Hi Zee. Love your channel. When mentioning ingredients like Atarodo, let your international viewers know its your fresh peppers, with a visual shot of how it looks. I bet not all Nigerians (over 256 tribes) call it Atarodo, lol. Great job!
RAGS!!!...is what my mom used to wear to the market, when I was a kid. She said to me they will not allow you to bargain the price, if you arrive in the market looking like BIG BUCKS! lol! She had the driver park the car away from the market too, because if they see you arrive in a nice car, the sellers jack up the price on you. Good ol' shopping memories with my mom.
True. I look like a mad woman when I go to market. About jacking prices that's very true. I noticed a Miller kept giving ne outrageous prices compared to others whenever I went or sent my girls to his mill. ( he knew they were from me because I always bring my own water ) upon confronting him, he told to me to my face " because you can afford it" I haven't been there in ages since I got my vitamix. Expensive but worth it.
Ponmo-200
Ugwu-100
Eja kika-250
Palm oil-150
Maggi-50
Tatashe and rodo -200
Onions-50
When it's on a budget, I don't see why we should buy two types of vegetables.
This will serve two people conveniently where I am located
Or 4 people sef depending on how much quantity one eats
It’s very possible to cook efo riro with 1k anywhere. You just have to eliminate some ingredients. E.g you can use just atarodo no need for tomatoes and tatashe, ugwu is not necessary…
Thanks for this 1k series. Students out there will benefit from this❤️
EFO (GREEN) 200
PONMO 200
EJA KIKA 200
CRAYFISH 50
IRU 50
PEPPER AND ONION 200
PAMOIL 100
WHEN WORKING ON A BUDGET YOU DONT NEED TWO LEAVES
Exactly my dear. And there's is no Efo riro without iru.
Without iru, you just made vegetable sauce or Vegeta stew.
It's very very possible to cook efo riro with 1000 naira especially if you have some ingredients at home like the palm oil, grounded crayfish, Maggi & salt.
Efo tete(green)- 200
Ponmo- 200
Rodo & Tatase(optional)- 200
Eja kika - 200
Iru - 50naira
Onions - 50naira
I've cooked budget friendly Efo riro countless times when I was a student.
Thanks for sharing this Zeelicious! ❤️
Weldone Winnie
You can try like this next time
Shoko/Green Leaf (efo tete) - 150
Iru - 50
Ugwu (Optional) - 50
Pepper & Tatashe (no need for tomatoes) - 150
Kpanla fish - 250
Pomo - 100
Crayfish -100
Palm oil - 100
Maggi - 50
Total = N1,000
Thank you!❤❤❤
Please, is what is shoko in English? Is it green? When I lived in ibadan, it was easy to get.
Moving back to uyo, no one here knows shoko.
I'd like to make this here
@@MaeOtto yes, it's called green in the east
@@DamilolaKenny-Disu thank you 😊
Is Eja kika same as Panla?
Thank you Zeelicious. You are really saving students out there. I love you❤. Please give us more budget friendly recipes
Its very possible totally depends on the mkt u go too from a local mkt its possible with 2cups of garri to step it down sef.... so its d area dat determines
I love this series! I only know egusi & okro soup. This series really opens my eyes to more delicious soups!
Glad you like them!❤️❤️❤️
2 onion bulbs for #100!!! MY GAWD. Lagos dey expensive gaskia.
I just bought onions yesterday, 6 bulbs (2 big ones and 4 medium-sized ones) for #100 here in Bauchi state.
Omo this is y I like the North
Adding tomato to your Efo bring it to what we call "Miyan Taushe" in Hausa.
I love this lady, very natural........has a very sweet voice too
In reality and typically a 1000 can’t make a pot of soup as seen
But compassionately and sympathetically one can with a little above the 1000
Thank you for sharing
You look absolutely gorgeous
❤
My love and warm hugs 🫂 to anyone out there going through some form of life struggles or challenges
The rainbow will smile on you soonest
❤
Remain Bless
Peace

