Excellent video content! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Schallingora Income Technics Scheme (search on google)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for discovering the key to health wealth and loving relationships without the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my buddy finally got astronomical results with it.

I am Sri Lankan born buddist. I met monks who can (see previous life, listen sounds that cant listen people easily, read other people's mind, see things those are behind of big wall) using deep samatha and vipassana meditation in olympic level.
What u want a gold medal🏅😑🤔
It could be because of the immense amount of work (in meditation) they had done in their previous life.
@@ciaran6309 he never asked for one-
Right
Yeah I don’t believe that 🧢 you can’t read another person’s mind
love how they included the shot of the dog. The way peace, mindfulness, contentedness comes to them is why my dog is my best friend and greatest mentor. The same as the cynics (their name sake comes from the word canine, derogatively as it were) and Diogenes taught.
To me, much of my Buddhist practice and meditation is to gain back what we lost so long ago as natural animals of this Earth.
Try meditating and focusing on the noise . That really grounds you makes you aware of your surroundings. You cant avoid thinking... ive read that somewhere and it helped me clear my mind and ground myself into reality which is awesome !
Focusing on tip of nose from little bit open eyes or closed eyes?
Last summer my ears were hurting because I was listening to music too much and I couldn't get them out of my head. So I just tried to focus on other sounds and it helped me to get the pain out. But I couldn't do it for too long.
I've had nightmares before, where I've woken up terrified. What helps, is to listen to the sounds of home (the fridge humming, or a neighbour's dog barking) and that grounds me and calms me. Also works for panic attacks.
This man just tought us how to meditate in literally a few seconds
Short and Simple not hard at all 😭
We live in a noisy world, and calming down to feel nature is the best way to clam our hearts.

Meditation comes from India. The Gita (Scripture) tells you how to meditate.
The Gita says: Thus, by always practicing to keep the mind fixed on Me, the yogi whose mind is subdued attains peace of Nirvana and comes to Me. (6.15).
The Bible also says: You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you.
Meditation is a synonym for trance, daydream, and dream. In the Bible, God and spirits come to people in dreams and trances.
The Gita also says: A person is said to have achieved yoga, the union with the Spirit, when the perfectly disciplined mind becomes free from all desires, and gets completely united with the Spirit in trance. (6.18)
You people have been taught by your parents to cherry pick lines from texts and stretch their meaning don't you?
Well let me tell U that in reality there is no spirit, or god. Its just you and your mind.
And what Krishna in Gita is telling Arjuna is to keep his mind fixed on parmatama (him) and kill his relatives. Otherwise he will not attain moksha. Its his duty to kill so he has to kill. Even if it's sin or not.
So Krishna teaching in gita has nothing to do with yoga poga meditation or whatsoever. Its actually related to killing your relatives.
I have the utmost respect for monks. They spend their whole lives seeking and concentrating on the self. That is very hard to do and achieve.
Thank you, wise Monk, for the clear explanation.
Gratitud y bendiciones ¡Amén!
Very good video, how to meditate explained beautifully...so much in short video.. thanks
That 1 tip is the game changer.
Just focus on the air flow and your breathe that’s so Easy and it actually cleared my mind In a minute Sheeesh
The tip about concerntrating on the tip of your nose helps alot, thank you!
Thank you teacher
Try to focus on the tip of nose, feel the breath in and out. If your mind start to wanders go back to focus on your tip of nose and feel the breath.
After your mind calm, try to feel the whole body from the top of the head to the bottom of your feet. Feel all the sensation of your body without interupt it.
I learned that (vipassana meditation) from the 10 days noble silence retreat and it was wonderful. I still meditate to this day (20 minutes after wake up and before sleep) 🙏

Breathing in and out… is called Anapanasati meditation
Buddha retreats are brilliant for the mind and body facts
You feel panic is a karma. I am meditation because I am very relax
It looks like ever Buddhist monk has his own way of meditating. Monk Mangyur teaches not to concentrate while meditating and let thoughts come and go, just be aware of your breathing. I feel his advice more better as its difficult trying to stop thoughts from coming to your mind. It's better rather let them come and go.
Thoughts will come and go, it's natural. Don't worry about it. Just focus on the breathe
What i just do is i sit down and relax and then i breathe and after some time i start to really try to imagine energy flowing throughout my body and that helps me to really relax myself.

