Hey you! Do you want to download this project file? Download it here: www.keyframeacademy.com/text-animation-download If you're wanting to grab the Motion script panel, you can get it here: www.mtmograph.com/products/motion-3?ref=zuwyw637vh
For Animation 6, instead of creating the rectangular track matte, you can simply go to Opacity under Range Selector and set opacity to 0% (Animator 1 > Add > Property > Opacity). This will help if you have multiple text in your video that have different lengths so there is no need to make a track matte for each text box.
Method 1 is exactly the look I am trying to do in a big project I am working on. I already knew this way of doing it, but thought surely there must be a better way when working with 5-10 lines of text than animating every single line on its own layer. I guess I was already doing the best way without even knowing it.
@@lorenzovari Hi, I use cleaner method, when you make mask directly on the text line and animate position by effect transform. Then you can duplicate your line, rewrite text, move it as you wish and the animation is still preserved.
#6 Alpha invert map is no longer given in the UI in the same way. TO replicate this you're now required to select the above layer in the 'no matte' column, then click the neighbouring icon space to the right of the black on white circle icon on the text layer.
Great video! Just a note in case anyone else gets the same issue with No5 - the text needs to be centrally justified to animate from the center, otherwise it will be offset
Great thank you. I almost had a panic attack when thinking of how much work it was going to take to make a few rows of typing numbers by using keyframes and individual characters. Didn't even know about the typing effect in AE, you've saved me a significant amount of time and tedium.
Excellent tutorial guys. I'm still a relative newbie, but found these exercises to be completely useful and explained and delivered in an exceptionally quick and no-nonsense manner. Thank you!
Congrats! I'm also a long way from being a pro but I wanted to encourage you a bit -- those three things he mentioned at the start (easing, track mattes, text formatting) are not so arcane and I bet you could learn enough about them for this video after a few searches!
I used to do that only in Premiere. For a simple words slides in a 6 word sentence it took me 20 minutes and was super junky. here it took me 10 min to learn and nos 1 min to create. it is amazing
How great are "mistakes"?! I had switched the keyframes on #6 so it would appear left from right, but didn't make the directional change in the second animator in #7. The result was a very cool glitchy effect. Thanks for a great lesson!
@@TheKeyframeAcademy Corel VideoStudio Pro. I bought it last year and started noticing how limiting the program was. Very easy for quickly learning, but many of it's features are template based, so not a whole lot of room to experiment or make your own effects.
I was curious as to what the overlorn pluggin did, so I did a little research and it was what I always needed but did not know it existed. Great find and amazing video too!
This used to be so simple when Swish was still able to be used. AE just seems hard as hell for someone just starting out with it. Great Video though man!

Thank you! Here for this
4:09 You should probably mention that the text needs to be aligned in the paragraph panel to animate from the center rather than the first letter.
Naw now you get the credit cheers