Zee's energy ✨ and cooking is what I am always here for. The Efo riro looks super amazing 👏.
Seriously you are really encouraging some of us with this 1k budget ✅
It's Not Possible Ma,am! Things Are Way So Costly! Wow! 😘
This video was shot very recently tho…
It's your vibe & energy for me, would love to be your friend some day, I know you'll do all the talking cos I'm the quiet type.😄 Love you.🥰
I like your efo riro but there's no locust beans which makes efo riro really tasty.
You can use 1000 naria to cook efo riro ponmo fish both 400 the remaining 600 will go vegetables palm oil and cray fish iru pepper
Wow that's my friend's mum really love your videos 🤩
Oh really??
Which of them please?
Show your friend’s mum the video. Sure she’ll be glad to see it😊
That ugwu really reflects the rise in the cost of everything in the market 😲
Yesss!! I was shocked!
I got a size of that Ugu for N200 at Wuse Market in Abuja. I was shocked.
No ugwu of 50 naira here in abj o its 100 naira
@@ayomideotunba Wow. It is well.
That ugwu is what I buy 100naira
This is really Awesome ma'am😊
Nice one, Efo Riro is such a delicious soup, I also love adding ugwu to mine. 😊
Sumptuous I can imagine 💯
Too delicious!!😊😊
@@ZeeliciousFoods 👌
Wow! Really loved this video. Will definitely try this out.
If only i could taste through the screen... Looks so yummy 😋.
Wow. Nice. Well done dearie, but I'm of the opinion that efo riro is best made with efo- shook.
*efo-shoko
This is nice 🥰 .... Is it possible to cook Nigerian party Jollof rice With N1000 provided you have rice, salt, and seasoning at home ???
Efo riro doesn't need tomotoes, and needs Iru instead. That's the Yoruba women recipe.
Love this saves my money in school
This was really interesting to watch really enjoyed watching this and your personality was also such a vibe.
Can you help with making pepper soup and banga soup on a budget? Is it possible in this our Nigerian economy? 😏
Please try out nsala soup. This is amazing 👏 but I think things are cheaper over there! That Pomo is sold for 300 to 500 where I live.
Awesome!
I will try it out soon chef Winnie. Looks delicious.
This is amazing challenge 🙌
❤❤❤
Nice, but efo riro, requires no ugu, tastas, or onion, just rough chopped or blended rodo
U forget to add iru( locust beans)
Efo riro requires onions madam
Efo needs onions oh, most Yoruba people I know add onions to theirs and I also add to mine, I also love adding ugwu, though it's not necessary, it's just my preference.
A very nice work you are doing, especially for university🎓🎓 students, for low income earners and many others that simply don't have or beg to make ends meet 😍👍. The efo riro looks tasty😋. Nice video and great initiative💯👌😍. Thanks for sharing, stay safe & be blessed as always.
☮️✌️❤️❤️And 💋💋😀🤗.
Well done!
Thank you!
Wow what ever State you are you guys enjoy alot cause the things are really cheap
Hmmm, ugu is cheap in there faa, in Abuja Games village sides is 200 Nairs and above
I will recreate this and see if I can use just 1k in Makurdi here
Which kin malaria ugu is this 😭😭
Nigeria!!!!
😂😂😂
Here in Enugu, that ugu is 100 naira...there's no 50 naira ataraodo or ugu here.
This market is very clean ❤
Definitely try this out look yummy 😋 thanks sis
My pleasure 😊
Wow
It is possible in the north 😁😁
We forgot iru 😁
Yes i agree!😊😊
This is great, delicious soup
Thank you so much
You did not also buy iru, guess your efo isn’t complete
Sister winnie please am waiting for the detox class this month if possible but if not for the next month.please if its possible please reply, thank you 🙏
is the way Bolupe smiles for me
its...
Of course I prepared vegetables with just 750 it was a banger 😋😋😋😋😋
Am commenting late... I can cook efo riro with 1000naira now
I wish i can eat nigren food so bad..Love from South Africa 😋😋♥️♥️
I am sure there are Nigerian kitchens around, if you find out
@sbongile, there are great Nigerian caterers who deliver all over SA. You can try @jollofcafe_sandton,
Thank you ma
Definitely helping us in school here😂
Happy to help!!💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Try and cook the eforiro without tomatoes to reduce cost . Just one veg is enough and not two and definitely not ugu
I love your videos ❤
Thank you!!❤❤❤
I love how you keep going back to patronize the same women who sell tomatoes, tatashe, seasoning and others😊.
In this economy, una try o, this budget is very very reasonable especially when you bought almost everything from scratch 👍.
Now, some people might already have palm oil, seasoning & cray fish at home so they'll definitely be able to use the same #1000 naira budget to get iru, and even add more proteins to the efo riro😊. Well-done zeelicious and team , great video❤️
Delicious efo n riro
Bitterleaf soup on a budget!
Am impressed!
Please which market did you go to?i'm wondering how she sold the ugu for #50 per one
I guess this your location is not Lagos because things are way too cheap in this market
Hello Zee .. please which market is this
That ugu for my side is 150
Amazing
I didn't know they add ugwu to ego riro
Not really necessary, just choice
Efo riro has its leaf and that’s shoko
This one is efo not efo riro😂
I add a little ugwu to mine, it gives it more body, lol I don't know if that makes sense.😄
Looks yummy
This is good🥰
lol,she said you can go with your fork.
Nice one 🥰
Winnie try ofe onugbu
Zellicious, don't eat that efo riro alone. Email some. 🇬🇧
Is it ok to boil the vegetables separately a little
Are you kidding???? This is the joke of the century. The last time I heard this was in early 90's because they didn't know any better.
@@FERESEis just a question. Chil
Great
Na who chop the Biro head😀😀😀😀👍👍👍
You're cooking with your nails! That can cause food poisoning right😂lol
Nice very interesting 👍
Hahhahah! That Ugu is 100 each here 🤣🤣
It’s can’t be 1000 because other spices you have at home was not included
Cooking vegetables with #1000 is very possible
Efo with eru is just Igbo soup
First commenter!!!
❤️❤️❤️
Meaning if someone is given 1k the person can actually eat well o
🎉

You are so amazing 😍
Is not possible because things are way more expensive 😂😂

The Yoruba spirit in me everything you mention tomatoes. It might be a choice but original recipe doesn't need it.
Meat cannot be in that list😂
Are you really a Yoruba woman?
No, I am Igbo. Proudly!😊
No, I am Igbo. Proudly!😊
You've exceeded the 1k by n350🥲
This is really Awesome ma'am😊