1:30 "That is called Vipassana Meditation" (not "deep asana meditation") - please edit the subtitles.
FYI: Vipassanā (in Pāli), literally means "special-seeing", of which "Vi" means "special", and "Passanā" means "seeing". It is a Buddhist term that is often translated as "insight".
Technically it is asana, observing the breathe. Vipassana is when you sweep your body or mind and observe the reality as it is.
It's not a Buddhist term. It is a term introduced by Hinduism. It's literally sanskrit.
Hi, I'm from Sri Lanka as well. Will you please be generous enough to mention the names of the aramas of such monks that you had the pleasure of meeting?

In bhagvat geeta also lord Krishna tells to concentrate on the tip of the nose to meditate just like as the Buddhists.

why does my back gets hurt when i meditate and tryna straighten my back?
frank ocean when I first started meditating my back hurt a lot too. It goes away the more you work at
Meditation is about relaxation... You should lay on your back, or learn to put the body into a state of relaxation. Don't hurt yourself.
Nia Norris do you feel numb from your legs? Im sitting indian sit, one leg top to another. It’s really hard to move, and when i move it the numbness increases lol. Is it normal?
@@frankocean466
How are you doing? Yes, laying on your back with your hands flat at your hips may be easier. It is a yoga pose, called srivasana, meaning Lord of poses (asanas). You may want to use a cushion surface or you may need a pillow, or both. But you will accustom.
Concentration is meditation ?
It's not actually, there are many types of meditation and almost unlimited variants, there's no correct form or procedure, find what works for you, no too much effort on concentrating, let it be pleasant and natural and just be present and aware.
Tai chi is another form. What answer were you looking for? Meditation has to be hard ?

Tim Robbins meditates.
First thing first I have been a monk I quite because I lose my freedom Also the meditation is about you breathing very hard and try to get the best time my best is over 1 hour also you have to suffer through foot paralysis also you have to only concentrate on only breathing also breath it hard and fast and think nothing
I feel pressure/tension building up at the center of my forehead (3rd eye location?) when I follow the advice of closing my eyes and focusing on the physical sensation of my breath, in and out of my nose. Sometimes, I have a headache from doing this. What's going on?
When you feel the tension, remind yourself to relax. Observe the sensation for a few seconds and go back to the tip of your nose and the flow of air going in and out. The tension will pass.
that’s ur third eye opening
Charlie. You have energy stuck in your head. Qi moves to the spot where your awareness is. Focusing in the head area will bring Qi to your head. If you have too much Qi in your head, move to a lower spot, like your lower dantian, and feel the breath energy there instead. Don't keep focusing in the head if you have too much Qi there or you will become insane lol
Who watching this for school
Me
This is given in gita also.
Breath at the tip of the nose?

How to meditate like a Monk in 2 min.
Interesting - the Zen monks in Japan teach that you should not meditate with closed eyes, but rather with half-closed eyes, because you can either get very sleepy or start hallucinating. I wonder why there is such a difference in meditation practices, I suppose the Japanese version isn't vipassana.
There are many differences in buddhist teachings. Originally the Palicanon states that buddha meditated eyes closed. A great soto zen master (Deshimaru) once said that he thinks you can do both - eyes open if youre sleepy, eyes closed if your mind is turbulent. But normally you should have open eyes. A theravadan Monk said you should close your eyes but open it when youre really sleepy. I think those are both just different approaches. In the end it doesnt really matter since even the zen monks do not „look“ actively, just let the light come in. I personally find meditating eyes closed much more enjoyable but that might be bc I‘m thinking too much. But sometimes when I am really tired I let my eyes stay open. Zen is really into the „right“ posture also. While Theravadan only say cross legs and put oke hand in each other. But when you see deep meditating Monks there, you will notice that they sit very straight too. Its more like a „mind to body“ approach in Theravada and a „body to mind“ approach in Zen. Please notice that you cannot apart mind and body in buddhism its just how I would describe it in dualistic language.
@@allmyinterests5139 Thank you very much for the reply!
@@Perceval777 you‘re welcome!
Eyes closed, eyes open, it doesn't matter lol. Hold one object until you enter a trance.
Monk didn't teach him what is real meditation he only told him about anapana if you want to learn real meditation go to meditation centre join full course of meditation ❤🙏🏻
Me asking my buddhist friend : do u know kung fu ?
I’m not flexible enough to practice Buddhism 😭
You don't have to be flexible or do anything with your body. Meditation is about the mind, you can still do it even sitting in a regular chair :)
So Patrick is meditating when he isn’t thinking
All great advice but please know that how you sit is no matter to meditate as long as you are COMFORTABLE and body relaxed is all that matters , no truth to the lotus position or bust ..Xx🙏🏽🕉💜
