this show is something else. you literally feel the emotional weight of each episode. Honestly i still dont get why people Still shit on this anime. its near perfect

Honestly I haven't watched yet but as someone who has seen the old Trigun and loves it to bits I think it's just that the difference in aesthetic the 3D brings to the table is pretty jarring 🤔
However I've only heard good things about Tr Stampede so I plan to give it a chance once I manage some free time

For me I think it’s just the difference between the older one and the new one. There almost like 2 totally different shows. The animation, some characters, story and just the whole vibe of the shows are different. I’m trying to get into Stampede but I don’t really like the vibe it gives and also the characters are just a bit too dramatic for me. In the old one everything was just bro chilled and calm. Anyways this is just my opinion love and peace ✌️
This was such a fantastic visual choice to illustrate Wolfwood's backstory.
Orange has done something similar to this in one of the early episodes of Beastars season 1. Once again, they are nailing everything so well in the animation department. They deserve more credit.

I really love that this version of Trigun has some flashbacks in 2D since this is 3D. It really has a nice touch and mix to it. It does kinda give you the idea what the animation would look like if it was 2D instead of 3D, ykwIm?
All the people shitting on Livio bc he "wasn't in the 98 anime" makes me sad, because he's like, the coolest character in the damn manga, and just because he wasn't in the 98 doesn't mean he is a bad character

Your theory is likely incorrect. I believe Milly will show up later, maybe next season (and I believe there will be one), as Roberto is dead, so Meryl has undergone her growth and character arc, and will train her new friend Milly.

Wolverine and Deadpool are Marvel characters with regeneration who have survived being shot in the head. And Marvel comics is one of the big influences on Trigun. The fact that Legato says Livio still has use for him despite the headshot should make it clear that he's not simply dead.
One way or the other, we are going to see Livio again.
There's a reason Livio is one of the most badass characters in the manga. He will be back.

If you don't get hung up by the fact that it isn't a remake of the old Trigun anime nor a Brotherhood style adaptation of the Trigun manga, its an enjoyable ride.

@@Teknanam It’s more like a remake or a soft reboot of the Trigun Manga.
@@wifi961 The way that the director described it was that it's similar to how they adapt comics into movies. The goal is to take what they love about the source material and adapt it in a way that will make it accessible to new audiences, while giving people familiar with it new twists on stuff they're already familiar with. I'm thrilled they went with that direction because it means I get to experience a Trigun story for the first time again, and I love it just as much as the other versions.
