. The Sanctuary of Truth in the north end of Pattaya is also out of this world. The Floating Market is very fun as well. And there is a fun Art in Paradise museum there, where you can put yourself in the picture. Then there is Koh Larn, which is a quick ferry boat ride away with some beautiful beaches, and a challenging trek of a very tall hill to a beautiful vantage point at the top. There is a theatre there called the D-Luck Theatre that was, up unitl the pandemic, showing a Broadway-quality production called The Kaan Show, which was an absolutely stunning production that included live elephants walking through the theatre. Not your average tourist culture show, but an actual theatrical production. And the theatre building itself is constructed in such a way that it looks like it is floating in the air. But the seedy nightlife is also part of the attraction, just to see it and experience it. Sort of like going to Bourbon Street in New Orleans, only even seedier.
I stayed in that hotel in Rayon for a wedding. The breakfast buffet is massive and one of the best. The rooms and design of the hotel is amazing - super quiet rooms with stunning views

Great vlog Paddy, you looked fairly tired mate you might need to get some rest now your in Pattaya 😂😂 hope you enjoyed your stay, after seeing ride4kicks vlog you popped up in his vlog in Pattaya and looked refreshed and on the turps 555
Welcome to Rayong, The best way to ride Rayong is along the coast from the bridge that you fly drone until Hat Mae Ramphueng beach. Im living in Laem Mae Phim beach for 3 years. The beach you stayed, Ao Khai its gorgeous during some seasons, its a pitty wasnt beautiful this day. Sometimes i go there to fly my drone, can see smaller inslands on the front. Today Suan Son and Laem Mae phim are way better, its a pitty you arrived rayong during a storm! Most of people just know rayong as a industrial area or a koh samet entrance in ban phe, but for real the end of the rayong province is like a hidden gem for people who look for a relaxed life near the beach. Keep riding safe
I've already seen your cameos on Rides 4 Kickz and I'm looking very forward to seeing Pattaya from your POV. I'm making my grand return to Patts for a month or so sometime this fall/winter. Your last two videos made me put Koh Kood on that same itinerary as a weekend getaway. Keep going, Paddy!!!!!!!!
Maybe some other commenter has pointed out that the correct pronunciation is PAH’ ty-yah.🙂 When I was a kid we visited a camp in Jomtian, which was virtually deserted and free of pollution and tourists back then.
Paddy ,for the first 9 years of Travelling to Thailand i swore blind i'd never go to Pattaya ever ,6 years been going there since 🤦♂️Not once did i swim in that sea or even walked the beach ...But Pattaya has so much more to offer than you might think 👍Hang in there mate 55 🤣
Hotels are rented not bought, basic amenities are all that’s needed. Save the money. When your tired it’s time to nest and not go anywhere for a week or until bored. Protect your mental state
Your 4-5 star hotels along Beach Road ( or down the sois) in north Pattaya are away from the “seedy section” including Walking Street in south Pattaya. You have a nice beach promenade to walk on, three decent malls, and the public local “baht bus” ( tuk tuk) is easy to hop on & get off. Using the local transportation ( really riding in back of a pickup) is easy once you’ve experienced it. ( no obnoxious tuk tuk mafia that one encounters in Phuket). It’s only 10 baht. Jomtien also has some decent hotels but further away from the cinemas, malls, and other attractions. Since there have been no tourists in Pattaya for a couple years ( due to Covid lockdown) I imagine the “hospitality” is a bit aggressive 555
Sad things of Chonburi's Beach is Garbage Problem, not only trash tourist or local people liter around, garbage also comes from river or canals that end up in the Ocean from anywhere in Thailand Gulf. During South-West Monsoon Season most garbage in Thailand Gulf mostly washed up onto Chonburi Beach such as Bang Saen, Pattaya or Jomtien on the North-East side of the Gulf.
Looking forward to you getting to Phuket and giving your tips and views. I arrive there end of May. Week in Phuket, week in Krabi, up to the Phrae for 2 weeks to meet my girlfriends family and explore the North then a few days in Bangkok before heading home. Your videos have helped me plan a lot of my visits.
Hi Paddy. Been watching your videos for the last few weeks and thoroughly enjoyed them. I live in Bang Saray which is about 15km south of Pattaya with my wife and two kids. Don’t judge the town too harshly. Even in the precovid days the sex industry was a pimple on a boil on an elephant based on what this city is overall to so many people. As in you can find it if you go looking for it , or happen to be in the areas where it is, but there’s way more to Pattaya City down to Sattahip than that. If I’d recommend any place worth a visit go to Silver Lake and have a look around there. It may surprise you. So many places to see along that road which is 1003. Check out the Buddha image whist there featured on a mountain rock surface.
Jomtien used to be very well thought of as the Thai Royal Family have property there, but Pattaya...well if the condition of the beach is anything to go by...
Hi Paddy.... just wanted to say you're doing a brilliant job. Top notch production values, great friendly, personal presentation and some stunning video/drone shots. My wife and I lived in Chiang Mai for a year and plan to return to Thailand for our 7th visit later this year. I'd be grateful for some advice ... want to take my drone with me next time ... what sort of official permissions/rules etc to be able to fly a drone in Thailand? Keep up the good work 😊😊
Paddy... I live halfway between Pattaya and Sriracha, I gravitate towards Sriracha for just about everything. Restaurants (pork satay you have to try) and there's a wonton restaurant near the clock tower that is just awesome! Chonburi city is great too... Lots of history! Pattaya has been pretty much gutted because of covid and it will never be the same... It's a lost cause... Cheers! Love your videos mate... Cheers!
