Austin Tindle's voice is so calm, so imposing ! Its perfect for Knives.
He and JYB are giving us the best dub performances of the year, calling it now.
Here while voting for best dub va. You called it
Again, Stampede being even more of a treat when watching the dub.
I'll be honest, I never found Knives intimidating in the original series. Legato was hands down my favorite psychopathic villian and he was one of Knives' lackies.
Here, it really does feel like Knives is a force to be reckoned with. I get chills whenever he appears (even if he shows up real early in this version).
Austin Tindle was a great choice for the character.
I do hope this Anime doesn't disappoint with its own version of Legato though.
@@eamonndeane587 You and me both. They’ve already teased him in an episode. So far, I’m personally not fond of his redesign though. He looks… basic by comparison.
EDIT: Just watched episode 7 in Japanese and yeah. Not a fan of this Legato at all.
You should read the manga at some point. Knives is god damned monster in that.
I agree while I understand what they were trying to do in the original with him I felt like all he did was just sit in the background and spout ominous lines about how he's gonna destroy Vash when his lackeys were doing all the work but here I love how he is way more proactive and does everything himself also his new weapon is terrifying instead of a pistol they gave him blade tentacles that let him destroy everything in his path, the scene where he brings the entire village down in one fell swoop was really well done can't wait to see how this show portrays Nicholas Wolfwood (my favorite character)
To be fair, 90s Trigun anime was completed before Nightow finished the manga, which explains the huge amount of filler in the first half of the season and the poor characterization of Knives. So we got a Knives that came off as a cackling baddie with his underling, Legato ending up winning the "Who's the better villain?" contest.
People can say what they want about Trigun Stampede, but I haven't heard anyone complain about Knives. Trigun Stampede alone is worth watching just because of Knives.
Say what you will about the new Trigun anime but Knives is so much more menacing in this new one.
Helps when we Vash sees him in person earlier
💯
I disagree about that one, but I do enjoy having him make more regular appearances.
Knives being better in Stampede than in the 90s anime is pretty much a universal sentiment at this point. People complain about the art style, character design, characterization, and Milly's temporary replacement Roberto but NEVER about Knives. Knives is what makes Stampede worth watching.
I mean... they have a better View on what Made him Like that... It's actually sad that i can relate the points of View of both...
I was skeptical about Stampede... Then, I watched a clip with Knives in it, and I melted. It's not fair that Tindle's lilting, almost sensual voice is so hot but so scary. It's smooth as silk and effortless. He's killing the villainy. I got chills. I love the way they've upped the villainy ante. Also, welcome back JYB!
Ooh, I love Austin Tindle's voice for Knives! What a perfect casting choice for him.
He really captures how insane Knives has been all these centuries and how he sees himself as a god.
@@BryonYoungblood He does and that's what makes Austin Tindle a talented voice actor.
@@peytonrabun5433 I initially envisioned Chris Patton in the role, but this is more than fine.
@@SpaceWanderer03 Ooo, that would also be a good choice for Knives as well!
I will admit that Austin Tindle makes the perfect voice for knives millions it fits him well
This anime is so good. Its such a sleeper hit and underrated. The animation is stunning and its retelling the story of Trigun, but giving it a fresh spin.
Given what it seems to be building towards, its more like a prequel tbh🤷♂️
@@sassyNsarcastic If you mean a prequel to the original then that already wouldn't work.
@@firionkaiser8291 A prequel story to the rewrite they're trying to make😑
@@sassyNsarcastic I mean, kind of? I feels like they're setting up all the characters and setting for a large portion of season one, so they can focus more on the gritty stuff in season 2 without worrying as much about the details.
INSANE that this is an underrated anime. It is SO good, but guess some people can't punch nostalgia & the "3D is evil" devil in the throat.
As a fan of the original and the manga, let me just say THIS IS MY FAVORITE NEW ANIME HANDS DOWN! And I am the biggest nostalgiatard there is!! ❤❤❤❤
Love Johnny Yong Bosch reprising his role as Vash.
Holy SHIT knives is intimidating. And did you see the animation on vash’s gun when knives did the gate-thing? I can’t wait to see vash’s angel arm, I hope they go full body horror!
The old anime has a special place in my heart, but I have to recognise that this new version is SO freaking good, I love the animation, the character design is awesome (except the fact that the og design of vash is still my fav), and the writting is quite good. In this new version knives really feels like a threat,, unlike the old one.
srry for my bad english btw :p
yeah knives is pretty scary in the new one- he kinda was a bit silly and not scary at all in the original
A fight between siblings never changes
Austin Tindle's Knives is so good, just as good as the late Kirk Baily's performance in the original anime.
