I love how you can remember where each stamp came from and who gave it to you. I got my first ‘kick-start’ in philately from a neighbour who gave me a shoebox of worldwide stamps when I was about 12.
Thank you for watching, the shoebox is a great way to start too😉

I enjoyed this video very much, Richard. As usually it is very well scripted and clear. You had beautiful and exceptionally neat childhood collections. Those stock books themselves are very nice as well. The memories with the stamps are priceless. I don't know if I should know: but do you still collect Chinese stamps? I would have thought that collection is a very good collection.
Thanks for watching and the kind words, and yes I still collect Chinese stamps.
I love your stamps especially your Chinese stamps, thank you for sharing!

Nice to watch your video. I remember acquiring my very first stamp at 8 years old. I found it on the sidewalk where it had fallen from a letter the mailman carried. It was a U.S. presidential series stamp. I have been collecting for 70 years!
