since noone else has said it, the reason the blades at the beginning were attacking you is because their aggro is set randomly as well. Theirs were high so they attacked you. I saw it in past oblivion randomizers before

idk if this would help at all since I'm not fully through the video atm and maybe you already know, but the oblivion randomizer not only comes with the randomizer file but comes with different config files! Just the randomizer file randomizes EVERYTHING including characters aggression lvl (which is why people start attacking each other at random) but if you don't want that to happen there's a config file in a folder you get when downloading the mod labeled "QUEST" which makes it so quest items are untouched (so you don't have to spend years looking for them) as well as not touching the npc's aggression! I don't even know if you'll see this, but I play with the randomizer mod a bit and it's really fun :) Hopefully it helps even if only a little!

For the 1st oblivion gate you take out, if you press the interact button fast enough on the sigel stone you can actually collect up to 3 of them But it's the only gate you can collect 3 of them there are a couple others you could possibly get up to 2

i used to sit in that cell, leveling every skill i could before leaving, if you jump into the chains and spam jump it levels acrobatics fast as hell. and then beating on the guards until every weapon broke lmao. leave the sewer at level 15 or more. good times.
Funny thing is you had a weapon that could one shot Dagon. His weakness is lowering his fatigue and you have an arrow of apathy

The reason the blades armor sucked was because you never selected your class so you have no major or minor skills, all your stats are super low and the armor values derive from your stats (damage values also derived from your stats so all your weapons will suck as well.)
On level thing
The reason you want to set your skills to one's you don't use much is so that you can control your level ups. You seem when you level in oblivion, you can raise your attributes by a certain amount, this amount is derived by how many levels in each skill, from 1-5, doing anything but a 5 is called "a dirty level," and this will leave you very underpowered. The problem is, while the player can raise their stats by 1 to 5 points every level, enemy stats are always as if they had raised their attributes by 5 every level. So if you level the intended way, you'll be fighting an enemy that, while you may have the same level, your stats are actually basically 10 levels behind.