Yes, two legends right here! 🤩
Never thought I’d hear Ichigo and Kaneki in the same anime.
That's one heck of a fight right there waiting to happen!
The voice sound effect for when Nia traps Vash in the "gate" realm is pretty cool! Only can appreciate it with headphones tho. Really emphasizes the distortion of it the realm.
I love Austin's voice for Knives. Just like Kyutaro and Saejima.
Even after about 20 years Jonny still got it
After all these years, he still sounds like a teenage boy. I love it.
When I first heard Austin Tindle, I often thought he sounded just like JYB. So, this really gives the vibes of two brothers confronting each other.
God this scene his VOICE …. like he seriously captured me in both JP and ENG 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
Gonna be honest, this version of knives is genuinely scary, and that’s not just because of the voice actors, it’s the fact we actually get to see him, do stuff. Most of the time we just see him be his disturbing self in the past and his fight with Vash, the evil really only came from the gung-ho guns. Here we see him be the sadistic, murderous, misanthropic, wannabe god we’ve been told about.
Austin Tindle as Millions Knives! I say this Definitely and Totally Suits Him Perfectly!
Agreed.
@@peytonrabun5433 Yep! I Absolutely Love Austin Tindle SO much in the English Dub Anime Community!
@@zakirstocks9514 I love Austin Tindle as well! He's one of the many voice actors that inspire me to become a voice actor in the future.
@@peytonrabun5433 That's Awesome for you dude! Way to go! I'm proud and happy for you, for Becoming a Great Voice Actor! *I High Five you* 😀😃😄😁👍👌🤚
Austin Tindle's voice sounds so cool as Knives!
I like Austin’s performance of Knives he sounds amazing
Austin Tindles Knives voice gives me Ken Kaneki and Accelerator vibes
God damn is Knives imposing as hell.
This series really made Knives feel intimidating and like more of a threat compared to the original. I'm so glad we get more of him
FINALLY EP 3 DUB
The dub sounds amazing 🤩🤩🤩
The late Kirk Baily will always be the definitive Knives but Austin definitely giving us a chilling performance and it cool to hear him acting opposite of Johnny yong bosch
Austin and JYB are absolutely killing it in this episode, I’m loving this new Trigun stampede as much as the original. Can’t wait to see more !
Yea I might get this on dvd when it drops.
What I love is that the voice of Vash from 1998’s dub is also the voice of Vash in Stampede, JYB the king of dubs
Ok I think I've figured it out. Vash will fight Knives at the end of the season and lose. Giving use the origin that we're familiar with. July city will fall along with the two reporters.
Heavy Dante and Vergil vives
Austin Tindle is back!
Everything in this clip absolutely slaps, the animation, the sound design and the voice acting is all amazing!! Hearing the raw emotion in Vash’s voice compared to Knives calm, yet intimidating voice, this whole clip sends chills down my spine. Just absolutely breathtaking. ❤️🤯🤯
Remember if you face a blonde immortal man with an affinity for knives at the top of stairs... *NIGERUNDAYO!*
wow yea hes way more intimidating the second time around oh my god
I love the dub version for this show
Knives is a incredible villain in this version. This is a remake done well. I'm hoping the next season is just as good.
How ironic that Ken Kaneki is the one telling someone else to pick a side.
Knives is extremely scary in this ep esp when he went hr geiger on the townsfolk later
Me realizing that Monoma and Knives share the same English voice actor 😭😭😭😭✨✨✨✨
JYB was Dragonite, Austin Tindle was Druddigon. Two voice actors in 2 anime? Transformers Chronicles and Trigun Stampede? Awesome!
I am waiting patiently for dubbed trigun stampede. I’m in love with this dub! Thanks for letting JYB reprise this amazing role again! ❤❤❤
Vash and knives reunite after 3 episodes how many it took in the original for the them to see each other again
Maybe too long
Well, in the original Knives was played as more of a mystery. You didn't know Vash had a twin or really most of his backstory at all. Here, they lay out part of it at the very beginning, probably since most people know how the original series goes. So you don't have to hide it. But we've also made Knives a whole lot more threatening, so it works but in a different way.
In the original, they didn't meet each other again until near the end of the series.
Damn im high on nostalgia
Vash = Dante and Knives = Vergil
Oh wow, that was surprising
It almost sounds like Accelerator vs Touma
I never expected Monoma to be so damn terrifying.
god, the dub is SO good
CAN I JUST SAY THAT THE DUB IS EVEN BETTER THAN THE SUB?!?! The sub is fantastic but THIS!!!! Welcome back, Johnny Yong Bosch, and hello Austin Tindle!!!!
