I want to get a single scale 8 string, use the same gauge strings for every string and tune them all the same. That way I can tell people I use every string ; D

Got my first 8-string back in July and it's been super fun to play around with. The big thing I got it for (at first) was to play Haken songs, but I find it's pretty fun to write with. Even if I just use the low string for a quick 01 breakdown and the rest like a 7-string, it's fun to have all those options available. It is weird though, as I play bass too, to have a guitar that can easily go as low as my 4-string basses
The only bad thing about Haken is the way they pronounce Haken, I mean come on it’s based on the german word Haken meaning hook but they pronounce it American style despite Haken being an English band

That's what I was thinking about doing. Not 8 because that's too much. But 7 seems nice. I'm a mediocre bass player so I enjoy low notes more than I should. So if I improve enough and have the dedication I'll reward myself with a guitar.

I won't comment on playing the BFG Division wrong... I bought my 8 string because of Batushka. Then I re-discovered Obscure Sphinx and that kind of playing is what I do with mine the most.
Hey thx for the vid... Me: Not a lot a money in my bank account (8yrs old), so my dad asked me are you sure? (he plays acoustic btw) I tried... but I just ended up making caca noise songs (my problem, acoustic sounds great). Then my brother lent me his electric guitar (with amplifier). I was like a king (or felt like it). I am still learning (12 years later). Damn it is hard. Pfiou +the physical weight of the instrument.... But yeah still dreaming to one day, just to try the feeling of the genre of sound I have always been intrigued by.

I'm actually straight up gonna try this. I mess with weird tunings a lot. You easily get half the credit for making this happen.