If you do go to the won ton place the owner is very proud of his noodle shop as its been highlighted on Thai TV... Tell him the Farang from Banglamung who likes like Santa send you there...
For me, I would rather go to Sri Racha instead of Pattaya. Yes, there is no beach there but the atmosphere, the food, the mix of the local native Thai and Japanese expat more than make up for it.
Paddy, the navy bases are "Out of Bounds" to Foreigners. I was in the same area a couple of years ago with my Thai girl friend. No Foreigners Allowed in military bases.
Hi Paddy actually the beach when not soaked by rain are quite nice in Jomtien and Dongtran Beach you were their after a down pour.. i have been the many times when the beaches look sandy and beautiful.. by the way you were filming at a spot where the beach rejuvenation has not reached yet you can see where it has been finished even in your video... you may want to stay in at cozi hotel in wongamat beach ( much nicer area of pattaya with a nice stretch of beach and still walking distance to beach road.).. very very close to the northern end of pattaya near the dolphin roundabout you may have found out that the holiday inn in pattaya is not cheap its expensive...L.A Rob
You should have gone to Tung Prong Thong (Golden Meadow) mangrove Forrest near the bridge you took your drone shot. It's a must more beautiful mangrove Forrest.
Missed all the coast, from Ao Khai where he stayed, mae phim, coca cola beach, suan son, ban phe, mae ramphueng. But we need to understand he was in a rush. And during the storms all the bach area was quite ugly
Hiya Paddy, Getting gas. I always think of the time. When you were dancing to the tunes while filling up. How was your butt after four half hours ride?. Respect to you, Paddy. A very long journey again. You definitely do not need that stress at check-in. After such a long ride. How is your back? Your rucksack looks so heavy. As much I do not want the lack of videos. I will be glad for you to have a break. Kick back, enjoy your time with Miss P. You worked hard all year where most have not. Perfect tunes. Good vibes. I feel you are well ready for a break. I bet you did get a few offers in Pattaya. Great tunes. Lovely video. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day.
paddy 14years in thailand .... rayong go ban khai ban phe the pier for samet klaeng .... or chon buri go sattahip bang saray ... is alot changes about koh kood 555 enjoy men
Hi Paddy, just binge watching your last few video's. Loved koh Chang and koh kood not been there for 15 years but will hopefully go there in a few months if Thailand opens up. Pattaya beaches are not the best. But you can get a ferry to the nearby Island, the beaches are better but not as good as where you have just been.
Softshell crab, i must remember me to eat that one day 💪 anyhow you and Dreamy did put in big hours on the road, and had a well deserved relaxed beachfront hotel to relax 👊 Anyhow we (the misses and i) had some amazing weeks in Thailand, got on the road for 5400 KM so much to see 😊 Will catch up on the vids buddy cause we were busy 😉 i did follow you on Insta mate, so know you finished the trip, on too the next level mate 🎊🎉🥳 And as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 🙌🍻

Hi im chonburi and i love your video!
Such a rush to watch this! Love it! Thanks!
🤣🤣🤣 thought they wanted directions absolutely brilliant 👏 🤣
Missed Mae Ram Phueng beach and Koh Samet..
Missed all the coast, from Ao Khai where he stayed, mae phim, coca cola beach, suan son, ban phe, mae ramphueng. But we need to understand he was in a rush.
And during the storms all the bach area was quite ugly
Another great video Paddy
Have a great day.
haha thanks Nicky, I stopped getting feeling in my butt a LONG time ago haha!
Paddy, what is the music at the end of this episode? Keep yourself well. Love the vids.
Hi Paddy , what was the background music of the vlog , it sounded more like oasis .
paddy 14years in thailand .... rayong go ban khai ban phe the pier for samet klaeng .... or chon buri go sattahip bang saray ... is alot changes about koh kood 555 enjoy men
Hi Paddy, just binge watching your last few video's. Loved koh Chang and koh kood not been there for 15 years but will hopefully go there in a few months if Thailand opens up. Pattaya beaches are not the best. But you can get a ferry to the nearby Island, the beaches are better but not as good as where you have just been.
Fabulous as ever!
Softshell crab, i must remember me to eat that one day 💪 anyhow you and Dreamy did put in big hours on the road, and had a well deserved relaxed beachfront hotel to relax 👊
Anyhow we (the misses and i) had some amazing weeks in Thailand, got on the road for 5400 KM so much to see 😊
Will catch up on the vids buddy cause we were busy 😉 i did follow you on Insta mate, so know you finished the trip, on too the next level mate 🎊🎉🥳
And as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 🙌🍻
You are in Centara QHotel. Nice welcome to my home province. 👍👍👍👍 you should go to the pier (street sea food) near Hotel.
ผมอยู่ระยอง ขอบคุณที่คุณมาถึงระยองแล้ว
Awesome!
You should come and do Mexico next!
Have a good time and safety แมน
4:58 Don’t think that guy wants to be eaten.
Rayong has a huge natural gas downstream industrial area.
Dan in Thailand lives there!
I was expecting to see Koh Samet in this video since it is maybe the most famous BKK weekend getaway for locals.
After the islands of Trat I just fancied keeping it on the mainland
