- I’ve explained how to convert your visitor visa or tourist visa to a work visa or Canada work permit in 2023 through a public policy issued by IRCC that allows foreign residents to apply for a work permit from within Canada. This applies to people planning to come to Canada on a visitor visa as well, and those who have managed to secure a Canada job offer with an LMIA. Last date for this Public Policy has been extended to February 28th, 2025. More details in the Video!

Kindly correct me if i am wrong. If i will be visiting canada with my family and i then found myself a job, my husband will be elligible to work thru an open work permit right? How about our kids? Can they stay with us? I would appreciate ur answer..i didn't get the last part. Sorry😅
Your husband will get an employer-specific work permit, you'll get an open work permit, and your kids can get visitor/student permits as may be needed.

Almost all jobs we apply to have a clause if we are legally entitled to work in Canada and upon selecting 'No', the application gets rejected. Is this applicable to LMIA approved job vacancies as well?

You can simply fly there, find an employer, and apply for an employer-specific work permit.

Hi Jason. You mentioned that all CVs preferably should be modified to suit the job description. What if you are applying for a job that's completely out of your speciality?? You still have to edit it all??

Hi.. I have a doubt about getting a visitor visa. Canada government officially announced that we can convert visitor visa to work visa. Then why should I convince the visa officer that I will return back to India after my visa expires? I think we can't apply for a visitor visa without holding a proper job..