Remember Marco the angel from attack on titan yeah knives' ENG VA is marcos va
Thank goodness for Johnny yong Bosch
YES I LOVE AUSTIN TINDLE
Not gonna lie, I'm intrigued. The animation is different but not bad. Can't wait to check out this adaptation, maybe it's the refresher it needs. If it comes out good, I vote for a Yu-Yu Hakusho refresher, darker with modern animation.
Does their prise cure it? The loneliness? DAMN HOW SILKY AND TERRIFYING
Knives seems overpowered
He should be until the final clash.
Brotherly love I suppose
Vash is on the same level as Knives, the only real difference being that Vash doesn't want anyone to die.
Knives is overpowered. Makes him a good villain
I see you haven’t read the manga.
who side are you on. :qoute by Million knives.
Where is the dubbed version available to watch? I have hulu but its only in japanese and subtitled...ughh
Crunchyroll.
Eugh, walking in blood barefoot is barbaric
I can't believe they got rid of Mille
Knives was guaranteed for a recast unfortunately because of the original actor’s passing. So, this is one recast I will let slide because of it.
He does the character justice, give credit where it is due.
Knives R. Kreutz, much?
Wait WAT
its the Batman and Joker problem..
Not to sound like a buzz kill but is it just me or does someone sound off like a spacing between the interaction feeling too long.
Austin and Jonny are giving in strong performances but something feels off
People only say he's better than the original anime because he has special powers 🥺 him being the inverse of Vash and having the same capabilities is what made he a good character originally to me. Now he's just "le evil bad guy"
Voice acting, top notch. Animation, mind blowing. Storytelling... Lacking...
What happened to Vash?🥺
knives in dub makes me feel so uncomfy LMAO
Worst brother ever
Dramatic vash... I prefer the original.
Wait... who's Nai?
Nai was his childhood name
why they make trigun gen z
Why not?
@@Teknanam thats fair, the show is not for me, but It honestly looks good
I wish the design for Knives didn't suck
I might be the only one who thinks this but this kind of animation is not good for anime. This isn’t Pixar or Dreamworks
My God the EDGE, this remake is basically a Linkin Park song and I've would've love it if they didn't butcher the plot progression and dumped like all of the story in first episode, the original series was amazing for many things, one of them was progression at which you got the things about Vash and all, and this is just rushing things and all of it's content simply doesn't hit that hard.
Its rushing around because it has 100+ chapters of material from the manga to get to and it doesn't want to just be a 1:1 adaptation of either the manga or old anime. Trigun 98 only adapted like 40 chapters and spent most of its time making up its own stories.
@@Teknanam well it's still worse than the original in pacing department, which is bad. I kinda don't want to watch other episodes, but I hope they do other stuff right to make up for such a flaw.
@@FreemanBBFQ
The pacing only seems off because things that Trigun 98 dragged its feet on were gotten to really quickly. But Trigun 98 dragging its feet wasn't simply for character development. It was a pragmatic decision to deal with the fact that they had very little manga material to adapt. A state of fairs that Stampede doesn't suffer from. Stampede has no reason to spend 10+ episodes on Vash goofing off in random towns beating thugs when they could instead be adapting characters from the manga who either got adapted wrong or weren't adapted at all. Why save Wolfwood's true allegiance until his final episode when the manga reveals it 2 chapters after his debut? Why push Knives's proper debut until the tail-end of the series when he shows up at Jenora Rock in the manga? These are the questions Stampede faces and why its not just a reboot of the 98 anime.
The dub is good. OK i don't like The guy Who plays knives. I would select an other voice actor even if that meant I need to pay too much money.
Johnny just rocks.
Austin in my opinion sounds The same in all anime. Sorry i do not like him.
Not particularly impressed
Just skip this terrible remake and do yourself a favor and just watch the og anime if you haven't seen it already cause its 10000000% better than this garbage remake.
Both of them have pros and cons. Stampede definitely has the edge plot progression since Trigun 98 spends way too much time with Vash meandering around in random towns that end up meaning nothing beyond "excuse to watch Vash goof around with randoms".
you mean the '98 version with just vash fooling around and no character development or real plot at all?
so bad stop re making classics
It isn't and it's not a remake, but more so a reimagining of the manga.
This is not a remake its retelling of the Trimax manga
Technically everything is a remake of a classic
@@LutherOMight is this based on Maximum? Some were saying it’s a alternative time line but I hope it’s based off maximum
@@Blad3sofWaR is a retelling of Maximum, it will have the same lore and major plot beats. It's the same characters with a different design and the events won't happen in the same order but its lore and canon accurate. Hope that explains it.
This looks terrible
Sorry you are blind
Notice how nobody cares
